Can someone confirm the contents of the american packaging? I'm trembling in anticipation, but can't get a copy till next month (HELL!!!) and I want to know what's inside (it's not like the japanese packaging, for sure...).

my life is worst, I first try pick up my game on the first day it came out and they didnt have it and so the next day I went to pick it up and I was so happy that i got it, and when i opened it up the gamedisc was missing so now i have to go back to the same store to try to get GT4. Hopefully they will give me the game. Damn this sucks. I think my life sucks more than yours drift-kid.

how thew hell was there no game in the case..........was it already opened
 
I´ll have to wait ´till thursday to reach my copy of GT4, ´cos that´s the arrival date for the game here, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. So, US guys, consider you lucky.
I´m new in the community, so I think that we´ve got a lot to chat about. I´m driving my beloved black Nissan Skyline R34 V-Spec II in GT3, but I really need to try GT4!!!!!! Anyway, time will tell.

If it was sealed up, I call BS on this guy. That story won't work when you take it back, pal.

The only thing inside is a very crappy instruction book. It doesn't even tell you how to turn the ghost on and off (you push up on the d-pad).

happened to me with gta vc
got it but they didnt put the dvd in and i didnt care got home was shattered had to make an extra trip back to town... ah thats life.

if its true they will probably have 1 disc more than they should if they took a stock take
 
I got mine today too. I've been playing for the last 4 hours. I reserved the game 2 weeks ago and when I went to Best Buy to pick up my copy, they told me to go get a copy off of the shelf when I brought em my reserve slip. WTF?!?! So I went to the shelf where GT4 was and there were only 2 copies left!!! If I wouldn't have gotten GT4 today, I would've been pi$$ed!!! What's the point of reserving it if they aren't even going to put the reserved copies aside? Stupid Best Buy. :yuck:
 
The manual is very crap. Did I just miss it? Or is there no info on switching to photomode during a replay in photodrive? There seems to be SO much information missing. No explanation of the jukebox. No explanation of various other things in GT mode. One of the worst manuals I've ever seen I think.

If you haven't already seen it posted, I stand corrected on the ability to use the your garage modded cars in GT4 during a 2-Player race. You indeed can. You just can't use them in any of the other Arcade modes.

It is Crap, The japanese manual is 209 pages and about as thick as the GT4 US new game package along, The Japanese GT4 Package is atleast twice the size, Where's the love?
 
Man guys, I'm so excited. After 2 days of no luck searching I should finally be getting GT4 today. I'd just like to say that if any of you guys don't have it yet, order it from ebgames.com. I ordered mine last night and the tracking thing says it will arrive today via ups. Of course, I did do next day delivery which was an extra 10 bucks. :ouch:
 
The first day I got GT4 I played from 2:00PM to 6:00...AM!!! Straight, NO BREAKS, NO TURNING OFF THE PS2!!! Only to the bathroom, not even to eat. How long did you guys played for the first time.

The first rime I played GT4 was for 10 mins while I was at my mates house waiting for another mate before we went out. Needless to say I've played it a bit more since then.

Maybe, the next time they just could add a piece of paper with a link to a website where you download the Japanese manual in English? Still have to print it yourself, but hey, it would be better then nothing, right? :dopey:

17hrs is nothing, people here have done the 24hr races none stop.

I am terribly sorry, i just got Gran Turismo 4 just yesterday and i have one question. is there any drifting type events whasoever? or anything drift related attached to the game? I am sorry for the bother i am just curious as to i ave just started the game and don't get much time to play now days. thank you
 
man i ordered GT4 3 days ago with 1 day shipping .... but still no GT4 .... something seem wrong there? lol

went to track it and ups claims the EBgames didnt give a shipping addy so now i gotta contact EB games and get this go'n .... i cant even sleep i was up all night think'n id be gett'n GT4 the other day and nutt'n
