HSR ZO6/GT-R/F430 bias

Did you guys ever think that the people using the F430 use it because they like that car especially over the choices your given..Not everyone chooses cars simply on how easy they are to drive..

I did this event three times and when i had the GTR i started 1st and finished 2nd (passed by 430) we had a VERY close race.

When i had the 430 i started in mid pack and got 1st quite easily but the car was sort of unsettling in how it over steers when i slow for the fast sweeper at 160mph..

The FASTEST car was the vette! i started dead last and made my way to FIRST, even though 2 cars tried to punt me as i passed them.. one time i got pushed into the wall and got a penalty! and i still passed the guy later as he spun out.

I thought the corvette can handle(turn) just as good as all the others, i was out braking and passing cars on the inside/outside that car is a beast! i guess its the new physics

I remember with the old physics i had to be at less than 1/2 throttle through the bends or it would spin.. now i just lay the hammer down from the apex and reel them in.

I've used the GT-R on that race, many times, because everyone using the F430 never got by me. I did worse in the F430 as well when i tried it.

Gonna try the Z06 now, seems fun.

Edit: Woah, this thing is insane! After spinning out 50 times on the first lap i finally managed to get it under control, it's fast! 1.12.600 all alone. Now time for another go!

Edit 2: Looking at the global ranking times on HSR with Z06... i really doubt that i managed a 1.12.600... Must've been drafting in the end or something since the fastest time is 1.13.6xx

Exactly! I used the F430 from day one and always said it was one of, if not my favorite car to drive in the game.

Also, the MR setup suits my driving style much better than a FR setup and I don't drive AWD cars as I find them to be unchallenging. When given the option between FF MR FR or AWD cars, you'll almost always find me in the MR car.

Interesting posts so far. I find that I can usually battle my way up if there's say 5 cars or less, but it's much more difficult when there are more than that. (Especially when there are punters who knock you into the new-sensitive-wall where you get a penalty and they don't!)

I found that the Corvette is faster on the straights, noticeably at 160+

While tricky to corner, you CAN in fact turn where you don't lose as much time to the other cars if you modulate the throttle properly.

There is no bias, the Z06 is the quickest car out of the group for such a track. It has more power and less weight than the GTR. With the new update, the Z06 becomes very responsive on S3 tires and oversteer only happens when throttle is induced in burst or off apex.

A good driver in a Z06 will finish close or at the top a HSR if he can stay clear of punter, he'll just pill drive on the straights and maintain the lead in the curves.

Most people do choose a car they like to drive. However, I believe that most people will choose what car they like based on how that particular car suits that person's driving style. Therefore, I think that because the F430 is a good compromise between speed and handling it will fit more peoples' driving style.

Personally, I like to drive all three because I can learn each car's strengths and weaknesses and adapt my driving accordingly. Plus, it gives me a bit of variety.

1.12.600 may be possible in the online race because it's with S3 tyres, whereas time trials are limited to S2.

I also like this race in any of the cars, though unfortunately I'm not good enough to be competitive in the Vette yet.

However, he seemed to be risking his life a hell of a lot more than the guy who drove the GT-R for their lap.

Sweet! The difference is he was driving a RWD powerhouse that doesn't put NASA between you and the wheels. The GT-R is an impressive machine and I defo wouldn't say no but you can pretty much sit in the back seat and send it a text message telling it how fast you want to go round the track. I know which one I'd rather drive, lap record or not.

My fastest lap at HSR in an online race was a 1:10.6xx with an F430..On average I'd say my laptimes are between 1:12.5-1:13.5. Although not sure how this works but there have been races where even if I put in a very clean lap I can barely get into the low 1:14's and some races I'm doing 1:11's racing by myself without the help of drafting.

I've only had one guy with GTR that I couldnt overtake because he was about the same pace as me with the F430...

It seemed he was using gt5 arcadey physics to slide to the corner, while I took em smoothly.

The online timing varies a lot due to quality of connection between players and should not be use to gauge actual performance. This is especially so if you try to test setting for PP races.

Always use offline mode if you want accurate lap times.

im pretty sure i got a 1:11.9xx in the f430 earlier on today and i think i managed a 1:12.8xx with the vette..

not sure tho.. ill have to check

IDK but the ZR1 just killed the GTR at nurburg so I wonder if it will be able to do it in game or will Poly "tweak" it so there car will still be the best.

There is a clear bias in this game pertaining to the GTR its like the F333 of Forza.

LOL...what??? Why would Poly tweak the GTR, they're trying to make a game that plays as realistic as possible. You're the one with the bias here buddy. The GTR IS faster around most courses then the Z06, yet you're calling fowl and saying they're going to make the GTR faster then the new super high end corvette, the ZR1 which has 680hp? Why would you suggest that...oh you seem to be biased?

Not to get off topic but the new ZR1 ACTUALLY has a reported 638 horsepower (taken from Chevrolet.com). The ZR1 is NOT the Z06 though so they are different ballparks.

Nothing to do with HSR but the GT-R is much faster around the Topgear Test track recording a time of 1.19.7. The Z06 went around in 1.22.4.

I can't find a time for the F430 but the F360 CS has a time of 1.22.3.

The F360 CS is about a second slower that the F430 around Fiorano

the only reason why i think PD has put the ZO6 at the back is to stop all the mayhem that could happen. i think PD think most of the drivers driving the zo6 will not be able to handle it..i.e mayhem at any corner you lose it on.

i don't agree with you CWR, the zo6 is a decent car, a good driver in a z06 can take on most drivers in a f430.

I agree the car is very snappy. If you dont do any mistakes you might have an ok finish but its all skillz 👍

The times on the Top Gear track can't serve as a fair comparison, as it's twisty with a lot of slow corners, 'helping' the GT-R when compared to the Z06.

But that's just my opinion.

TG track is a power circuit. The new STI has more power than the EVO X and the STI beat the EVo even though the EVO handles ebtter.5th gear lapped the EVO quicker around their track. Best comparison would be on The 'Ring!

Yeah i have noticed that the F430 does seem to accelerate better than the Vette and therefore have a higher speed when arriving at the next corner,it also seems to have noticably stronger brakes and you can brake later than the in the Vette & it`s turn in seems more precise too. The Vette is quite good,it deos feel like it`s a bit bigger & heavier than the F430 but the F430 just feels that little bit better overall.
