what do you think is the best car for indy 500?
fast car like X2010?
or the competition type car with 700-900 HP car that will be more fun but more difficult to win with?

I did it with the 787B. It was my first enduro so I had problems with pit strategy, but I did won 1-2 laps ahead of 2nd place.

Use a car that will be interesting and competitive. The X2010 and X2011 still take 3 hours of driving in a circle to win. Also, the X2010 works its tires way too hard and is astronomically thirsty, tires last about 10-15 laps and I found myself getting about 1 mpg of gas mileage. My reccomendation is a car like your opponents are using, something like a C60 Hybride will be competitive while still allowing an easy win.

You have to pit every 28 laps or so in the X2010 and it can be completed in just over 2 hours.

Mazda furai! It isn't quite as fast as the competition, but it out turns them and it doesn't have to pit as often... 1 pit for every 2.5... The race will be close and you will be on the edge of your seat!!! I won by under a lap in bspec

fun at indy500? haha thats good :D sorry but to drive in a oval is absolute boring, btw the x2010 is best car for the event because they count laps not time, if you got a race 4hr or 9hr it doesnt matter, but if you drive a LMP @ indy 500 you will need more than 2 hrs

Thing your out there at 3 hours, it takes me 2.5 hours in a toyota minolta and around 2 hours in X2010.

And if your good you get 30 laps before fueling the X2010, just ease of the throttle to 270 mph for a few laps.

If you suck at the game, then you want to use the Red Bull car(s).
If you are decent or better, you'll use a car similiar to your opponents.

It's too bad PD didn't realise the protential of the event. They should have restricted it to Nascars. Would have been much better.

It has nothing to do with being good or bad driver. It's the boredom you are exposed to in this race :yuck:

i have just completed the indy 500.
with the-X2010.
it took 2 hours and 4 and a half minutes XD
im proud of my self it was my first endurance race too..
by fun i meant somthing that wont get boring so quickly as the X2010.
i think i will do it again next year or somthing XD
with a different car.

with a Lmp its still boring, its drinving in an oval with high downforce, man :D

Any other Endurance you should match up to the AI cars or a little less but for Indy I agree with using the X2010. Just get it out of the way and collect your prize, too boring IMO.

I would have much rathered a Brickyard 400 like that, instead of an "Indy 500" with LMPs. Or PD could have fielded the whole thing with Formula GTs if they wanted to call it the Indy 500...

Or.... All of the f1 cars including FGT, on the road course

I done it yesterday with the x2011 and took 2hrs 10 mins with pitstops every 25 laps, the fuel goes before tyres so tyres don't matter

i refueled every 22 laps.
tyres are the least of your worries in indy 500
all the time i kept thinking about the bad things that can happen like power break or somthings like that
