pretty simple question, curious how many on here still play GT5 enough to warrant buying another copy, with GT6 in development and DLC coming slow but steady...

It took PD 5 years to develop GT5. It has been out for 1 year so it will atleast take 3 more years for them to release the game. So if you still want to play gt buy it else not.

I would for sure! I play and enjoy the game plenty to buy again if needed. Besides I don't want to hold my breath on GT6 coming out anytime in the near future LOL.

I would buy a new copy the same day
GT5 is the only game I still play nearly every day even after a year of ownership.

Of course. If any game that I enjoyed got lost, I would replace it immediately.

Yes, no doubt indeed. I may even purchase the Spec 2 edition. Don't like the cover but with terrible Internet speeds then I may be partial to it.

I would replace it in a heartbeat. I've played GT5 10 times more than any other game I've bought, and I'm still not bored. I don't even race online yet, I just enjoy trying and tweaking cars and becoming a better driver. I started out using automatic transmission and all aids on with maxed out cars on racing softs...Now I play manual transmission without any aids except for ABS 1 and match the PP and tires of the AI. The only constant has been my enjoyment of the game, and as I improve there are an infinite number of new ways to challenge myself.

Yes I would, seeing as its one of only two games I play at the moment..

I've already gotten a second GT5 just for a just in case security measure . If my first one goes I'll use my spare, if that goes... well I'll already have another spare by then :).

Do you also have an emergency generator?

As i can see you live in England it will not be possible for you to buy the spec 2.0 edition. It will only be released in Japan and maybe a few other asian countries. Sadly...

I wish I did  but then again I like it when all power is out. The second copy I got for $30 when my brother in-law broke his PS3.

My GT5 Disc wasn't even 'Damaged/Lost/Stolen' and I got a new disc. Don't ask why, just a stupid mistake. Now I have to get rid of it. :banghead:

I thought I would have to get another copy of the game last week. My two-year old found the eject button on the PS3 and took out GT5 and put in a Thomas The Tank Engine video while I wasn't home. (My wife/his mother was there and helped him with the DVD.) I looked all around the house and even went through the trash before I took it out. It took me 3 days to find GT5.

Yes, I would buy again. Probably would splurge on the Signature Edition for the extra goodies this time around too.

Thomas? I grew up with Ringo and George Carlin. Still have my prized collection of original ERTL diecast toys, too. Good to see he's still around 👍

What? 5 whole people said no? 5! Crickey, that's extreme :P

Unquestionably, I paid 50-60 bucks for it brand new on eBay in march/aprilish, and nowadays its platnium, and especially with the next few months of discounts coming too, it couldn't be too expensive. I still plan on driving a heap more GT5, and with seasonal events AND DLC the game just keeps growing!

Lost mine in the post when I forgot it at a friends place, thought I could wait for the post office claim system to come through...

Thought wrong, re-purchased the next day.

Lost 8 games in total cause my stupid mate didn't use a signature required courier pack. This was the only game I replaced. Will replace as necessary until GT6.

In all honesty I'd probably just wait for GT6 now ... unless they rolled out some really awesome DLC, like all of the old tracks that are currently MIA
