how to win the national A kart series ?

I use a ps3 controller to win the races, but the kart series in national A is keeping me closing out the series. what to do ? kart setup ? driving options ? or just get the timing right ?

You can watch replays, after the race, and see the speed & racing lines, the leader is doing. You should then adjust your top speed/final gear accordingly.

Also use your brake, trying to go flat out will actually slow you down.
