If you had the money which Gran Turismo Original track would you build in life?

Grand Valley Speedway - It has got everything a racetrack needs. Hairpins, straights, fast corners. I love the track. Great fun.

Someone's got to say it: Autumn ring 👍

There is 4 great chicanes which includes a fast bus stop (with high curbs :D ) words cannot how fun tearing through the bus stop on the limit, taking as much of the rumble strip as you dare. Not to mention, the upward off camber 270 degrees corner

Trial Mountain. I've put so much time into that track and have always enjoyed sorting the turns out on it. Combined with the scenery and the elevation changes, just great fun.

The close second is Deep Forest, for much the same reasons.

Why do threads that have a rightful home in a forum category keep appearing in the rumble strip? We've had countless top gear ones and car choice threads.

I think this one is a little bit different Alex, only because of the time span of some tracks going through all the GT series so you can't really pigeonhole it into one GT specific forum. :dopey:

Trial Mountain, although Grand Valley, Special Stage R11, Autumn Ring and Deep Forest sound great as well...

I really can't wait for all those courses to reappear in GT5, I simply can't stand all those same looking real life race tracks - Nurburgring, Suzuka, ok, a few of them are ok, but I want all those original Gran Turismo tracks back.

I do see where you are coming from to be honest, but I'm not sure if I'm the only one who thinks what I think.👍

Hmm... Either Autumn Ring or Deep Forest. Although I just googled Complex String and my god! I'm gonna have to go play GT3 and give that a go... Can't believe I never went on it before.

Hard choice...

Grand Valley, Apricot Hill or Complex String (havn't drivin that track since GT4 came out)

I think I'll pick a more humble choice than the rest of you, and say that if I could build one track, it'd be Driving Park Motorland:

I enjoy driving this track in the game - it's quick enough for moderately quick cars - only really the top race cars feel too strangled by the circuit length. It's got interesting elevations and descents, some nice long corners, a couple of tight corners, and a chicane over a crest to make things interesting. In slower cars you can be nice and smooth, and quicker cars would take well to a little more agression, bouncing of kerbs and the like. Plus, it'd be good for drifting.

In my ideal world, I'd put a large house in that space just south of the chicane in the pic, overlooking the circuit, which would have a large, air-conditioned garage for storing my car collection!

One can but dream...

For me, Grand Valley is by far the most compelling of the GT tracks. I miss it in Prologue

I'd build Grand Valley just to find out what happens to that giant river/fjord/bay thing you go over on the bridge, since it doesn't appear in any form on the other side of the track.

 You're right, it just disappears!
I'd build Trial Mountain, I love every bit of it.

Me would by Montegi, suzuka, nurburgring and tsukuba :) and probably abouit a hundred cars to test 👍

I think those circuits have already been built. :sly:

LOOOL i thought it was "would you bye" Me and my english... at least its funny some times :dopey:

Red Rock Valley

So smooth 👍

Grindelwald, my favorite track from GT2

If I had the money, I would let PD design me a new track and add it to GT5 :)

For original tracks from previous games, it has to be El Capitan, including Cathedral Rocks trial I and II

Hmmmm SS11... R246.... Grand Valley.... Red Rock definitely... the Driving Park can be built bigger and you guys are going to be stunned... Autumn Ring Mini first then I'll build the rest of the Autumn Ring... rally... Tahiti R3....:sly: Randy

I think of all the "origional" tracks, Midfield gets the nod as one I'd like to play with. But truth be told, I've been a bigger fan of the imaginary city courses, particularly Opera Paris and Tokyo R246.

I would have to go with
- Driving Park Motorland
- Red Rock
-Grand Valley
-Autum Ring
Left over $$$ would get me a an elise 111R, Autobacs MR-S among others to go with this tracks :D

Too hard to choose, but one of my current favourites is Midfield for a power lap.

If I had to pick one it would probably be Midfield Reverse, but optimally I'd like all of the following:

Midfield Reverse
Trial Mountain Normal
Driving Park Motorland

And maybe Deep Forest and/or Grand Valley Speedway.

:-)

I'd actally like a tarmac version of the Tahiti rally. I just love the feel of that place.

The track I'd personally build: Complex String. Got GT3 for Christmas, when I did my first ever lap of the thing I was like OH MY GOD THIS IS FULL OF WIN.

Wouldn't produce particulary good racing though, with the squares, opening sweepers and the fast chicanes. There's probably only four or five places on the track where you could possibly overtake :(

The track I'd build to see great racing: Grand Valley. It's got everything. Fast sweepers, slow chicanes, straights, and then there's those tunnels. :D

Deep Forest, Trial Mountain and Apricot Hill run it very close though. Deep Forest especially.

One by one I'm building my C-String army. *evil laugh*

And you're right - it would be terrible for racing, but that's not the point!

I'm right with you, DustDriver! El Capitan is the track that I love the most. It's just plain cool when you look at that huge mountain.
The best part of it is that, the mountain is already there!
