Hey fellas!

Can anyone share links for private leagues? Would be nice to compete with people you'll be familiar with not just random people.

Then I'm not sure what you're asking for. All of the leagues are listed on the League page. Send a request to join.

It was definitely fun. Mostly because it was on an F1 track, and glassy smooth. I've driven the F1 a couple of times before but was always fighting to get it around a place with bumps.

Good stuff guys! Congratz on the win Jeff! Well done!
I qualied 16th for Split 5, had an awesome start and got down to 6th on T1! By the end of lap 1 I was down to 5th and come lap 2 I was down to second and on the leading Ferrari's gearbox!! So into La Source and right under his rear wing, here comes Eaurouge and I get loose at the top, spun it and damaged both the front and rear left suspensions.
I limp it back letting the field by in the process and use my fast repair. From there on it was catching the next car and by lap 13 with the pit cycle I was down to 11th again.
Nearing my second and final stop I made it to 10th but again got loose at the same spot and this time I lost it big time! Flipped the car over a few times, so I had to call the tow truck and ended up with too much damage.
All in all I'm happy because I had a blast! Some awesome racing and ended up only loosing 12 iR and like 6 SR wich in my eyes is a good trade off for some awesome racing!
Video of the start coming up!

Really wish we could start out from a garage or whatever other paddock area at the track. 5 minute warmup as it currently is (to get people joined and check that hardware works), "grid" button starts you in the garage or whatever other spot, follow some track worker's directions to proceed out of pit road to your starting position, either making a lap around the course, down pit road backwards, or whatever other way works for that track.

Basically I should go play rFactor2 from what I've heard.

Lol! Yeah, I don't see the point of those people that say go play rFactor, fanboys I guess. But it would be an awesome feature I'd love to have it on iRacing!

rFactor 2 has a lot of features that make the environment far less static than in iRacing.

I can't wait for rF2 to be released as a full game, right now there's just too many graphical glitches and issues for it to be enjoyed... Right now I can't stand any longer than 15 minutes with that game.

Well it looks like I still have noobies touch. First try in SM on Suzuka and I am 3 seconds off WR. :)

Yeah, you and 300+ other people. :sly:

I was 2 seconds off the "world record" my first try in the C6R, but that doesn't mean I'm fast. I was still only ranked 97th of 700+ drivers.

Once you are within a few tenths, that's when you start getting excited.

I downloaded the beta then decided not to pay to unlock it. I'll probably get the full version though. It sounds like a good change.

The beta and the full version are the same thing as far as money is concerned.

You are buying the full version of the game, just early, and by doing that you are being allowed access to the beta version.

rF2 is gonna be a good solid game if they can sort out the graphics, physics wise it's pretty good but still needs some tweaks. Another one to keep an eye on is Aseto Corsa, I tried it earlier this week and wow! That is one solid contender! I just wish I had more time with it, but for the 3 minutes I had with it I can say I'm pretty impressed!

I am not impressed with rFactor 2 at all, I bought a license and tried a few times with it and I won't touch it again until it's finished.

Aseto Corsa does look awesome. Jav how did you manage to play 3 minutes of it? They too must be getting close to releasing it?

It turns out that there's a prototype here in Orlando, so of course I had to check it out!

I know. Just chose not to spend the money at the time.

Heh, just tried to race the Mustang at Okayama. Hadn't driven there at all this week, no practice or quali. Got in the session and made half of a lap before warmup ended. With 20 seconds left to grid iRacing.exe crashes. Then I couldn't get the join button to reappear, closed the browser, kept refreshing, finally it came back. I start from pits with the leader 40 seconds behind me. I think I was way off-pace most of the race, running 1'46s when I think I need to be able to do 45s. Probably need different swaybars with Okayama being an ice rink. Either way, finished 18th. I will not be trying again. Screw that track.

Eric.

I hate it to, luckily it'll be gone tonight (if it isn't already) but sadly I don't have VIR.

I know (more, I suspect!) that will be pay-to-play, the question is, how much (your other post seemed to state that it won't be cheap <so much money to play> ).

Xbox Live also has a fee for the service (heck, I even pay monthly 25€ to have broadband alone!).

You also have to keep in mind that iRacing will be more than a game to the casual fans (those ones who play 10 hours of a game and then pass into another one, or the ones that play GT or Forza 💡 ). In fact, it will be more like a training tool to die-hard simracers (well, the insticts I learnt from online simracing have saved me more than once :) ) and real-pro drivers (you'll find at RSC guys who happen to simrace and practice at trackdays).

its 7.50 a month to play, and the game is okay for pc graphics, and you race against real pros cuz they play this sht too, and a bunch of other stuff

Man I love trucks! I had one of the best races in a very long time. Finally didn't get caught up in a random wreck like race before where someone bounced off the wall right into me which caused me to hit wall head on and blew up 30 laps in! I'm debating on buying Texas or Iowa because I have no clue which track is better overall.

Just watch:

The guy's reaction? Wouldn't admit he was wrong and started accusing everyone for stopping! Honestly I think he didn't even know it was a rolling start!
No wonder why he was #16 out of 17 drivers...
