Well since you are in this thread for a long time, you know that the variety of cars is not that big and that the track variety is limited. Apart from that, it is the best Shutokou Battle so far, with much improved car handling, nice although not in every way brilliant graphics, and a nice online mode. If you like the series, you'll like this one, if you love the series, you'll love this one. That's how I see it. See you on the C1 in October then :).... Beware, my Skyline is hungry for wins :D
 
lol i cant wait for this game, But i think i'll get TDU first.My 360 is away getting chipped so i don'y need a ntsc ntsc/j console anymore :D

The NA version is different from the Japanese one. There's add up. I wonder if it will be in the same server...

I advise you not to chip your console. One little update my Microsoft on XBL and you won't be able to play online anymore. I have a lot of chipped consoles, but that is over now. Believe me, you will not be happy with it, I also thought about it and ... it's just not worth the risks, they can delete your account etc...it is so easy for MS to detect, if chip inside the console or a firmware update of the DVD drive or whatever.

Got for the new japanese core console instead. It will be priced below 250 USD !

I still don't think that it will be different. They say it at certain places, but they don't say it at the Ubisoft webpage.
I saw a preview once and they tried to sell me the "night,midnight,daybreak" feature as new...which it isn't.

I say, it won't be a different game, apart from some improvements in graphics etc ( less pop ups for example ).

Maybe, they add just little things, and if they do, then I think the Japanese version will get a little update over LIVE.

If it should be an entirely new game, with new gamerscore points and online play only with other Import Tuner challenge gamers and not with "us" Shutokou Battle gamers, well then of course I will get the NA version aswell.
But honestly, I don't think so.



OH and I have 1000 gamerscore points in this game now, all 27 achievements. I am ranked in the TOP 40 ( worldwide online battle 1:1 ranking ) and I now consider to start the game again ( you can keep your cars and money ) in order to get more fully tuned cars for the online mode...
 
The chip doesn't turn on until there is a copied or ntsc ntsc/j game installed.I don't go online anyway other than to buy cars, demos etc.

No XBL ? Well, then you miss half the fun... No need to buy TDU for example ;)
Why don't you just wait for Import Tuner Challenge then ?
 
lol i usually get a few mates round and play multiplayer.I don'y have a computer myself so i don't really see the point in paying for gold.I come to my grandparents place for a half hour after school everyday and ocassionally bring around my 360 on the weekends. Thats the only computer time I get:(

Ah I see. Well, if your grandparents don't have DSl, well then ok. But if they have, go and get gold. Gold costs like 50 % a year, which is not even 5 dollars a month, a solid dollar per week. That is nothing compared to the fun you get. Beleive me, it makes games twice as good. I mean, the more I think about it... your grandparents need highspeed internet :D
 
Each 360 have his own serial number. MS can easily detect your chipped console. :sly:

When you use windows media connect(Enternet), there's a number that pop on & this is the number you use to register the XBOX 360.

Yes and even if the chip is so great that MS doesn't detect it at this very moment, they will buy that chip, crack its secrets and after the next XBL Update you have a problem...

Btw, I'm now ranked 32nd in world ranking in Shutkou Battle and I also started the game again in order to get a few more fully tuned cars for the online mode...
Well, I don't know which cars though... I mean I knew which ones I'd liek to have, but they aren't really competetive... The GT-R R34 is on top... of course very good drivers and people who worked a lot on the setup of their cars can also win with a Supra, STi and Evo, also depending on the track... the Datsun is strong aswell, very strong, maybe even better than the R34 in several aspects...

;) Nah, the position in ranking doesn't say too much by itsself. If you want to advance in that list you need patience, not that much talent. So what I want to say is, that there are people in the Top 10 ranking, whom I can beat every time I meet them, then there are drivers, who are way behind my rank, but beat me with perfect driving and perfect setups of their cars. And then there are those who don't drive 1:1 battle at all, but drive insanly fast times in the online time attack...
So, I am very good, but by no means I'm the 30th fast Shutokou Battle X gamer in the world, not at all...

Well, the problem is not that MS knows it, but that those who have that chip might be forced to play offline someday and maybe even lose their profile with all achievements etc... And therefor I wouldn't recommend getting one.

I heard different dates, maybe it depends on the region. It varies from end of September ( USA) to mid October ( EU ), we'll see what's true in the end...

Yeah, the interior view is nice indeed and the fact that you don't see a wheel, is actually sth very good, since it isn't weird at all when playing ( in videos it looks a little odd I know ) and you have a free view without hands moving around etc...
And thanks for using German, but I think we should stay with English, so that everybody understands :)
 
Looks like Impot Tuner Challenge is availible in North America now and in Europe by the end of next week.

It would be nice if those of you who own the game could tell us if there is any difference from the Japanese version and if online play is possible... although I just realized that I could answer that question by myself, i'll play a little online tonight....

I ordered the game yesterday, so when I get it and play it some, I'll give you my thoughts. :)

I'm a huge fan of NSX & class C car between 200 to 100HP. Import Tuner Challenge ain't for me.

Yeah, cause I hate driving Skyline, Supra, Impreza & Evo. If you check all my videos, I prolly drive the 180SX, S14 or S13 & the Altezza.

Your decision, although I understand you. I really don't like Super cars like Ferrari or Lambos.. that's why PGR3 is collecting dust...
 
Oh well I just had alook at the online ranking and there are no new US people in there, that could mean that Shutokou Battle 10 and Import Tuner challenge are not compatible... Kind of sucks I guess, although I could also buy Import Tuner challenge and start from new... :D We'll see
 
Nice ! Hmm Drift God could you go to the network mode, ranked match and then ranking ? Are there any Japanese players or just American players ?
