I used Lightning Blue Metallic from the 2011 Mini Cooper S and it seems to be a perfect match. Might just be my TV settings though. :sly:
Funny, since through hacking you could get that car painted as if it was meant to be. I think even the decals changed colour.

The Amemiya FD3S? Yeah I had so many painted versions of those. My daily driver was a silver metallic FD3S. :)

Still can't paint the Re Amemiya FD3S. Guess Kaz didn't take note of all the colored FD3S's back on GT5 or the fact that you can order the FD3S in more colors than blue. :grumpy:

The game's car isn't representative of the retail version of the car. It's based on one particular example of a car, in a similar way to liveried race cars, SEMA show cars, or Jay Leno's cars. That being said, we can paint the SEMA cars.

It's silly that we still can't paint it since if you painted it through...other means...on GT5, the logos worked like stripes on a car; white logos for dark colors, and vice versa. It's stupid. You could just tell that the FD3S was meant to be paintable at some point in GT5's development stage.
I mean, just look!
White logos...

And Black logos!

Credit goes to the original photographers. These aren't mine. They're only to show the logos.

Man we're never getting a premium stagea with an R34 facelift mod are we :(
Sadly I don't think so. Would be nice to have though to pose next to my R34. :)

I think it's cool that you can delete the wing on the Viper ACR. Wing looks terrible, and it's non-functional (in the game). Instead, I installed the flat floor and painted the car all black. Another interesting detail is that you keep the stripe on the steering wheel when painting the car, although it turns white. Probably a glitch.

My ACR now looks like a regular Viper (almost), but it destroys Enzo's. I tuned it to make it more of a track car, reducing the weight to the limit, improved the transmission (copied the gear ratios of the SRT Viper GTS), added a Sport Soft Suspension and Sport Soft Tires. The only performance mod made was the Sports Exhaust so the car sounds like an actual Viper, and not that weird sound it has when stock. That car is a dream as always.

Wow, the Steamliner is still the WORST looking car in the game. Seriously, this thread is full of standard cars that look awesome and then you have this thing...This is the car equivalent of the standard interiors. This would be a car that was literally imported from GT4 and then thrown into the game without any graphical adjustments and the results...aren't pretty.
Yeah, it's pretty awful, that's why I painted it black, to cover up some of it. That thing is a beast on SSRX, though. It's the only car I've broken 300mph with so far, although that was with drafting. Without drafting it gets to about 285mph. It is pretty funny to race it in Like The Wind at SSRX and then watch from the first person view of the other drivers as some indistinct black blob flies past.

Here's a few that 've found so far..
First off,a Ford '71 Mustang Mach 1 with a full body kit.
2lgo.jpg

You can either have a rear wing.
t3hf.jpg

or boot lip spoiler.
khyg.jpg

Next up is a Dodge Challenger R/T '70 with front chin spoiler?..if I can call it that?
ijq9.jpg

and a rear wing
0vs2.jpg

which looks like this original challenger but slightly bigger
s7hp.jpg

And finally the '78 Pontiac Trans Am(1 of my fav muscle cars:embarrassed:).
I see they've been posted by 2 others by not in their specs,so thought I'd do that hehe:sly:
The green coloured Trans Am is the first option with full body kit with black framed targa tops.
And the gold Trans Am has a similar bodykit but with a more pronounced front spoiler with a lip on the bottom.
g6kt.jpg

Rear quarter view is similar with variations in the side/rear skirts. And changing the exhaust to racing ones totally removes the rear originals to a single drainpipe sized exhaust sticking out just in front of the left rear tyre.
I left the rear spoilers untouched(original) as it complements the bodykit.
cjoz.jpg

Above view of the targa tops with the first option(green) having black frames whereas the second option has a frameless body coloured panel.
nh2r.jpg

And finally, the third option which is also the most dramatic IMO,with a even more out there bodykit with a black extension of the front spoiler. In addition to that there's also front fender(top) strips?
fory.jpg

And at the mid/rear,even more pronounced side/rear skirts,an integrated high mount rear wing and lo and behold rear windscreen louvre(louver in U.S?)!.Third option leaves the targa top untouch,in it's original chrome frame.
1n92.jpg

I haven't checked out all of the GT cars external add ons yet,but so far the Trans Am seems to have the most options/variations that actually look like they came from the factory:odd:.

Did another quickie on the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe '11
First option with very subtle front lip spoiler and side skirts(black).
is4p.jpg

and also subtle rear boot lip spoiler(black also)
9g77.jpg

Second option(right) with fuller bodykit that's exactly the same as option three(left),main difference is it's body coloured.
o2tz.jpg

And again, subtle rear boot lip spoiler with only difference being one is body coloured(option3).
bsyr.jpg

I have to admit IMO,this is one sleek looking beast of a car(modified) as we don't have this in Australia:indiff:.

Some more cars...
Others have posted about the Scion FRS but haven't seen the differences side by side(with pics).
The Scion FRS has a 2 option full body kit(identical) and a single rear spoiler with the only difference being the blacked out bits on the lower front spoiler and side skirts. The kit looks really nice and blends into the bodywork, unlike some that look like they're stuck on.
0eip.jpg

Has a subtle but unique rear spoiler with neat rear bumper slits on each side behind the rear wheels.
v868.jpg

Like the FRS above, the Fisker Karma too has 2 identical bodykits that also blends well with the cars' body.1 being all black and the other body coloured.
tm63.jpg

It also comes with the subtlest of boot lid spoilers that you can hardly notice that there's even one there:odd:.
Look carefully,it's there lol.
atpj.jpg

Next we move on to the Brits(UK) and to start them off we have the Aston Martin DB9 Coupe with side skirts and a front splitter with a flick up at the ends.
anhu.jpg

At the back,I slapped on a big arse wing to match that big arse rear diffuser I got when adding the flat floor.
jty8.jpg

The V12 Vantage with a front splitter and what looks to be black paint on the side skirts? As they weren't there before the add ons.
f6pz.jpg

At the rear..nothin lol.Well,it doesn't really need anything does it?Looks cool as it is.👍
im65.jpg

In the blue is the Jaguar XKR-S with a 'whoa check this out' front splitter/spoiler and side skirts. In purple is the XKR Coupe also with front splitter and side skirts.
oxxm.jpg

At the rear I left them pretty much as is without slappin on huge wings with the exception of the XKR-S which I fitted the flat floor netting that wtf:scared::crazy: rear diffuser.
i274.jpg

Lotus Elise 111R has 2 winglets for 1st option(yellow) and additional wide ass front splitter(double as snow plougher),side skirts and what looks like a carbon cover/panel for the side inlet vents for option 2(red).
quov.jpg

rugc.jpg

And lastly the TVR Tuscan Speed 6 with front splitter and side winglets.
dimr.jpg

At the rear it has some kind of a deflector plate? which I have not seen on any other car yet.
It could just be a one off.Very unusual.
zmpd.jpg

And just for laughs is the Mini Marcos with a slammed ride and the mother of all wings(well, for it's size it is lol).
I had a WTF:scared: moment when the wing was added as it's sitting on the roof!
And for some strange reason the exhaust didn't like to be modded because when I put racing exhaust on,the tailpipe looked the same:odd:.
4gs9.jpg

t4cp.jpg

In GT5, adding a wing to the Ferrari California would put the roof on it, I was expecting you could do the same in GT6 or even have a separate option to it but no, PD removed it entirely...

The Dino with a racing exhaust doesn't actually have an exhaust. The stock silencers are there, but there's no exits to them - they're like little canisters suspended under the rear bumper, which still has rectangular slots for the tips.

Looks nice and clean, though, and the slots and silencers aren't usually visible.

I dont know if this has been posted yet, but you can turn the Chevrolet El Camino pick up truck into a Hearse :D

That makes it two hearses in the game along with the Volvo 240 Estate

Damn, actually it has been posted in the 2nd post... my bad :banghead:
