thanks mate I finally got my 2D race car after about a million attempts, got the 2J first try as well, surprised how many '67 cars there are in the game... dunno what else I need, wish there was an easy way to find out which cars you don't have!

You can tick off all your cars on MyGranTurismo.net. As you have most of them it would take you quite a while but at the end you would know which ones you were missing.
 
yeah I was thinking I might have to go through an official list checkiing off those I've already got, with over 1000 cars its not something I really wanna do, maybe PD will update the garage in some way which will help...
 
With Mygranturismo, I find it very handy for finding cars for certain races. You can sort cars by bhp and PP etc which is pretty handy.

Yeah mate. I have a mini, little beast ! Looking forward to my first go at a league. :)

Not to sure about beating Soopa, will give it a good go, they do say miracles can happen.

I will probably struggle this week since there are 2 FF races, my least favourite drivetrain layout!

I was planning on using the CLK for the final race, what's everyone else running? In the interest of a varied field I'd consider running something unique...

I might keep within half a lap of you with a FF motor, maybe ?!?! :ouch:

I think I will run the Beemer or Audi A4, depending on how my quick practise goes tonight :sly:
 
Just noticed there is no limit on the DTM race, I've checked and there's not as much difference in PP as I thought there was gonna be, but there are those in a 625-650PP range and those in a 575-600PP range

I think I'll leave the limit as PP isn't always entirely accurate on GT5 anyway. There are 6 cars though with very similar PP so hopefully everyone will have at least 1 of those.

The OCD currently has touring cars for the seasonals so everyone should be able to pick up the majority of the above alright..

I haven't checked the OCD for a while, might have to pick me up some brand new touring cars with 0 miles (assuming they're still doing that), can't hurt to have at least a fresh CLK & M3 in the garage :)

Yep, see you all in about 3 and a half hours time!

With the DTM cars, if you didn't know already there are 5 seasonals which are handy for additional practice..

Would be good practise if they made the AI competitive in this game!! ;)

What do you reckon about grid starts tonight?

First race do qualifying and other 3 do reverse grid start like last week?

Having the winner at the back of the next race keeps it competitive but not necessarily fair either..

I think last weeks format was good, the fastest gets to start in pole to begin with, but then has the challenge of starting at the back. I think its only fair to make the winner work hard for more wins and give someone else a chance to lead the race.

good fun tonight, race 3 I bumped danger_mouse78 a couple of times in the first turn, they weren't too heavy but I think it was enough to spin him out. That effectively took him out of the race as he got no draft, your call on appropriate punishment Dave, maybe switch our finish positions!? ;)

I noticed there were clio sport trophy race cars going cheap in the OCD, reckon they could be fun close racing fully tuned, might be an idea for next week?

It was a good night of racing, shame I was so out of sorts, 5 seconds a lap slower than practice on the first track, think Soopa pee'd in my petrol tank lol :yuck:

No need to swap points mate, it was a racing incident. I was trying to hard to keep lol

Cant wait till next week, I think a Fiat 500 (New) race is order as well ! :dopey:
 
I felt really bad cause it's so important to stay together in karts as once the slipstream is lost your never gonna catch up, that said it's also really difficult to race close without a bump with GT5's exagerrated slipstream effect, for a game that is so hot on realism I'm surprised they got this so wrong!!

yeah Fiat 500's will be a fun low power event, I think we did them recently though...?
 
I think we should always have a pp or hp limit in the races , for example the dtm race we had last night. That way the racing will always be close , just a thought.

I need to step up my game though , Soopa has ran away with this title.
 
If danger-mouse is happy with the incident, then we will leave it as that. I should have saved the replay!! You always get a lot of bumping in karts and I'm sure the contact was not deliberate. Was very unfortunate though as once you drop off it is very hard to get back to the front.

With regard to future races, we did have fiat 500 a few weeks back but I don't object to doing it again on another track. Don't think Skengdigi was racing then so it will be new to him as well as DM. I'll do the clio's the week after probably..

With regards to PP and BHP, I will look more carefully at races in future to keep it as competitive as possible with limits.

I will sort the races over the weekend, will be quite busy tomorrow though.

And looking at the table Soopa has won wayyyyy too many races. Next week, I don't want him winning more than 1 race. That is a challenge to everyone else involved.. ;)
 
Well I haven't sorted my list of cars required yet, could you send me a takata dome nsx, I have a feeling a spare one might come in handy ;)

how about next week anything goes against Soopa, pit manouveres, punts etc all ok against me only, I still abide by the normal rules... could be fun :)
 
I dunno mate, I would feel absolutely terrible if I smashed you into a wall......

Also, I can't see you winning a 5 lap race having made a pit stop! Like you say on MRC, you are an "average" driver after all.. :lol:

I have put the new set of races up and I'm expecting things to be fairly tight this week. I'm confident we can stop you without resorting to dirty tactics! Will be saying different next week though no doubt..

Just sent you the Takata Dome NSX '06. Got to be the best looking GT500 car on the game.. :drool:
 
well ok, maybe slightly above average, I've met lots of people online I've thrashed and quite a few that have thrashed me too, so I guess that puts me somewhere in the middle ;)

Thats why I chose that car, green is my favourite colour and the NSX is sexy as hell, am starting to regret my decision slightly though, they are the hardest 500 to tame and I've really gotta step my game up if I'm gonna win a race in my own league!!
