No but I can turn up to races! :sly:

I've added to Tokyo race video into the OP btw.

I was just working out why I've not been at any championship races and it basically goes like this...

First race: CBA... Still GT5 burnt out back then.
Second Race: Working
Third Race: Went out plus CL final
Fourth Race: Went out
Fifth Race: Le Mans

So I'll show up on Saturday if you don't hold a practice session in the week see how my connection holds up. Then if it's still crap try and get it sorted (new router) for the week after.

You best be there! :(

Oh ic. Would you consider going the rest of the season with it off? You're all fast drivers and it'd be fun if you lost concentration and missed your braking point sometimes :) gives everyone a chance to catch up if possible. Just trying to find a way to keep up with ya heh

Challenge accepted! From the race after Nurburgring onwards, I'll do my best not to use the racing line. You can even check by hovering over people's names in the lobby rooms.

I'm not gonna turn on the newbie line no matter what, I rather loose then destroy the pleasure of the game with a light blue line showing me the way.

Alrighty then, I am not gonna use it either! :trouble: 👍

Does that line honestly help?

Never used it. Never will. Just curious if really does improve lap times. Or more so as mentioned a line to keep the ADHD group on track?

I recall talk about people driving through each other cause they line watch and not watch the race.

I don't know. Why I ask.

I already said that I find it very difficult to see the brake boards in GT5.

I used to use the racing line but turned it off now, Only used it for the braking points but has become second nature to me now :)

I don't think it improves lap times, but it does help your lap times to be more consistant as you're less likely to misjudge the braking points with it on.

The only time I use the racing line myself is when I need to learn a track, once I've learnt the track then it gets switched off.;)

very true

I am not sure about that, for me, when i don't know the track and i use the drivingline, i definitely drive better. But then i am focussed on the Line instead on the circuit. So when the line is OFF, i still don't know the circuit. I have to memorize the track on my own, how and when i have to brake. For me its like a GPS. When i go to a place whit my car and use a navigation sytem, i certainly don't remember the route when i go there for the second time. But when i go there whitout any navigation system, it probably will take a longer amount of time to get there, but the second time i will know the route, and it would go faster.

When does qualy start 8.30?

When does qualy start 8.30?

Qualy starts at 9pm UK time, ends at 9:30pm and the race usually starts around 9:35pm. Sometimes we'll go ~15 minutes longer so that we can wait for a few people if they've requested it. We've had to wait for Joey & Phil before, for example.

I already said that I find it very difficult to see the brake boards in GT5.

That's very strange, I have the exact opposite.

F1 is too blurry with the QAA (Same for all codies games) vaseline screen and 720p

GT5 is much clearer!

Do you really need those boards. you can have other things to find your braking point . like bridges, trees, paints, boards(sponsors), walls, changes in surface, lines, instinct, experience, flags,

Yes, I know how to use braking points. Don't assume that I use the braking line for every corner, I only have it on for the select few corners that I can't do otherwise.

We'll be starting the race 15minutes later again tonight, to wait for Joey.

I'm hopping on GT5 now for some practice :)

Is the track, via Nurburgring 24hr, going to be the full Weather & Time Change or no?

Oh, sorry. I'll add you two now.

Terrible race for me. Made about 5 major mistakes, just stupid oversteers...

Setup was great but the concentration was not there and i was really tired.

Bring on Monaco.

Can anyone upload the reply, I just could not save it in the end there. would be much appreciated.

My worst race yet, I don't think I've ever span out so many times in a race :(.

This is the worst race ever, i am used to be last. But this race was't fun.

I had a decent grid order but what happent at the start i don't know. At the restart the grid order was wrong somehow. and my concentration was gone.
Everybody was driving on the grass/sand, so i thought the race was't going on. i was thinking to retire from the race. At night i could't find my pace. After the pitstop on lap 3 my race finally began. I was slowly recover from this weird start, made some mistakes. but so was Gtamann and YingYang,... . YingYang retire and GTamann pitted. so i moved into 10th place. But then i felt a hard pain in my right wrist. It sometimes happens when ik play long whit the wheel. i think its becaus of the FFB. Again i was thinking to retire, but kept on going. I thought to make 3 pitstops but then i decided to change strategy. to keep infront of gtamann, but my wrist kept me on a slow pace. i totally lost it. and after my second pitstop i was doing everything to get Gtamann but then my contact lensses started to get blury. made alot of mistakes becaus of it and again i was thinking about to retire. Some how strange on the last lap Gtamann pitted, which gave me some new hope at the last lap. I closed the gap of 15 seconds or something on 4-lap-old tyres. but when i reached Gtamann my tyres were gone and i did a crash. the End.
There was no fun today. I hope i can have some fun next week. i am only proud i completed this races...nothing else matters. I hope my wrist gets better before the race next week...:scared:

Great race for me overall.

I thoroughly enjoy racing Nurburgring, because there's always time to make up on people, never give up, never surrender.

My original start went horribly after crashing into Roy's stationary car on the grid. But after the restart I knew I couldn't take any chances going into the first 6 corners, it was vital that I got ahead of the pack. I was surprised to be in 2nd after the 2nd corner, but at least that meant Phil wasn't on my back.

Roy just flew off into the distance, so I just had to keep trying to pull away from GP & Phil, I made a couple of small mistakes here and there, probably around 3 or 4 that cost me probably 10 seconds in total maybe.

Decided to go 3-3-2 in terms of laps per stint, once I saw GP going for a one-stopper I figured I'd be racing for 3rd place with Phil, but I managed to come out in-front of Phil on my last pitstop. I had to both pull away from Phil and try to push hard enough to catch GP. Unfortunately for GP, he span (which I didn't even notice until I saw his name as I approached the corner) which allowed me to take 2nd place for the race.

The amount of concentration that race required was immense to say the least. I'm actually quite surprised to have only finished 1:40.xxx behind Roy.

Onwards to Monaco now, gotta win there again.

EDIT:

It was a real shame Netherdragon wasn't there tonight, but at least GT showed up! :sly: Hopefully GT will make the rest of the season as well :p

I'll try and upload it for tomorrow :)
