Whoa! Surprised to see Trans Am not use that chicane, driving one of those dinosours arrund there must be an absolute rush!!

Looks like about a 52 second lap, too. :D

That surface looks so much nicer. Smooth, none of the Karussel-like concrete patched banking.

Did a SM race at Phillip Island last night. Just learned the track this week and overall I like it. Doesn't seem to be so popular though as on my first try for a race it didn't go official, which was a first for me on the Star Mazda series.

I'll be racing on it again tonight for the league championship I'm in. It will be live streamed, if any of you want watch just go to www.iracingbrasil.com.br/live. Race starts at 01:30 GMT.

Just came 5th at USA Internationa; in Streetstocks, got 0.06 SR increase with 6 incident points. I know I got Car contact x4for a tiny tap on the car in fronts bumper in the pace lap, and x2 later on clipping a car that spun, other then that I was clean. And yet someone else with 2 incident points gets .45 gain..? Not a fair system so far as I see it..

EDIT: About to do a nVidia Cup race now.. Better not lose .21 like last time out :scared:

The person who gained 0.45 likely only gained 0.05. When you cross a whole number in SR you get a 0.40 bump in either direction. So if he was 2.97 before the race and gained 0.05 he would actually get 0.45 and go up to 3.42 instead of 3.02. The same thing happens in reverse if you lose safety rating right around a whole number.

Eric you running the Mustang at the Glen this week? I just bought the track and did a 2:12.300, I can easily knock off a few more seconds as this was just a quick lap with a Mosport setup and my first time on the track in Iracing after only 2 laps.. What kinds of times do you think you can hit?

Mosport and Watkins Glen are similar. Watkins Glen requires a slightly softer setup for the bus stop, because there are no curbs to hop at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. :dunce: Darn it, Ron Fellows, why re-name it?!

Definitely button box! No cons, just total awesomeness! It just makes it so much nicer to have a small dashboard at the reach of your hand! You won't even have to look, you'll be able to distinguish the buttons just by touch!

Thanks!
What kind to you have??
What kind of button box do you have.

I gave up on the PS3 compatibility since the only game I play online is GT5. I just want Xbox (I play all FPS games on it) and PC (FPS/iRacing). I'm getting myself a SteelSeries Spectrum 5XB. They look nice and they have a lot of good reviews.

Yep, Steelseries is the way to go. Good build quality, relatively cheap, and is compatible. I have had the Siberia V2 for a little over a year now. Absolutely no problems, and it works for my PC, Mac, Xbox, and PS3. Can't get much better than that.

Just got my SR boosted, keep it clean and I will get promotion by the 27th :D

Yep, that's when you start getting down to real racing rather than getting lucky from others being inexperienced and crashing.

And yet another guy, whose racing career seems valid, who ALSO plays iRacing. I'm missing a lot! :( Stupid economics...

I can't afford to get into the serious racing stuff, nor the simulations. I'm just saying, that I see so many of you guys racing, and I can't join in the most realistic of simulations, or Rolex etc. in real life. Most people can't. And, I'm just disappointed.

Sell your PS3 like i did and put it towards a PC :sly:

Being a race car driver isn't always about money :banghead:

This!

If you truly want to get into serious racing simulations you need a PC. You can build or buy a PC for little money (do you have a wheel for your PS3? It should also work on the PC). A low-priced PC will not run the games with all of the eye-candy but the superior physics of PC games (iRAcing, NKP, GTR2,etc) will still be there.

👍 Once you get to class c that's when it starts to get real fun then.

Awesome, looking forward to it 👍

To be honest I've had some nice races in the Mustang and even in a few of the rookie class races, nice close clean battles, so I look forward to even more now that I'm in C.

guys testing will not affect SR right??

That's correct.

About to attempt the almost impossible and get over .20 SR so I can go up to 3.00 and then get my .45 boost up too 3.45 :D

I wish myself luck, but even if I am lucky I'll probably need a TT after wards to get up.

just did a 1.00.722 on lime with the mx5.. can get in 59/58 if i do practice a couple hours i think.. btw how do you get into a race ( no nvidia cup or something like that? )

I actually haven't put in much time there this week. I need to get qualified and run a race tonight, and hopefully get in a decent SOF race Sunday or Monday.

Just found the last practice session I was in...You're gonna want to get faster. ;)

Just secured D license in both road and oval come Monday.

Stats in sig 👍

If I wanted to get my MPR out of the way I could probably have my A license this weekend. But I'm too busy enjoying D class.

Nice time 👍 I need to practice more, I think the car feels better at the Glen then it does at Mosport, but I'm still off a pace a bit, although I was running in 4th for most of the race yesterday and had to come in for fuel and ended up 7th...

Hit a 1:01.8 at Okayama Short in the MX5 Cup, gotta say I was happy

How do you upload replays to YouTube?

I'll be in the 9:15 and 11:15 races tonight since I can't race on Sunday night. Hope to see you out there, let's hope we get a nice split! 👍

I might jump in and join you guys! I drove the Mustang for the first time since the NTM last night an I liked it! Managed a 09.112 so I need a bit more practice!
