Most details are left out of the rear view mirror. Small things like roll cages, wings, air-brakes, you know, the things you should be able to see in the mirror!

TYVM for the reminder.

The graphics on the mirror are like GT2 .

some cars pp is raised when the power output is loved.. the vertigo and the speed 12 are both subject... some cars are also better when extra weight balances care and highers pp.

Yup , on the Saleen S7 if you put max ballast , PP will raise.

And other:

Infiniti FX45 , I think it's the only one. If you add max ballast on the position 0 , the car weight distribution will still change.

Take a standard model car and go to shop. Change the wheels and it still says standard model cars cant change wheels! Lol

That should happen on any car without a natural 50/50 weight distribution. It might not be enough to change the number, but the exact middle has been offset in most any car that I've tried to find it in when adding ballast. 0 is right in the center so you would expect it to move a front or rear biased car towards 50/50.

Well, that saves performance. For every detail they would add in the mirrors they had to remove something else from the main screen. So where do you want you details?

That's not what this thread is for. I stated an interesting, funny, or otherwise stupid GT5 fact.

And, to stay on track with the thread: My ACR Viper has horribly choppy shadows on the steering wheel.

The Ford Mustang GT Premium '07, with Stage 2 Tuning, a Racing Air filther, and the Titanium Racing Exhaust, will sound exactly like a Peugoet 908 in the game.

It was brought up three times, why is it wrong to explain the reason behind the blank rear-view and side mirrors?

And am I missing something here?

GT5 is the worst selling full-numbered GT title. For obvious reasons.
smh

Good stuff, CC. How does it pertain to this thread though? I don't think it's interesting.

Forgot to say, how is it interesting if it's for obvious reasons? which it isn't even true

On topic: you can slightly fast-forward how long the loading takes for when your newly bought car rolls out by repeatedly pushing X or Circle. Circle first if you don't want it to change to that car.

What? Almost everyone of my standard cars have custom wheels. There are few like the lmp race cars and certain road cars that can't.

Now for this topic: A supra with medium turbo has the same amount of HP as a Supra with high RPM Turbo.

It's kinda hard to explain...here i go:

if you try going up the hill in a straight line, you will eventually start to go backwards. However, while going backwards, if you can gain enough speed, you can turn around and get up a little farther than you did before. Doing that a few dozen times should get you up the hill if you gain enough momentum before each turn.

Challenge...Accepted

Nop , I just tested in Ram 1500 Laramie , GT-R Tokyo 2001 and Volvo 240 GLT Estate and the weight distribution didn't changed.

When watching replays of some online races, the cars on track are beeping their horns even though there was no horn beeping in the race. Sometimes the horn stays on all the way down the straight, it's really annoying.

Also, there's a discrepancy with some kerbs on some tracks like The Ring, in so much as where the graphic representation of the kerb is not matched to where the kerb actually is. This results in the cars two tyres riding someway above the kerb, & looks really bad. Sloppy programming by PD I think!

:ouch:

go to the shop and just highlight change wheels. the little message that pops up will still mention that standard cars can't change wheels.

On some cars, when you upgrade the engine from Stage 2 to Stage 3, the power and PP figures decrease.

Can't remember off the top of my head which cars this rule applies to, though, but I swear a Premium Mercedes-Benz has this quirk (I've a hunch it's the SL55 AMG).

True true, I noticed this!! Not sure which car though.. I have the SL55 AMG but not upgraded it yet so there is a another car(s) with this glitch. 👍

came across a glitch where PP of a car will increase after a race. For instance when i use my R35 TC on the nurburgring a-spec seasonal, after i finish the race i breach regulations because my pp increased to 651. So i adjust downforce a notch, race again, and afterwards im back at 651!

That's not a glitch, that's the engine "breaking in" and releasing more bhp. That's how new/rebuilt engines work in real life, they only release max bhp when everything is bedded in after X amount of miles (varies depending on which car)

On topic: you can slightly fast-forward how long the loading takes for when your newly bought car rolls out by repeatedly pushing X or Circle. Circle first if you don't want it to change to that car.

If you have a keyboard, you can speed up any menu process in GT5, because the enter key/escape key work like X and O, enabling you to 'double press' these buttons (same with the arrows). For example when selecting 'buy' on a car, keeping your finger down on the enter key will immediately select the car, so you hear the start up sound, and the paint chip pop up come up while the car is barely starting to roll onwards you.

This also speeds up scrolling. Using just the controller to scroll from min to max values on some settings can take ages, using both at the same time speeds it up about 5 times. If it takes you 10 seconds to scroll from the very left to the end on right on the final gear of the fully customizable transmission, it will take about 2-3 using the keyboard. Sometimes the scrolling in a list is so fast that the PS3 lags for a moment.

And another trick about lists that show up from top to bottom using the DS3, like when scrolling through brands in garage, when pressing the left/right button you go up/down skipping 5 options. Makes the garage easy accessable. This might be common knowledge, but hey, if just one person didn't know about that until it reads my posts, it was worth it.

Well... probably not.

While watching the replay, with some cars you can notice fire blasting out the exhaust while shifting. I noticed it and thought: "Wow, that'd be a cool photo." As there's no frame-by-frame viewing available, I rewinded the sequence many times trying to capture that brief moment and I noticed, that sometimes the flame is there and sometimes not.

Not sure if this has been said;

Recent seasonal 1960's honda time trial, in the description it says its for the toyota s series, they may have changed it now but it said it when i first went on it
