this is a thread for serious people solving the problem at hand, eliminating the srf problem, this is not a joke, and ive already put my 2 cents in, lets hear more suggestions.
 
The people that feel the need to validate themselves through such means will always be out there and they will find ways to exploit things in their favor regardless. I say just keep it on the track. No bs no gimmicks (minus all the issues or dragging online) just straight up racing. The frauds get exposed at indy quick.👍

well so am i slash, i came up with the dual method but that was shot down and laughed at, so im not sure anymore. i do think the respect thing is funny, being that i only have it for about 6 people right now, maybe 7.

yep its only 7. i have actual respect for only 7 people at this point, im nearly finished.

To a point they get exposed, Im not a fraud but Im much slower at Indy because of my reaction time..
 
if this is making the pros leave gt5 than whats to become of the community? imagine a world full of guess launchers and scammers!!! i surely dont want to! what the pros need to do is stick to drag racing like it was before all this speed test junk. think if all the pros are leaving than whos left?....the newbs, a whole community of them
 
We've been dealing with this for over a year, almost 2. Quite frankly we're all sick of it and had enough.

the lying, the cheating, the noobs crap talking with others tunes, im sick of it. look at this thread, no ones even tempted to try and fix the issue, they must not care. like ive said i tried and got shot down and laughed at, so i guess im dumb.
 
why dont we all just forget this speedtest stuff?....all its doing is causing problems. host YOUR OWN LOBBY and TURN AIDS OFF i think that will solve all of this.. take it to the track!

but the second some one joins they say, oh my acr runs 8.7!!! or, whats your time, i run 8.989. when i win and have a slower time, im either a hacker or im slow but i have a good connection / RT.

the lying and the cheating has always been around and it always will be. theres no way to get rid of that face it PEOPLE ARE DISHONEST and noobs will always trash talk,its part of what makes them noobs. what the best thing to do is weed it out by almost forming your own little community of people you know dont use aids or whatnot. get together with a bunch of friends and make a lobby it will solve most of this.

thats all fine and dandy but i made this thread looking for a fix to the leaderboards. running in the same community gets boring, i used to do it, i know, i did it with my old drag team, and the small community is part of the reason i quit it.
 
none of us are gonna be able to fix it on the speedtest...im pretty sure thats gonna have to be the games programers. yes its gonna suck waiting for them to maybe notice it and fix it but if you leave gt5 than your not gonna have a chance to see what you've been waiting for. so cool it people huh? be patient and just stick to the track.

Not much cheating (if any) you can do in a public lobby, but the Test Track people can try and mask truth with BS times etc etc.. That's the real problem.
 
Exactly bobby! We just need to keep drag racing and forget this speedtest even existed. I cant wait to have my ps3 back next week so i can host a no nonsense room and bring back the old essence of gt5 drag or try to atleast.
 
when someone posts a pic of a tune just make it a rule, no wings alowed. simple lol
 
Too bad we can't upload videos of our times and proof. I noticed there are many times added to the leader board without pictures. I don't validate those times neither should they be able to submit without an accurate photo. Though the pictures do not do justice at times. Ii don't use any assists and I tune the cars by myself. GT5 needs to recognize the drag gaming and update us with a true drag track that allows us to use a tree and accurate line-ups.

GME killed it for the reason anyone can make a good ssrx tune for 1/4. And I thank them. To be honest ever since this whole retro thing got out of hand speed test really has been a joke.

No point trying to resurrect it. Plain and simple. 3k is better 👍

My 2 cents!! This is a game right?? Who cares.... If you all are bickering about a game, i cant imagine what how some of you are in real life......
 
I don't really care. It's all about preference. I would prefer that everyone used no aids, but it won't happen. Just race with the people who don't use aids. Or better yet, just make your own rooms and make aids unavailable.
 
It's a shame that the only way GME could make the leaderboard was through SRF and :censored:ing everything up for everyone else. And Viperbeatsvette, I thought you quit 3 or 4 times now. And I'm sure no one will miss you on the 1/4 mile. Don't come back because you've made it clear that you hate it now, meaning, any return will brand you as a liar, and when that happens, what else have you been lying about? We don't need any 'macho 3k boys' telling us how we should run our races. If you want to get rid of wings on 1/4, why not 3k, or are you exempt from this ruling?
 
Im all for getting rid of wings on 3k races to as people have wheelie tuned everything pretty much. Which is pretty stupid if you ask me.Wheres all the hostility towards gme from...I have raced with them all the time in the past and they are fast. They are good friends of mine too besides that..Who told you how to run your races? Im pretty sure that people are trying to get rid of the cheating on the speed test. no? Not trying to "run your races" just the leaderboard. Also if i see any wheelie tunes in any of my rooms you get the golden boot.
