GTPlanet doesn't ask anyone to do a time trial to be placed into a division. We don't have any time trials, or divisions.

Is this something to do with some private league or event posted in the GT7 Leagues & Online Racing forum? People post their own events in there, but they're nothing to do with GTPlanet directly and we don't control or manage them in any way. If so, you'd be better finding the thread you were posting in and asking in there rather than in this thread which is, again, for new members to the site to introduce themselves.
Sounds like he may have gotten an invite to join a league, and is having issues finding a private message maybe?

Agreed though, wrong place for this post.

Hi, thanks for having me and taking the time to read this. I purchased Gt7 back in feb 26 and after a month of daily racing I decided to get into sport mode and I love it! I worked my dr to B and sr to S but lately including this week at Tokyo my dr has dropped to c and my sr to B, it’s so frustrating that the penalty system is not harsh enough to put a stop people punting others off the track constantly and killing my race time. I’ve been looking into leagues, is there any guidance any of you guys can offer? Much appreciated

Jarryd

Hi everyone, I'm new here.
I have a PS3 and I mostly play GT6. I just got back into playing online a few days ago after discovering the custom private servers. 😀
I found this page while looking for user-created track files.
Nice to meet you all!

Hello everyone, just thought I'd pop in to briefly introduce myself. Been familiar with the site since the early 2000s, and I've been playing racing games since I first got into games back in the 90s. Can't remember what one it was exactly, but I've been a huge fan of the Gran Turismo series ever since the first one, with the first 4 in the series being the ones I have the fondest memories of.

I do enjoy Forza as well, and I've logged countless hours playing Need For Speed back in the day during the Blackbox era.

I do have a Logitec steering wheel. However, the space to accomodate it since I moved into my new place has been an issue. Don't have anywhere to properly set it up yet.

Anyways, looking forward to talking about whatever. Might even post some screenshots while I'm at it. ^^

Hello,
I play GT6 on a PS3 with a Logitech G29 wheel; I love the PS3 era games though I like GT7/PS5 a lot too. Can't wait for FH6 even though I think Gran Turismo is better. I found GT Planet recently when I was looking at the new Hypercar update for GT7 in June. My Favorite cars are:
Lamborghini Huracan
Mazda Furai concept
Peugeot 9x8 LMH
Just to name a few no order here:gtpflag:
I'm really into sim racing, car design, and RC cars
Cool forums on Gran Turismo here love it :)

Hi!
Saw GTPlanet site for while and I decided to introduce myself because I like sim racing and other stuff. I've played GT7 for while
and Forza Horizon 5 on PS5 while waiting for FH6 PS5 port to be release, there's other cool things in GTPlanet, so I signed up for it.

Hello all i have known about GT planet for some time been a lurker for a few years. I'm in the UK was an avid Forza player back in the day then project Cars 1 and 2 also a bit of Assetto corsa and ACC. Looking forward to being part of the community.

Hello GTPlanet!
Was looking for info on GT5 for PS3-retired electrician and remodeler-revisiting old games that I have and never had time to play them-
currently playing GT5 - then to GT4 - GT3 - and GT
waiting for GT6 to go to classics with playstation - then I'll buy it
having a ball playing and tweaking car settings - I spend far too much time playing -
I have a physical impairment/challenge that makes things a bit more difficult for me to drive - it adds some extra excitement/frustration to the mix - I have Essential Tremors - opposite of Parkinsons - my tremors are an action tremor - when trying to do something thats when I start to shake - Have had a procedure done that helps with most of the tremors called DBS and it helps a great deal but not complete elimination - so trying to manipulate a joystick is tricky - but I am dealing with it -
having a great time!
on GT5 - have progressed to Extreme level - have been learning how to best tweak settings to get to the winners circle and just having so much fun!
Thanks Jordan for creating an environment to share all this great info!

Hey Old man!
.........just teasing!
not so young myself. I have been having so much fun with GT5! My kids are all living elsewhere - cool that your grandkids are close by - I have a son in Helena - he loves it up there!

maybe I should get a wheel

  • Asked Perplexity AI where to go for tuning GT7 cars.
  • Indiana
  • I don’t remember the title of it, but it was in the late 90s. My friend had it NASCAR based and on the PC I think ..we like turning around going backwards and wrecking into everybody
  • Negative on the steering wheel just dual sense edge PS5 controller
  • I try to enjoy 2K26 and MLB the show but I guess do to my sport playing iq it’s a uphill battle with more frustration then joy as I try escaping reality with video games.
  • Hopefully being able to finish races or properly play the game without it becoming a second job to learn how to play a game…. Struggle bus rider for sure, also not a huge fan of the new gaming model of by the title then paying for progress with in the game or info from outside of it .

I am in dire need of figuring out how and or where to go for info to set up my cars so I can actually turn on these tracks, and I’m novice that doesn’t know how to drive manual
I did spend and got access to the tuner app/website with ai that needs to drop the i in its title , having seemingly better quality experience just asking google ai …. Still undefeated “ask the inter web”

  • How did you find GTPlanet?
    • Google. Turns out arguing with my TV wasn’t improving my lap times.
  • Where are you from?
    • Australia. Home of potholes and questionable roundabouts.
  • When did you start playing racing games?
    • Since I was old enough to discover that walls are optional braking aids.
  • Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?
    • Nah. PS5 Edge controller and PSVR2. Missing a right leg, so a fancy pedal setup drops a couple of secs off.
  • What other games do you enjoy?
    • Battlefield, CoD etc anything that lets me make poor decisions from the comfort of my home office
  • What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?
    • Stealing everyone’s tunes, pretending I figured them out myself, and hopefully contributing something useful once I stop asking rookie questions

Long-time lurker, finally registered. Life-long passion for cars. Enjoy racing games, especially now that I have a wheel. Most forums are oddly negative for what is supposed to be a fun hobby. GTP is the exception.

Another lurker here. I decided to finally stop watching from the outside and sign up.

  • How did you find GTPlanet?
    • Probably searching about something Gran Turismo related in the past. More recently, from the Gran Turismo 4 Retexture Pack.

  • Where are you from?
    • Spain

  • When did you start playing racing games?
    • Since I was able to hold a controller. Super Monaco GP was my first racing game.

  • Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?
    • Fanatec CSL DD with the basic BMW steering wheel. For non-sim games, I use a Gamesir G7 SE.

  • What other games do you enjoy?
    • Outside of the sim world: Trackmania, Football Manager or Monster Hunter.

  • What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?
    • I guess I could contribute to the Forza Horizon 6 thread to begin with.

Hi there!

My name is Tobias and I come from Denmark. Found the site using chatGPT, since I was looking for more serious racing, than what dailies can provide.

Currently I’m DR C, SR S. Interested in custom races and championships with focus on etiquette and clean racing to improve my skill level.

I’ve played racing games my entire life more or less, probably 25 years and counting, not exclusively though.

I play on a Fanatec GT DD PRO with GT3 rim, using PSVR2.

I don’t play many other games after picking up racing with wheel in VR, but I’m looking forward to GTA VI and thus play GTA Online now and again.

Looking forward to meeting likeminded drivers and particularly to participate in the races being held from this platform.

Best regards!

Hi everyone,

I am writing this in English now because my first post was immediately deleted just because it was in Spanish. Honestly, in 2026, with all the modern browser translation tools available, it feels a bit outdated to drop messages like that instead of just using a translation button. But anyway, let's look forward.

I'm from Spain and I've been playing racing games for about 30 years, always with a controller. I discovered this forum by chance while looking for information about Gran Turismo. I also enjoy sports and strategy games.

To be direct, what I'm looking for in this community is not exactly to make friends. I want to learn from the best, improve, and put my skills as a driver to the test.

By the way, what is the best subforum or thread to check out telemetry and top setups for Gran Turismo 4?

See you on the tracks.

JMR.

The very first rule of the Acceptable Use Policy that you just agreed to in order to create your account here is "You will post all messages in English.".
But anyway, let's look forward.
Yes, let's.

Probably the Gran Turismo 4 one:

However, the game being as old as it is now, you'll likely find more active discussion on modding it than anything else.

I found GTPlanet when I worked with my "Wishlist" for GT7
Sweden
Maybe when I was 5-6 years old, I don't remember but my first racing game I remember as far was Gran Turismo 4. The intro song did actually stuck in my head. When I was maybe 13 years old, I rediscover Gran Turismo franchise and maybe at 14 years old, I play Gran Turismo 7 which I currently play.
I play with a steering wheel and I use a steering wheel from Logitech but I really want Fanatec steering wheels.
I also enjoy Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered and Mario Kart in my Nintendo Switch.
I'm most looking forward to doing in the community is just accomplished my "Wishlist"😁
