Isn't there snow storms all over the place? Maybe that knocked the server out?

Yeah they are getting hit by a snowstorm. Every state from New York and Up is has snow with some heavy gusts (at times) right now.

lol, I took the time to do a VFR approach into Telluride and fly from rome to Naples in FSX  Perfect timing!

...you guys :dopey:

Answer your YouTube channel? I really wanna see onboard from that VIR almost spin "That's Committed."

 The amount of practice or w/e word is astonishing... How do you guys drive your V8 Supercars on 2 wheels in every corner like that?

Is there a way to delete a track and re-download it again? I keep having problems loading Mosport.

I'm assuming you've tried other tracks and checked your internet, but I would assume it's the C>Program files> iRacing >Tracks>Mosport file. I've never done that but I assume that you could re-download it.... I wouldn't try it myself though.....

Trust me, it's no where near as exciting from the onboard. It just looks easy and boring from the onboard. You hit the kerbs and the car just floats through the air as that's how it was setup. However, bear in mind that it will mean nothing now as it was filmed on the Old Tyre Model when we used to set the suspension up soft, now it would just bounce off the kerbs.

It's a shame the V8 doesn't go to VIR anymore but regardless of that, it's an awesome series and provides such close racing.

V8 SUpercar is a hard car to drive, awesome, but definitely a handful.

Hmmm... I'm surprised you guys are not talking more about it, but the ar list signed on the BMW deal was confirmed on the weekend and it sounds very very interesting:
BMW E92 M3 GT2
BMW Z4 GT3
BMW 328i BTCC

What's more exciting to me is that we will finally be having multiple manufacturers in one class!!
Am I the only one getting excited about it??

If you're talking about 4 manufacturers in the GT class then that would be awesome. We just need Porsche to jump in on the action now.

Yeah we all know the deal with the Porsche license...

Kevin it'll only be 2 manufacturers per class on GT-E/GT3/BTCC first then it'll grow from there as more cars are added.
Plus the oval cars where Ford is coming in.

wait what? I hadn't heard anything about ovals and ford, can you explain?

the GT3 cars will still be in separate points championship groups right?

edit: where can I find a list of the most popular (most run/most participated/most hosted) tracks in the service including ovals? I'm thinking about getting the NASCAR truck, but I don't necessarily want to get all the tracks.

GT3 will be GT3, GT-E will be GT-E, BTCC will be BTCC however many cars in the class will all compete for the same championship on its particular class. The Z4 will compete with the McLaren, the M3 will compete with the Ford GT, the 328 will compete with the Civic, the Mustang will compete with whatever the Oval Chevy is for that class and the Fussion will compete with the Impala(?) so on and so on.

Oh wow, that's awesome

So far I heard Pocono was one not to buy and I'm not a fan of Iowa. My favorite track hands down is Rockingham along with Charlotte, Michigan.

There is already a ton of complaining on the forums about multi-car classes, but I don't get it. People keep saying, "oh if we put the BMW with the Ford GT no one will drive the Ford GT because it will be much more difficult." Well, that's part of the allure of multi-car classes, each car has it's own characteristics. If you are good with the Ford GT you'll still be fast regardless. Granted, many people might not pick the Ford GT, but it doesn't matter because we will all be competing for the same positions.

This is what iRacing needs, but some people are trying to make it seem like it's the end of the world.

I've learned from the iracing forums that the service could give away free tracks and cars and people would still find reasons to complain.

I think it's just the nature of Internet forums these days.

Its more a case of people being more likely to login to a forum to complain than they are to login and sing praises.
Lets face it, most people that are happy just play the game.

Not to mention, the threads/discussions that get the most attention are the ones where people are outraged because its a more compelling discussion. Saying "this is great" tends to just get the response "yes it is". Not really much to discuss.

People don't tend to ask/discuss why other people like things...they tend to ask/discuss why people don't like things.

thanks, that helps a lot, what about Kentucky vs Chicagoland? I'm not familiar with Kentucky since I haven't watched a full season (give or take my race weekends) since about '06 or '07, and I only want one more

Hello, anyone know of a gaming computer that will run iRacing on medium to high settings. At the moment I have around 300 pounds to spend but could maybe have a little more in a couple of months.
