Invisible Players

Sometimes when I'm online there will be players who are invisible (I don't mean ghost), but I know they are there because of their mic. Why is this? Is it lag? Can it be fixed?

Maybe they're in the race lobby while you're on the track. That way you hear them without seeing them.

I've had the same problem lately with the online series I'm competing in. Rather weird but I think it's just a glitch as I can leave the room, re-enter and they'll show up. Probably just another bug caused by an update trying to solve bugs....

I feel like it'd be connection problems but I've never experienced it.

I am having the same trouble and I assume it's my laggy vacation network

Yes this happens. Either you or the other person has a bad connection. Usually cured by exiting and re-entering the room

I know two people that competed in a racing series with me that had this problem. It was definitely their connection because my internet is fast and others couldn't see them either, could hear them though. They tried exiting and entering multiple times and nothing worked. Eventually they stopped racing because of this and that's a shame cause they are cool people.

strange, i know, i just participated in a 10 player FGT online race, 5 laps around Indy speedway, and we all formed "one car" into the last lap to the finish, whereas some other races, a mild touch from someone behind me would send me spinning out of control. GT5 online is not fun in its current state, and so many "clean race" hosts totally disrespect "clean race" too. pity. penalties need to be addressed in future update(s).

similar problems for me also the last 2 months or so.

orange broadband are blocking psp software and this causes problems with xbox and ps3 on-line gaming.
