How to get Chrome Paint? I got the exact answer.

Are you guys not aware of the restart trick that let's you (slowly) cycle through the special paints until chrome (or the matte you're after) shows up?

If not, when you're awarded the special paint at every 30 car interval, if it's not the one you want, DO NOT press ok. Quit game and restart until the paint you're after shows up. Press ok when it does.

I tried this, got it!! But i had to restart about 25 times!!!!
 
Ok, I'm a bit confused... I don't get paints at all for numbers of cars in my garage???? I get horns???? am I just being screwed?
 
Seriously I've been playing GT5 since day1, I've completed all the special events except the Vettel Challenge, I'm lvl 30 Aspec and 24 Bspec, I got 176 cars...
I keep getting more and more paint chips but I've NEVER received a chrome one.

I think it's horns for all multiples of 10, it SHOULD be a special paint for all multiples of 30.

In some cases people report that they receive paints in various circumstances but DON'T receive the message.

This is most likely a bug in the translation lookup.

No you don't. I didn't get it until I got to 240 cars. It's multiples of 30, not 90, and it's still random even at the 30s. Some have gotten it at 300, or 270, some got GOLD Chrome at 240 or 270 or 300.
 
There is a process by which you can cycle your matte gift paint until the chrome comes up, there is a you tube on it somewhere.
 
I have 530 cars, 6 chrome, (3 silver, 3 gold.) I have not won one chrome paint. I have all the pots of paint from friends. So, you get a pot for 90 cars, I think not.

By the by, you should try the search function, as their is quite a few threads about this topic already.
 
I have 1200 cars, and NEVER got a Silver Chrome, those were sent in by friends. When I bought the 1200th car, I got the Gold Chrome, and shared the love, obviously...

The same for me. I NEVER got chromes while I was collecting.

Now I just need to start buying some more cars so that I can get a few gold chromes :)
 
To obtain Gold chrome just buy 30 cars in a row, (i bought go carts) when you reach 30 and go to home screen you will be offerd a matt or silver/gold chrome. If you don't get colour you want exit game and reload.
Repeat cycle untill you get colour you want, took me 40 minutes.
Don't mention it. ;) Trading a car for a pot of paint is just wrong lol
 
over 300 cars and no chrome paint yet.

don't realy care actualy, it look hideous on any car.
 
Indeed it is random.. I currently have 300 cars in my garage exactly and the only Chrome i have is Gold Chrome which i recieved yesterday twice! got 1 at 240 & 300. I wan't on a spending spree :P
