Practice not going too badly, got a 1.29.6 when I took the chicane rather optimistically but I also hit the wall on the exit of the penultimate corner so it balances itself out.
I cleared the system cache, I was expecting it to take 15 minutes but it was done before I could turn the controller off

I'm gonna do this cache clearing thing too.

I'll be on GT5 in about 20 mins for practice.

I have good setup. i have a feeling i can do better but i am stuck at 1:30.4XX.

my current setup allows me to drive fast , i can do it about 8-10 laps. my old setup is a second slower, but i can easly drive 15 maybe 20 laps whit the same tyres. a big dilemma in setup choice here.

I did, just had to fix some gear ratio

err. I have no idea Joey, it wasn't me! I still do 1:30.. getting close to 29, but I didn't hit it yet.

Lol I've done like zero practice this week.

Tempted to skip the F1 tomorrow just to practice for like six hours straight.

It was probably Roy who got 1.28.9xx.

I got 1.29.242 today. Just practising short shifting.
I feel pretty good about my setup now. Higher camber definitely helped.
I think i can do about 15 laps on one set of tyres.

There's a PS3 firmware update, just incase anyone didn't know.

I'm heading onto GT5 now.

I didn't get very much practice before the race, so I got some bad times. The quickest I got in my GT-R was a 1:31:6xx.

Hrmmz... This kinda came last minute but I might be missing today's race as well. Seeing as how I'm so low in the points standings, I dint think it will make much of a difference if I race. But I do apologize again for missing this week. Long story short I have to be at my nephews little event gathering. Good luck to everyone.

still i hope you race, same for gtaman, etc... then i maybe have someone to fight whit :)

Yes, where did gtamann123 go? He was in the practice session before the race. To bad he dropped out before the race :(

So what was the result? I'm guessing Arkano won because he always seems to run well round Monaco.

I am dissapointed whit the race becaus i actually had the speed. but yet again i managed to blow it.

Before the qualy started i found a faster setup, i managed to do laps of 1:29.XXX instead of 30's and 31's but the downside was i had some problems whit tyre degradation on my fast setup. I had to make a choice and used the fastest setup.

I did some good qualy laps, and the race started well. But i got blocked by two yellow cars (Phil/Weedy) i was right behind them and i could follow them quite easly, i was even faster but i could't find the gap to overtake. On Lap 7 my tyres began to degrade sooner then expected so Arkano could pass me. i did't defend to hard becaus he was faster and i could't hold the pace anyway. i was driving slower each lap and the next car behind me was zzxz. but i think he used hes brakes to late and just crashed into me after the tunnel, one lap later i could't keep the tyres on track and he past me. Still struggling on the tyres, Ericandre came behind me. Like in Tokyo i made a mistake and he could't avoid me. Lucky he did't crash this time. After Eric also left me behind i did't pit right away becaus i thought it was to soon. but instead of a 44 lap race i noticed it were only 40 laps. big mistake, so i pitted to late. and lost to much time. I was far behind, so i lost intrest and concentration and i decided to bring the car home. trying to avoid other cars, it was hard. I drive whit the roof view, so i don't have a rearmirror(PD really have to update that). I hope i did't block someone.

I don't know on which lap it happent but Ericandre was ready to be lapping me on start/finish, so i decided to move myself from the drive line on the right side of the track. But on that very same moment Joey left the pitlane exit, i could't avoid him. I hope you don't lost to much time Joey, i did't noticed you. apologize!

I actually came third. GP came first, Roy second and me third.

My race was actually pretty decent considering it took me so long to find a good setup that I liked. I qualified fourth, but I shunted Zzxxz into the wall just before the hairpin, so I had to wait for him to pass me again, so I ended up dead last in 10th, but I managed to retake him at the chicane, and moved on to take Erik in the following laps. Infact, Zzxxz actually saved my race on lap 3, coming up to turn two I was in the process of spinning when Zzxxz slammed into the front of my car, pushing me back into the correct direction :sly:

Managed to work my way up to fourth and pitted on lap 12 after realising that if I didn't make a 2-stopper work, then I was out of contention for a podium. I was pretty much racing Zzxxz for third the whole race, thankfully I was able to stay ahead through all 17 laps of my second stint before pitting on lap 28.

Zzxxz & Phil managed to get ahead of me by the smallest of margins in the pits, so I was behind them both for a lap until Zzxxz took Phil, but I got stuck behind and ultimately ploughed into the wall because of the lagg in the room. Although Phil let me past in the end (<3) and I went on to catch Zzxxz before the end of the race and take 3rd.

Really unlucky that Kyaw got disconnected :( But it happens to the best of us ;)

Oh, and I gotta say, I don't know why I didn't-not-use the driving line before, it's so much fun without it! I actually managed to do a 1:28.7xx and a 1:28.6xx well in to my last stint, and only the 28.7 lap had any slipstream! I was so happy.

why did Roy and Weedy changed there car?

I also don't get the rules for cars, i thought we could't change cars in the season?
Joey, Roy, and Weedy changed there cars.

Also it seems to be more then 2 cars of each model is allowed?

Nissan Yellowhat YMS Tomica GT-R ‘08*
Netherdragon, Phil_75, ArnoB and now Weedy

Lexus Petronas Tom’s SC430 ‘08
classicpark, YingYang, Roy, Weedy

Honda Takata Dome NSX ‘06
Me, Joey and Roy

Roy changed to an NSX because it was far more competitive than the Lexus, and it means that if he is faster, then we can't say that he's quicker because of the turbo/stage 3/whatever. I don't know why Weedy changed cars, but as long as he doesn't change again then it's ok.

Joey changed cars before the first race because his original car (the Epson NSX) was 50kg heavier and slower than the standard NSX's, so I allowed him to change.

Arno doesn't race the championship anymore, and classicpark was never included. But for this season I'm ok with 3 duplicate cars when it makes people more competitive.

And so the swapping of the top-spot continues. Hopefully it'll be me in the number 1 spot after final round at the Nurburgring GP :sly:

Onwards to SSR5 now! A track that I think I enjoy :p

Can't believe i got disconnected. Was in third and my tyres were pretty damn good.
I was looking forward to a good race...

Well Roy could have changed to another NSX. If he can't afford one I could give one to him. We only have one Raybrig and one Arta. why should we have 3 Takata's ? That's just stupid.

Can I change to Xanavi/Calsonic GT-R or Arta/Raybrig NSX as I'm faster in these?

Also great driving from WEEDY77 - up my ass for ages and didn't touch me or go for a lunge once even though he was faster!

Respect to Maxitsu for staying in, it's very dis-heartening when you're at the back.

Can never get the yellowhat to work for me and this race was the worst, car was unstable and wouldn't turn or keep line and don't know what I did to the gear ratios as I was being massively out accelerated even though I had them short!

Race started while I was messing with settings so I had to leave it!

But... it's all good fun.

Great racing everyone.

Back on form GP! :)

Because he changed cars an hour before the race, he'll have to change cars for next week. This season has been all over the place with people signing up and dropping out after one race and people just not showing up, so at the moment, I'm more interested in people actually racing than enforcing the '2-car rule'.

Annoyingly, we started the pre-season with a good 12+ people, and now we average about 9 or 10 each race.

Goodmorning,

I was too tyred last night, to write a resume.

Yesterday, tried to search a balanced setup for the car, not evident on Monaco.
I wasn't the fastest all day compared to the nsx's, but i knew their tyres wouldn't last so long.
Strategy was 14-12-12, so a 2 stopper.
My start wasn't that good. Got away 2nd after Roy. I didn't expect to follow Roy. I stayed 6-7 laps just behind him, waiting for his tyres to degrade. At the right moment passed him, battled few times and made a small gap. After pits, i got just behind roy, not bad. Unfortunately, i just made a small mistake and hit the barrier. Lost 6 secs. So every lap would be a time trial lap from that moment, to catch up.
Too bad Kyaw lost connection!

Up to the next ,bah SSR5 :)

Whats the differences on the xanavi/calsonic and the yellowhat?

The xanavi also felt like you describe, but after some help from GP it felt better, it was slower than my setup for me, but the car felt better and I did better laps when I passed 7-8 laps so I decided to go with that instead of a car that was fast for 4-6 laps then much slower.

And off we go to the noisy track. with all it's bridge extension's I get a low frequent dunk... dunk... dunk and I'm playing on my home cinema witch isn't small. It doesn't help turning off the sub woofers since my speakers play this low frequents anyway. I get the same feeling I got on the old railways joints :scared:

At least it's not as bad as the all series championship when we got some 35 sign ups then 6 racing.
