My race was actually pretty boring, I was behind top 4 and in front of the rest. So my race looked pretty much like a timetrial. But I did my best to avoid letting the guys behind me catch up with me. 5th place in this pack was something I would be happy with.

The start was a bit strange, since I stood at 5th pos, but ended up starting as number 4 I think. Some nutcase drove around while we were at standstill waiting for the grid to be correct.

But the start went off and as usual I get out started by the entire grid, well almost anyway. I decided to keep calm in the first corner and that was smart, I saw at least one car going off the track and before I knew it I was back at my starting position 5th place. I decided to try my best to keep that position since the 4 guys in front of me seemed to increase the distance to me, I kept pretty close for some laps, but I got a spin and the distance was to big. My plan was to drive safe, I could have gone faster, but then I also could have gone off the track and loose my position. Result was one mistake, witch lasted for 4 corners or something in the end of my first stint, after that I did no mistakes.

In the end I still was on 5th place driving 10 laps without seeing anyone (just arkano when he passed me when I did that one mistake) But I had my eyes at the track map from time to time because Kyaw seemed very interested to catch up with me. And he was close a couple of times, but he had to pit more than me.

Then in the last lap I found GP staying sideways on the track and could easily pass him, I'm really happy with the 4th place. I feel a bit sorry for GP, but after all going out of tyres is a stupid mistake so I guess he have himself to blame :ouch:

Congratulation to Roy for the first place! 👍

Very hard race, at about lap 7 onwards I was struggling to keep my eyes open and span about 5 times on 1 lap.

I was unsure what pit stops to do, seen Arkano pit at end of third and thought I could put in a fast lap, pit and then be ahead but it didn't work as I was struggling for grip.

3rd is good though!

GP you're crazy! lol

Btw it's hard to say this without sounding bad but I can't belive we are in a championship organised and attended by hard core GT lovers and GTplanet members based on realism with real life rules and regs yet people are using the driving line!!!

It is laughable.

The concentration needed in the dark last night was immense but with a neon blue line and red line you can see in the distance how can that compare in any way, it would be as easy as day light!

Told you it would sound bad, not getting at anyone but it needs to be equal for all, who knows how many times people who use it would/might have made mistakes without and vice versa, the leaderboard would/might look totally different.

Anyway, what about a wet race on one of the tracks, would be interesting!

Sorry to kyaw at the beginning. Braked a little late and bumped him off track. I was having a fairly decent race but started experiencing connection problems. I don't know if I was lagging to other ppl so I just decided to retire and not get in anyones way. Don't wanna lag and knock someone off for no reason. Too bad, I was enjoying that race.

To Phil. I don't think it sounded bad. Not at all

I vote for a rule change. Driving line: OFF

All in favour say aye!

AYE!👍

100 point deduction for driving line!;)

Roy very fast, watching replay he seems to hit slightly higher speeds everywhere!

We wont change it during this season, but if we go ahead with season 2 (which I hope we do!) then we'll turn it off.

I've already said I wont use the line for the rest of the season now, so yeah :p

Come season 2, I think we will put a dynamic weather race in there somewhere for sure.

Roy very fast, watching replay he seems to hit slightly higher speeds everywhere!

I'll check that out, I haven't actually watched the replay yet, so I'll do that in a second.

We'll see what happens during Monaco practice.

Back to the top of the tables :sly:

No pictures of yesterdays race I'm afraid. The only interesting things that were picture worthy were the first 2 laps and a couple of people spinning here and there.

And I gotta say...GP...You practically threw away a solid second place :p

Oh! And shoutouts to Phil & Erik, best races of their respective seasons! Good work 👍

Had a terrible race :)
Saved some tires in the beginning, due to night vision problems.
Followed arkano & phil as my guide :)

When most of them pitted at lap 3 my tires were only 25% used.
I took the risk to do it on a one pitter.

The race itself was pretty boring and long, no fights, just concentration and painful arms.

10 laps should have been no problem. I started lap 11 without any tires, so that was a comfortable lap :)

Congratz to everybody for not quitting the race! It was a mental fight.

As Arkano already told: a shoutout for Eric and Phil, who did a terrific job on the ring!

Next race should be more competition and fun!

My worst race yet, I don't think I've ever span out so many times in a race :(.

On the plus side we had a pretty good battle though.

Also I've still got the same problem on GT5 where if the corner is banked even just slightly like the hairpin at Wehrseifen, Kallenhard as well, Dunlop curve and finally the Karrusell which is plain impossible it seems to take without going round the outside.

What suspension setting gets rid of the car just snapping on banked corners?

In practice i had the same problem. Whit a other setup i could take the banking, in race i also going round the outside line. just te be sure.

Also i don't like te Bergwerk corner. For some reason i always forget this corner. When i exit the ex-muhle corner i am always thinking: now its "fulll speed untill mutkurve" But then i forget the braking point at Bergwerk. Again and again...:scared:

I think you want a more stiff suspension setting, or at least you need to make the rear of the car more grippy.

I was having the same problem, until I remembered that Bergwerk comes instantly after ex-muhle, and then I just broke mega early every time just to be sure. I also went around the two Karussel corners on the outside too, for safety reasons :p

I'm having some initial issues with Monaco..Not having the driving line is fine, I know the track pretty much off my head anyway, but I think I need to find the perfect setup.

Oh! And I forgot to mention that Saturdays race at the 'Ring 24hr was our most populated race of the season! We started off with 12 and had 11 people finish, hopefully everyone and Markeez all turn up this weekend and we can get even more :)

Yes it was great having more people, looks good on replays too.

The 1st start was a mash up and I think it would be better if we lined up on the hill after 1st corner at Monaco because that will get ugly if there is many cars again.

Also need to make people aware of "Blue flag" situations because there will be a lot of lapping I think!

People will just have to be extra careful at the start :sly:

Blue flag = headset :p

Stiffer on both ends? And how stiff do you mean in KG's?

I still don't know which values are stiff or soft.

Is it higher value = stiffer or the other way around for spring rates?

Hi guys id like to join the championship race this weekend, is this allowed? ive got the Xanavi Skyline 08' R35 if that is allowed to race? cheers

Some photos, no comments. Took it just to add something from this race.

Everything from the first lap and not very long into the Nordschleife.

Export the pictures to the XMB from in-game in GT5, then quit GT5 back to the XMB and copy the pictures onto a USB stick.

Show up to this weekends race and I'll add you to the OP & tables :)

Anyone?

Higher value = Stiff
Lower value = soft

I don't know how people are spinning the GTR on the karussell, I've never yet managed that but I do quite often easily spin the NSX on there though.
