And here I thought the British were well versed in sarcasm. All in good fun mate.

Of course I have bills. It’s not like I’m a cat or something.
Not like you are actually fast either?

You know how sarcasm works, people have to understand the context the moron that delivers it isn’t that important for sarcasm to work? Watch some Jimmy Carr ;) top tip.

Much better ! In safe gold now, and optimal in the 2:06s

Best lap have not one best sector 😅

Following @Pesselles' ghost but still doing a lot of mistakes. At least I saw that I can be more aggressive on some turns.

Sorry @Gomario JSP but I can't believe to be in front of you

Good job! 👌💪🙏

Times up at Laguna Seca!

This would have been a monster had I not missed my breaking point up to the Corkscrew, pooped myself and money shifted into god knows what gear but the rest of the lap was bang tidy

Now let’s never speak of this trial again…

Welp, made it into gold another 200km last night.

I continued going for another 200km which, with hindsight, was completely pointless as I never went faster than a 6.3XX after getting the 6.072.

This car is just exhausting to drive and I think it fried my brain to the point where I could no longer improve. Doing 200km and not getting even close to my best time caused quite a crash out. That's the closest my controller has been to getting launched out the window since GT7 came out.
You put your thoughts (which I share completely) to text just a little while before I do, it’s quite a funny phenomenon actually. We seem to attempt the TT’s at similar times/days, struggle and get annoyed in the same way (and be on controller ;-)).
Seems like we both prefer to wait until the end of the trial to do our laps and posts. On opposite sides of the globe and somehow sharing the same GT7 struggles, although you generally seem to do things a couple of tenths faster than me
I’ve shared those two 05 laps on my profile (tags #gtp #schlafhund #naxeht), hopefully a controller ghost could maybe be of assistance? I wish the very best of luck to you, really hope you can make it, man!
Thanks for sharing these, I was reviewing the replays prior to my laps. Wasn't able to load your ghost unfortunately, wasn't showing the replay next to your name on the leaderboard and I couldn't find an option to download the ghost anywhere. Typical Polyphony I guess.

Also thanks for the motivation! I know I can generally get within a tenth or 2 of your times, so knowing you had a sub 06 gave me the motivation to try and get close to that.

Although the lap itself was fast, I feel there's plenty of time on the table. I've definitely gone faster through S1, and I could've hit the apex for the turn 4 right hander a bit better. T5 & 6 were actually quite good which is probably where I made up a significant amount of time. Corkscrew was not too bad although I think the landing and exit could've been very slightly better. But then I completely missed the apexes of both Rainey curve and the penultimate corner, so I think there's probably quite a bit of time left on the table in those 2 corners.

Ultimately it didn't matter since I wasn't improving at all after this lap anyway, if anything I was getting slower.

All that is left is to wait and see if any aliens come in at the final hour to shift the gold time down. As I was setting my laps last night, the aliens actively were improving their times at the top, so the gold time has shifted since yesterday in case anyone didn't notice and was on the edge of gold.

Posted an improvement with the Honda NSX Concept, with a 1:40.401. Got a bit more confidence in sector 1, and ended sector 2 with a 53.6xx. Video link below. More time is hard for me to find here, this might be my limit.

Really nice lap bro. Now I know what I’m doing this weekend, finding the 0.160 seconds to my rival 😈

What are folks here using for Brake Balance on the NSX at LM?

I noticed Tidgney is using +5. I am on -2 because turn 2 and the turn uphill are giving me some oversteer grief. I don't need anymore rotation there lol
In my opinion +5 BB is an alien thing. They all use it for the extra rotation in all but the most extreme cases. For a mere mortal like me the added instability under breaking is making things too difficult though.

For me it's the same reason why I often use TC in higher powered cars. I sacrifice some speed but don't needlessly throw away good laps all the time.

Wait...whuutt|??.... we can adjust the balance with the NSX?....., 😂 😂
I had a good first session with it the other day thinking..... it would have been nice to be able to change it 😂
But prob kind of murpfy's law and prob is going to work against me then 😂😂

I achieved my personal best using default brake balance. I agree with @newmedia_dev , if you hit a limit in your progress change it up and you might discover your style is better suited to one setting or another.

Thanks all of you for the Brake Balance comments. I generally just find what works for me but I was so far in the other direction from what Tidgney had that I was puzzled. I am trying to keep the car stable through some tricky turns and the aliens are maxing out rotation... Damn aliens. lol

Was stuck on a 1.07.8 at Laguna for ages.

Had a final 145km stint this morning, out of nowhere managed a jump straight to 1.06.9 (literally no laps between that and a 1.07.8, strange), enough for silver and nowhere near gold so no temptation to drive that car ever again.

Jumped from 15,000 to 5,000 in the rankings though, much less of an impact on my average result than feared!

You can tell I hate a car when I don't even bother changing a livery on it 😂

Gave it one last go and did not manage to improve over the missing 2/10 of a second.

2000hp is just too much. Who needs or even wants this? What a stupid waste of time and resources.

This whole TT was entirely removed from fun for me and just ended in frustration. The car feels so weirdly unpredictable, like each wheel is pulling in a different direction.

Did 3 stints, each 30 - 60 minutes long and even after 2,5 hours, I still overshot braking points and missed most apexes. If I hit the apex the way I need to, to get that last 2/10, 99% I hit a sausage...

I might go for a jog now. Or maybe punch a wall.

Kudos to the ones who stayed clear of this mess of a TT. Wurst. Car. Ever.

Mate to avoid the frustration You went through, I didn't even run 1 lap of this TT. Love Laguna Seca but with the right car. A VGT just feels too artificial where You just can't embrace it with joy.

The 2 new ones are quite fun, dialling back in to T1 at Suzuka is always an experience. The racing softs mess with your head a little. Just did a couple of laps in the Aston (Vantage) and I think it’s fractionally faster than the M6 in a straight line.

The 962 is fun as well if not a little “direct” as to be expected in that era of GR1 car

Well.... i don't know how.... but i managed to hold on the the medal in the end on Seca,
That was by far the hardest challenge for me unti now, i had some struggles in my TT carreer in the beginning and i started of not serious at all until after a few once i got the hang of it and now it's all i only do in GT7...
So i got better over the years...., but i had a lot of trouble with this one 😂 ..... case closed... move on 😁

Suzuka i'm not realy looking forward to GR3 wise, a bit of a soul-less thing to choose, great technical track but come on, not a very surprising combo.

The Monza one...., yeah, not realy looking forward to that either, i think it should be straight forward ( alot more straight without the chicane 😂 )

So i think i am going to gold these two and take a week off, the Seca frustration level has rised to high, maby these new once surprise me in a good way, but upfront.... naah..

Tell us you're German without saying you're German 😂🤣 you're obsessed 😜
Wurst is more of a derogatory term where I'm from ;)

💩 not 🌭

Also "wurst" can mean "irrelevant" 🤷‍♂️

Back to topic. Semi hyped for the 962C @ Monza. Really like the track and car.
