Higher value = Stiff
Lower value = soft

I don't know how people are spinning the GTR on the karussell, I've never yet managed that but I do quite often easily spin the NSX on there though.

When can we expect the race video? :sly:

Do you have a base tune that you put on every car though? Otherwise you just get spun round.

Not really, with the GTR I always use the default setup on the ring as I find it to be pretty much spot on already for the track. ;) I'm not sure if the default setup is different for each GTR though.

Race 6 Nürburgring 24h Video:

I do my best race of the season and I get 20 seconds "air" time. I'm sorry, but you don't get a "like" from me this time :|

I'm getting 1:30.xxx and I know Kyaw got a 1:29.xxx.

I have a question to ask everyone. Could you empty your system cache before the next race. At least the guy hosting the thing. I just did it and my GT5 is flying compared to before I did it so it's a favor to yourself too.

It took 15 minutes here so if it takes a long time it's not because it got stuck. It just takes some time :)

I think I last emptied my cache after I DC'ed from the Le Sarthe race, but I'll try and remember to do it again before this weekend.

EDIT: Trying to find a good setup for Monaco is balls.

Was I lagging much on Saturday? ZZXXZ was the only one I noticed myself.

Well it took just about a 5 minutes of black screen to start the game, and I actually drove over green areas just after the first hairpin. So I was hoping it would help :)

I didn't see anyone lagging myself.

You wasn't lagging on my screen. :)

Good. But I haven't changed anything since I had all those problems which makes it all a bit mysterious...

Respect to the new guy gtamann123 running on racing hard while every one else is running on soft.

Put on soft and try again gtamann123 :)

1:30.4 can do better though. just need some tuning, but not to much.

how do you do it?

My best time is 1.29.7xx.
I know i can do better, the setup is good on the tyres but not so good for the corners.

If you did get a 1:29 then your setup must be good in corners as it's getting round corners fast than gains you time with Monaco being a track with only very short straights and lots of turns. ;)

With a bit more practice I should be able to get in the 1:29's myself.

I can just see roy or gp getting a 1:28 this weekend though.

Well, not as fast as i want it anyway.
I need to mess with the LSD settings more. Feels slow on the exits but then too fast and you spin.

1:28:5 after half an hour practice, full tank.
I'll thing we'll have to go in the 1:27's...to have the pole

I thing the nsx should be faster on Monaco. Short accurate shifting is the key i think. Put the car quiet high, stabilisators on 2 for maximum grip. I have to mess with the lsd, for the moment it's basic 18-45-22. Knowledge of the track is most important, so training is a must. I'll be online tomorrow, to find the perfect setup for the car.

1:30.314 is my best so far, to bad I can't practice very much this week. It's the final in the GT5 Coca Cola Zero Cup I'm supervising this Saturday. So I have to put some work into it. Winner wins 1250eros so it better be perfect. And on Saturday I'm going to Oslo to supervise it. It's done before our race so I'll be here, but I don't think I be at my best, so if you guys find my car parked near the pit entry, it's because I jumped the fence to get a cold beer with Owen, cheering for the red NSX with a crappy rear spoiler.. Kyaw right!! I think its your turn now :) (would make it close in the top 3)

Gentlemen I'm in the limo on the way to the GP of Monaco!

Hope to stay the week and catch you guys here next Saturday.

True that the NSX should be faster but I wouldn't recommend setting the ride high. Monaco is a track with lots of turns and very short straights so it would be best to set the car very low with stiff suspension to keep it stable. It's the gearing and the LSD that I think would make most difference by finding a setting that gives the best acceleration for the uphill climb after turn 1 and corner exit speed.

Putting the ride high though would increase top speed but it also wears the tyres faster which isn't what you want on a track like Monaco as at first you may have a lot of grip but that grip would then drop too quick due to the high ride height so keeping it low and stable will work out better in the long run. ;):)
