Hello! Today I just received my Fanatec GT3 RS wheel, and am unsure on how to turn it on? I feel stupid right now so if anyone can help me.

I have it connected to the power source BTW

Oh, i see it now, thanks! Also how do I reactivate the clutch? I started using the Paddles, and now I want to shift in 6-Speed, but how do i do that?

It should work automatically in GT5. You don't have to press any buttons. If you want to use clutch and 6-speed, then just step on a clutch and change the gears with 6-speed. Game automatically reckognises that you use them.

Alright. Final question, what is the easiest way to get used to the wheel,
i've used a pad for 7 years now.

Pick cars you love to drive and just drive them. The more time you put in the better you'll become. Don't get frustrated and give up.

Well I finally had to give up, the table I was using fell due to high FFB.

Was way better than using a pad on rally racing, I still can't get used to road racing though. Tomorrow I'm going to head over to HomeDepot and pick up some supplies to start fabricating my cockpit. I have a friend who has a seat for me. There's also a piece of glue that has stopped the table clamp for going in all the way, so I'm kinda forced to make a cockpit and hard mount.

It will take a while to get used to it so don't be in too much of a hurry for results, just enjoy the drive. I'm still less than fully used to mine and I simply upgraded from an older, cheaper wheel.

In my case(80GB Fat) I've found that if I turn the PS3 on with the wheel plugged in but not turned on, it doesn't recognize it correctly when I do turn on the wheel. If something like this happens to you, it's not necessary to turn the PS3 off to fix it, just unplug the USB, turn it on, and then plug the USB in. As long as the PS3 stays on you can turn the wheel off and on and it should work without issue.

Now if only I could always remember to turn it off when I'm done...

I also can't seem to get it into PC mode. Can anyone tell me how to update the drivers and get it working on the GTR2 Demo?

Ah, so it should automatically work then right? I could only use the keyboard in GTR2

Of course you have to set the wheel up in the game. It doesn't take automatically that this pedal is doing that and this button that. Wheel itself should work like with every other game.

You probably do need to download and install the driver from Fanatec's support section, if you haven't done so already. Don't have GTR2 so I don't know anything specific about it.

The latest drivers can be found on Thomas' blog. Fanatec really needs to consolidate and organize this stuff. Until then, we'll be posting links in forums.

If you hook your wheel up to the PC and turn it on, it should go into PC mode automatically. Also, just make sure you don't have a ton of other game controllers hooked up if you plan to use your wheel with GTR2 and other Simbin titles. It seems there's a limit to how many USB controllers it will detect. I had trouble getting my Fanatec GT2 wheel to show up in game because I had my Logitech G13, Logitech F710, Xbox Wireless dongle, and my ClubSport pedals all connected via USB. I had to unplug the controllers I wasn't using.

I downloaded the drivers and ran the setup, now what do I do?
