"Gran Turismo 5 will feature over 1000 cars, the most ever in the series"

+1

Ferrari 458 Italia has mirrored Ferrari logo on one (or more) brake callipers. Also, California's (can't remember) side Ferrari shield badge is mirrored.

There's a floating button in McLaren F1's interior next to the gear lever.

In Seasonal Events, it always lists the number of laps twice in a event breakdown, for example:

500PP FR Challenge: Cape Ring Inner/7 Laps/7 Laps

I actually just noticed that this morning, lol

I just remembered another strange GT5 fact/ anomaly, but can't remember the car. The fact is that this particular car has an unusual rev limiter: Instead of bouncing off the limiter when over-revving, it feathers back the throttle so that you never actually hit the limiter.

I think it was on a 70' or 80's Japanese car. I'll have to look for it and report back. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

User created "point to point'' tracks were advertised, but not in game.

''Matchmaking'' is on the disk case... but is it in the game?

If u add weight make, the gears long, and keep it stock the Mazda Carol 360 won't get out of the pits on hilly tracks like MT. Aso.

Fact: If you suspend and resume a race, the game saves the way your garage is sorted (at least the "PP/Order Used" set of options. As far as I know that's the only time it doesn't reset when you load up the game.

Question: Am I the only one who never had any of the endurance race wins appear in the Log? I'm sure about all but the first three, and suspension is not a factor.

If you were to drive every car on every course for one lap in Gran turismo you would not in your lifetime finish such task

I wanna see the math that backs up that statement!

in terms of time it would take around 35 days 24 hours a day to do it, the reality with loading times and some laps being longer than other (nurburgring) it would probably be more like 60-70 days. Could be done tho.

No he is right, it is impossible because the Fiat 500 cant make it around the Eiger Nordwand circuits. :D (tested) stock Fiat can not make it up the hill. LOL

Edit, dont forget the course maker. :) how many variations are there?

You won't win this challenge, ever.

It's hilarious and slightly depressing when it can't make it up the dirt hill on Eiger.

Edit: he did mention a totally stock 500, although what he didn't say was that it is the F (the original), and that's what I was referring to as well. No modifications to enhance or worsen the car - just dirt tires required for the track.

FALSE. If you zig zag up the hill it is possible.

Its possible?

It's kinda hard to explain...here i go:

if you try going up the hill in a straight line, you will eventually start to go backwards. However, while going backwards, if you can gain enough speed, you can turn around and get up a little farther than you did before. Doing that a few dozen times should get you up the hill if you gain enough momentum before each turn.

Also debating to update OP because i ran into a strange glitch whilst watching a replay...after one of my opponents took a pit stop their tire wear meters startd fluctuating for a few laps, then returned to normal once the tires got worn in a bit. i don want to update because i have virtually no proof of it happening, but if i can get a hold of a camera i will load footage to youtube.

The Gillete Vertigos PP is totally broken, try playing with the weight and power settings and keep an eye on the pp, at one point reducing weight lowers pp ????? also one click can change pp by 3 then the next by 1

No, this is absolutely correct. PD has not entered the correct specs into the game, so this car cannot handle it's power. Adding weight and decreasing power will help.

Yes the chassis not being able to handle the power is right and so are the specs a third model of it was made with those monstrous specs and if you dont believe me check the bottom of it's description.

Aw you can't count the course maker, then it definitely is impossible. But entirely possible using just the courses and zigzagging on the hill as mentioned

I once saw a post suggesting one could accomplish a task/challenge by racing 24 Hours per day without stopping for more than a month.

Even taken with a grain of salt the size of a Samba bus, that is infinitely more ridiculous than any PP glitch, or a hill underpowered cars struggle with.

Based on my calculations it would take easily a bit more than 2 months. And yeah not sleeping for 2 months, would probably kill you.

Sometimes, a car can appear in the UCD (Used Car Dealership) with 0 mileage on it.

Veyrons are always like that in UCD ;) Don't know if the others can though, but rarely there are cars with very low mileages.

Yes, but this is why I mention it. It's a strange quirk of the game that a car with 0 mileage is in a Used Car Dealership... someone bought it originally and then decided they didn't like it, without actually driving it....?
