Idea for a new seasonal. Nascar!!

I would love to see a seasonal event with NASCAR. Call it NASCAR goes International. Nurburgring, Sarthe, Tokyo 246, Suzuka and good old Daytona!👍 Who's up for it?

Was it? I don't remember that one. But I may have missed the first 2 or 3. I didn't get GT5 till after xmas.

Yeah, just did a quick search and it was #2, opened just before Christmas. Started out with strict restrictions, requiring a very clean lap of Nurb, while overtaking 15 other NASCARs. I think the restrictions were lifted part way through the event to make it easier.
But back to your first point, I dont see us getting another NASCAR event anytime soon, given the number of cars PD have to choose from

Nea for me. I feel that the NASCAR event in A-Spec was enough.

Don't think we will see one again anytime soon but the nordschleife nascar seasonal was a lot of fun!

I want endurance seasonals, and wouldn't mind if it was Nascar.

For Nascar to work it needs to be endurance, as feddixx wrote.

However, the AI and slip stream effect need to be vastly improved if Nascar is ever to be drivable. It is 'kin nonsense to race right now.

As much as I enjoy the 'challenge' of the 'catch 11 cars in 8 laps', this would not work for this.

The irony is, Nascar is about racing, but none of these seasonals are about racing. They are basically a 'lap this track in a given time, and drive past a few mobiles chicanes on the way'

Not for me thanks. I enjoy watching highlight packages of nascar, and I really appreciate how hard these RL drivers work, the cars are a bit blah for me in the game.

Nope. Nascar in this game is pretty lame. First gear through tight corners almost always results in a spin. Those cars are way too powerful for the lower gears

Me neither. I'm not a big fan of those things, I'll race them if I have to, but i'd prefer a bit more rallying if we are to chose from the "special" classes.

Not a big fan of Nascar, the A-Spec event was enough, B-Spec is infuriating and there has already been the 1 Nascar seasonal event as mentioned. If you need more then look online and there is always at least 5 rooms dedicated to Nascar racing too.

Reminds me of Bill Elliott's Nascar Challenge from waayyy back, and the Nurburg seasonal was fun also. It was the 1st seasonal I did in GT5.

Sad but true. PD need to hire some decent AI coders asap, it's laughable right now.

I must agree. Some of the seasonal events are fun like the Elise or Subaru but even then. They are more time related then you actually racing. In order to win you always have to have a more powerful car. That for me takes a bit of fun out of it and gets old after a while because every time you do the event you are passing the same car, in the same spot, in the same way.
Like mentioned above. It just seems like dodging obstacles.

I'm honestly not the biggest fan of NASCAR but I would like another Seasonal Event for it. If I remember correctly, one of the first Seasonal Events was a NASCAR event. I rarely drive the NASCAR vehicles but adding another Seasonal Event for it would encourage me to drive them.

It'd be annoying crap unless they removed their imositive rule of ASM ON for NASCAR . Seriously, in Daytona you lose around 30 Km/H in the bankings just because of the stupid Active Stability Management!!! What a way of ruining NASCAR even more PD 👎...

I voted nea (barely thogh i,m no hater, i just rather see WRC or other rally TimeTrail)
But there have been a TT (using nascar) on Nurnburgring allready ?, why wasn't that one "glitched" ?, maybe it would have been fixed now if someone found it back then (still would've caused the same annoyance, but it would atleast be working today, right ? )

Before GT5 I hated NASCAR - and now I hate it even more!!! .
