Same here, turning down the Antialiasing and that antitrop......thingy helped

How many people here use something like glaryutilities or ccleaner, sometimes I think it helps but I use them almost every time before I shutdown my computer so I don't know if cleaning all those un-needed files out actually helps with frame rate or not.

I'm running an older MBP i7 2.66GHz and it runs well getting 100+ FPS in races. But not shared graphics, so it doesn't really answer your question.

Not sure if your serious about only playing on the 15" screen but if you are you can pick up a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter for a few £/$ on eBay/amazon. I got one for £4 yesterday which should be here by the end of the week.

Probably, I'm guessing if they decide it isn't ready all of a sudden they don't want to end up giving the pre order money back and then give the car to them for free.

I don't blame them, with the amount of money they probably lost with the L49.

Thanks for comment about video cable. Did try one, but wasn't shielded so interference made it unusable. TV is also too low to be comfortable from dining chair, do I'm making do.

Something else to think about is getting the audio from MBP to tv. Dunno if it's changed in new machines, but mine doesn't support audio via HDMI.

Definitely an effective setup!

regarding audio, my understanding is post 2010 MBPs should support it with the correct adapter. The adapter I've ordered (£4 off eBay, should be here Thursday to confirm) claims to support audio so I'll report back in that. If not I've seen ways of doing it online but it means more cables.

I just got going with the Star Mazda! Now I'm going to have to decide between these two. When the L49 comes out I'll have the same problem all over again!

There are quite a few good tracks in the pipe too. It's a pretty good time to be on iRacing.

Just got going with iRacing this week and having a lot of fun learning something new. Only been running the Nvidia cup so far at LRP and now Okayama, but it's hard not to get hit at some point, lol. Hopefully things improve as I work my way up through the ranks .

Glad you made it to the dark side, it's great to see a RIP_ guy coming over. I think we've raced before with the tuna's

Like Nastradamus said, qualifying is key to falling in love with iRacing and will bring you lots of success. Most don't qualify and I have no idea why they don't, it's great practice and usually puts you at the sharp end of the grid, in any split.

Hmm, the Skippy is racing at Oran Park this week. I did a few laps with the Lotus 79 there last week and didn't like the combo much, didn't even risk racing because I couldn't keep the car on track for more than a few laps. Let's see how it goes with the Skip.
