Does anyone know if there will be a proper in-car view in GT4? It'd be cool if it actually looked as though you were sitting in the car rather than lying on the bonnet.
We probably wont see detailed interiors in GT4, since if PD is including 500+ cars in exquisite detail, the game disc is going to be very crowded. And knowing PD's perfectionist attitude towards developing games, they would need to get the interiors PERFECT. And a detailed interior of 500+ cars would take up an insane amount of space. Something like that might be possible for a PC game since everything installs to an HD, but not for a PS2 game since everything is read off a DVD, which although has a large capacity, it can only hold so much info..Originally posted by ZZII
PSM vaguely "confirmed" a view where you can see the hood but that is still not an in-car view. I remember games for PS1 with in-car views. Why can't we get one in GT4?

what was that all about in the SEMA car show buick thread with the in-car view talking about how it even had fire extinguishers visable? - or was that just a model of the car?

It would be nice if they at least replicated the actual speedometer and tachometer (assuming the car has one), similar to what has been done in some of the Need for Speed games. That couldn't take up too much space I would think, even taking into consideration the number of cars.

I would much prefer a bonnet cam than an incar cam, in Toca I never used the incar views, and especially when I'm using a wheel and you see another wheel on the screen. Alo a bonnet cam would just be adding another camera view, no extra rendering or anthing that would slow the game or the loading times down.

We know that the convertibles have at least decently modeled interiors... I cite the video of the 350Z cabrio with its top down. The driver shifts gears... it's awesome.
