about the "date" think...it's an American thing, don't ask. it why we still use a body parts measuring system. to thumb our noses. besides, we were dang near the first colony of europe's to bolt outright from under Britan's thumb...so we're old fashioned in ways.

I'm used to being the "greybeard" on other forums. often, I'm literally the oldest poster, as everybody else up to and including Baby Boomers are either rolling in dough or working their butts off to bother with technology.

Well, let's see. The US Law states that you have to be 21 to drink legally. I'm 22. I've, thus, been legal to drink for a year.
That's not to say I never drank before I was 21.
