There is no doubt that the car in the first post next to the Mk II Elise is a Ferrari F355, the mystery car is the one with the white arrow pointed towards it. As for the suggestion that it is an M1, again it looks too high and the bumper contains much more black than the BMW.

Well ferrari or not, PD are just testing the car, its not to say they will deffinatly put ferrari in the game, I would love for them to include ferrari but they just dont have the license unless they did what they did with porsche, add the tuner manufacture instead.

Does anyone know if ferrari have a tuning company, and if so whats it called?

It has been mentioned that there is at least some chance of Ferrari being included, which makes the 355 even more interesting. Saying that though, it could just be the car was just innocently parked there and had nothing to do with the game. We can only hope! As for tuining companies that deal with Ferarri, I can only think of Koenig off the top of my head. They have done, amongst others a twin turbo, 850bhp Ferrari F50 which is nice......

Pantera maybe but DeLorean no and the reason being is that all of the DeLoreans ever made were in the color silver

Yes and no, because DeLoreans were not painted... their body was all brushed stainless steel, which happens to be silvery looking, but technically it's not, because it ain't painted. I've seen an orange DeLorean before (yuck!) but that was because it got wrecked and the stainless steel body panels were too expensive so the owner got fiber-glass replacements. I think he shoulda chosen a better color, though.

All DeLoreans that are not in the original stainless steel finish suffered from either a car wreck or a stupid onwer. Painted DeLoreans are actually valued less than ones with the original finish. No other car has ever been mass manufactured in stainless steel finish.

If you look at a DeLorean with the original finish you can see the swirl marks that the stainless steel brushing process leaves on the material. The silvery color will change brightness slightly depending on the angle of the light hitting the swirl marks.

I remember in back to the future, the night scene where they set up the clock tower to send him back him time, if you look at the delorian it actually looks silver/purple two tone, anyone else noticed that?

I didn't... But the DVD is just over there so I'll be looking in a minute...

I don't get the point of their stainless steel finish - yes it stopped rust totally. But not on the WHOLE car... The bottom of the car - the chassis and floorpan - were made from normal steel/aluminium and had to be covered in a clear resin to prevent corrosion. The resin was prone to stone-chips, and where you got stone chips you got spreading rust... Any cars that have more than 50,000 miles on them, or covered more than 5,000 miles in any one year are to be avoided - if you're after buying one.

PD said some cars in GT4 will include bodykits, so maybe its an MR2 with an F355 bodykit? They do exist. Or maybe it is an F355 and PD needed to test the performance of it's engine, brakes or something similar because they couldn't get hold of a similar car of the same weight and performance and engine performance etc.

^^^^^ THAT IS BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A new Ferrari F355 replica………….said to be the closest thing ever to a genuine Maranello product has been launched by a company called Evolution Sportscars. The car is based on a Toyota MR2 and the bodykit comes in 38 separate mouldings thus enabling easy replacement and repair if the car is damaged. The kit costs £3995 and more details can be obtained by calling Robert Lewis on 01625 266 509 or 07786 032 191. Meanwhile a new website at www.evolutionsportscars.com will soon be online and we’ll have a feature for you in TRIED & TESTED very soon

Personally I don't think PD would put an MR2 with a ferarri bodykit in the game, too risky if the so called and supposed negotiations with ferrari fail.

My guess is the ferarri is being tested and run and recorded the same as the other cars, only if they don't get the deal they won't put them in.

Basically I think PD are trying to save themselves hassle if ferarri agree somewhere down the line and they have to rush to get the ferraris into the game; It's not a crime to take photos and recordings of a car, only to put them in your game without permission.

Also I first so the bodykit in a Max Power advert so that's why I posted it, then when you said its BS I did a search on google and got those results, try doing a search for MR2 F355 conversion.
i wans't saying that the body kit doesn't exist, i was saying that that is a ferrari, wether you think so or not

That's probably true, but a similar case was in the Getaway where there were those replica Mercedes A-class vehicles, even though Mercedes didn't want there cars in the game, but because it was made by a different manufacturer (in real life) they couldn't do anything.

Although I think what you said about performace is true, but I don't think the F355 will be in GT4, but if it is, it would probably be a kitted out MR2.

That'll be Brabus then? :D They had a Brabus S-class in "The Getaway" too...

I pointed out, somewhere else (I forget where), that if you're going to put in Ruf (in place of Porsche), why not Brabus, Konig, Hartge, Alpina - and so on - in place of other Porsches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis and the M Beamers...

Sounds good to me... :D

me 2, but thats why lamborghini was out of gt3. They got the license for the NOMAD diablo, but then lamborghini argued that it looked too similar or something. Hence its not in the game ;)

But that's where the German companies get their edge.

The German companies are full companies - not tuners - and own the rights to the body shape. Nomad was just a racing team and didn't.

:D And accepting votes now :D

Have a squizz at supercars.net and see just how many "tuner" (meaning used to be a... but is now a...) versions of Porsches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis and so on there really are...

The thing is that RUF is a separate manufacturers, whereas Brabus, Koenig, Hartge and Alpina are modifiers, there is a difference... RUF buys the blank, white painted bodies from Porsche, without VIN numbers, and builds their own cars, they are not built by Porsche. All the other ones you mentioned are made by the original manufacturers (Mercedes, BMW, Ferrari, etc...) and modified. There are Porsches that get modified to RUF standards and wear RUF badges but aren't real RUFs, however, in Germany if you buy a RUF you cannot register and insure it as aPorsche, you must register and insure it as a RUF. Brabus, Koenig, Hartge and Alpina cars all get registered and insured in their original manufacturers names. That's why RUFs are in GT but Porsches aren't... RUF has been a seperate manufacturer since 1981.

Follow this link and go to ABOUT US, then HISTORY to learn about RUF: RUF Automobile Germany

There was a poster when I was little that I dreamt about. I wished to have these three cars in the garage.
