I guess I was thinking a little behind on driver swaps but I'm curious as to how it works too. I wasn't thinking different locations and signing jn to driver swap but more traditional swap actual seats and go. We can take that as my dumb idea for 2013 already.

One thing I'd be worried about is say a slightly damaged car and getting in fresh without the normal feel. The more I read here the more I'm interested but I'd be curious on how many teams would actually as 1-5 teams wouldn't be all that fun for me but maybe 8-15 DP along with equal or more GT cars per field. I have no idea how rfactor turns outs are for these races.

Endurance events with driver swaps sounds like an awesome idea, id be down for teaming up with someone. But i could almost guarantee at least half the field would have drivers crash out or not show, it would almost have to be an event lasting no longer than 4 hours.

That World Tour Schedule isn't final, I think once we get driver swaps and day/night transitions as well as the BMW and maybe the RUF, things will get updated.

I ran a couple Grand-Am races a few seasons ago and the closing speed of the DP on the Mustang was absolutely ridiculous. They either needed to slow down the DP by about 5 seconds or speed up the Mustang by about the same.

They should have 'Special Full Seaon' events. For example have the full Grand Am season at real race length (24h Daytona, 6 Hours of the Glen etc). They could possibly make an ALMS Season aswell. Make it a Trophy/Cash Prize for the championship winning team in each class.

Not sure that'd be the case as iR would be in play, so at least for the top splits and the people who care about it wouldn't run the risk of loosing a huge chunk of iR by simply not showing...
For the big 24hr events it may be a little difficult, but for a regular endurance championship with normal 6hr races it's not a big deal as all you'll do is a 2 or 3hr stint at the most.

I a use triton headset. Has 5.1 or 7.1 (cant remember which one) surround sound and a mic which can swivel.

Is it the AX Pro's? That's what I have for my Xbox. I'll just use them then:) What kind of sound card do you have? I've plugged my AX Pro's into the PC but they don't have the Dolby Digital without a sound card installed.

AX720 i think

Don’t know TBH. My computers low quality, just plug the USB in and I’m off

Cool. Ya I might just go with it as is then. I'm loving the car sounds in iRacing so far. Drove the Cadillac earlier and it sounds pretty good:)

Had a bit of an improvement in the street stock today. Started 6th, but the guy in 4th started from the pits so I effectively got 4th. Dodging wrecks I finish in 2nd :)

I have ax720s. I'm pretty sure that I can set it to dolby digital with my motherboards sound card (however ax720s are simulated 5.1). I have set it so that I put game sounds through the digital input and teamspeak coms through the usb. I can then use the separate volume controls for both.

Nice. Ya I think I'll just have to buy me a cheap sound card that has Dolby digital capability if I want that. Are there any good PC headsets that aren't super expensive? I could probably just go that way beings I wouldn't have to change between PC and Xbox.

I believe that all headsets that use the USB port rather than headphone jacks have built in sound cards. Don't quote me on that though.

I use the Turtle Beach PX21's. Not bad for the money, but they're only stereo. I bought them a couple years ago for GT5/PS3, and they're a lot better than a bluetooth ear piece, but I miss the surround sound. I haven't decided if I want to get a nice 5.1 headset or go with 5.1 speakers and a boom mic on my rig, since iRacing uses push-to-talk.

My 3 27" monitors came in yesterday. Hope to get a mount built for them this weekend. I'm a little excited. :)

Yes sir I have got 5 of them now in the last hour. Starting to get a little annoying.:yuck:

I didn't get any. Maybe only for newer members?

For headsets, I went wireless a month ago with Logitech G930's. Absolutely the best $100 I have spent on sim racing. Not having a wire resting on my shoulder or my back has been amazing. Sound quality is great in my opinion too!

i really hate games where i have to pay per month and pay for the extra contents, thats why i never touched WOW, i dont care how great it is, if i have to pay per month forget about it.

And I for one thank you for keeping the populations on our servers lower.

Ya I'm thinking it's only new guys getting them. They quit now though so that's good. That headset looks amazing man.

Got my SR upto 3.40 so not long until I can get promoted hopefully. Some of the racers are awful. Also I'm consistently finishing top 5 so I'm reasonably happy.
