Almost as happy as I'll be, the very same day, when Obama's flying-monkey democRats get their asses kicked right off and handed to them. That's much more important and will make me much happier, even though I'm getting the CE version of GT5 with release-day delivery.

What a useless thread topic, though. 👎

Wow, some sad little lemmings on the forums today...

I can guarantee that once people get the game, it won't take long to get used to the eye candy and features, and it will become just another (albeit very good) racing game. Right now, people are high on hype, but that's just the thrill of the chase. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people actually felt a sense of disappointment as they first play the game and realise that when all's said and done, it's just Gran Turismo in a new suit with added bells and whistles. For most people that's all it needs to be.

Don't get me wrong, I'm super-hyped for the game and cannot wait for it, but at the same time I have my expectations managed.

See, the reason I am looking forward to it is that it is "just" Gran Turismo. Really what else did you expect? A platformer maybe?

Why is it sad to say you're going to be stoked when you get GT5?

Your opinion.

So you'll be stoked then!

This takes GT to a new level, beyond my expectations.

I cannot begin to appreciate the technical and artistic brilliance PD have put into this game, because I have no such skills myself. I can however see how this will stand head and shoulders above anything else, including other game genres. What we have here is a game that will entertain us for years, unlike most other AAA titles which are completed in a few hours. Quite frankly (don't read this Sony), I would happily pay double for the game.

I have criticised PD in the past, due to the lack of information, contradictions and development time, and I do not necessarily retract those criticisums, but we really are lucky to have a team prepared to create a video game of this depth and quality, where commercial considerations and extracting money from their customers seem to have a lesser role in their thinking.

A year after this game is released, even two years after... you will look back at your comment above, and you will realize how wrong you are...

This game is for stay... ;) 👍 GT6 will be the complete GT5 that we have been waiting for, and plus!!

Let's say GT5-P is 25% of what GT5 is supposed to be in our mind,
and GT5 is 85% of what GT5 should be based on our expections...
then GT6 will be at least 110% of we wanted in GT5 originally.

Seminal fluid will.. oh no wait I can't say that one.

I'll be relieved and happy because I won't have to sit and wonder about things all the time. Finally my GT5 playing time will begin.

I wont be bored out of my mind because of late I have hardly touched my PS3 due to the lack of decent games to play on it. Prologue is boring.. infact it was boring 2 years ago and yeah.. I doubt I'll ever play any other car game apart from GT5 until GT6 comes along.

Like i'm having an orgasm, while listening to V12 F1 cars

i kinda agree with you because this is how i felt with GT4, but i disagree because this has way more to offer than any other racing game out there. it maybe "just Gran Turismo in a new suit with added bells and whistles" to you, but those added bells and whistles is what will keep the replay value of the game at a high rate.

I'll make arrangements for great periods of "nothing" in my agenda. Then play it for 30 hours straight, then lurk around this site, and read/watch reviews. And I will smile all the time, hoping I could also feel like others do.

i got class in the morning that day, probably pick gt5 off on my way back, and then play it right through tues and wed
