I did it again.

I beat the Vigilante missions with the FBI cheetah and Police car. Ah! I am happy again. The best part is that it just took me two tries to accomplish it. No lets hope I get to find all the insane stunt jumps on this new save!

I got up to level 112 before i flew under an overpass by the airforce base. Then a tank ran into me ending my spree.

I did up to 157 I think. Then I gave up. It was 1:00 in the morning and I was tired.

Jack another tank--if you have the mansion (thats the easiest place for me, cops enter property but no vehicles).
Make sure you have about 20 rocket launchers to blow up police helicopters and plenty of bullets. The armor and health should respawn everytime you go in and out of the mansion. Get 6 stars, wait til there are just 2 tanks out front of the mansion-- grab the "pill" by the wall-- jump the wall and jack the tank. If the door is locked shoot the door til the soldier gets out (use the ruger found in the basement of the mansion). Kill the soldier (and make sure he is actually dead)-- the soldier will bust you otherwise so I can't stress this enuf--kill the soldier or any others if they are near you. Take the tank and store it at sunshine autos or hynman condo--I've never had any get eaten at either of these places.

I used this method about 4 or 5 times-- the first time I was probably about where you are in the game (if you have the mansion). I used the uzi the first time but it is alot easier with the colt python which you will get with enuf packages.

Good strategy there Spuds. But, I have to say DO NOT PARK CARS IN THE HYMAN CONDO GARAGES! That stupid Hyman Condo ate my Bulletproof Admiral, Bulletproof Sabre Turbo, Black Sanchez and my Romero's Hearse!

And, there is no Ruger in the mansion basement. There is a Chrome Shotgun and an M4 down there, along with health and armour pickups.

yeah, i've been using that technique for ages.. but i like to use the sniper rifle to get the guys out of the tanks.. you can shoot of the army guys' heads and they'll just fall out leaving you a tank

I've never tried it using the sniper rifle--sounds good to me. If the hyman condo ate one of my cars, it must not have been a memorable one.

A friend of mine got 6 stars at sunshine autos upstairs (blow up your cars inside first). When the tanks showed up he ran down to the garage across from the pay n' spray there--jumped in a car and drove across to clear the stars. One of the tanks had followed him down and was just sitting there when he came out (no soldier). He just jumped in, drove it in a garage and saved it.

my sunshine autos has 8 tanks in its garages also hyman condos has 4 in the big garage and 1 or 2 in the others... i dont think any have dissapeared yet.. and 1 more in the mansion garage.. i think the rest of the garages are too small for tanks, unless i'm leaving some out..

The only tank in my game is the one at the Air Base.

Same for me...I used one in my Hyman Condo for a while to help me finish the Vigilante and a few other missions before I could get a good use of the Hunter...
