Yea was a bit slow. All good now on the road side and just 2 more races and .39 left untill oval is ready for promotion in to class-C.

Anyone know how to use a prepaid credit card to re-charge your account? It keeps asking for name on the card which of course it doesn't have..

Nevermind, I forgot about currency covertio so I just thought I had more then I did. Now have the Williams FW-31 and $10 :)

Started from the pits (20th) in this last GT Challenge race, worked my way up to 7th and then with about 6 minutes to go a stupid backmarker Corvette who doesn't know how to pass through Moss shoved me (literally) right off the track and into the wall. Ended up having to pit and finished 11th :(

On a related note, the McLaren is a TOUGH car. It seems in races and practicing if/when I put it into a wall, unless I'm going head on at 150mph, the car can still drive reasonably well, and you only end up with about a minute of required repairs. Love this car so much!

Moss corner is not a preferred passing zone, by anyone, really. Most people use the exit/draft/outbrake into T8. Moss corner is just there to confuse LMP2 cars. "Wait, I actually have to brake? A lot?"

Ugh. Race #2 went even worse. Didn't start from the pits this time, after 8 laps or so found myself fighting for 2nd with 1st well in sight. Going through Moss (once again) the 2nd place guy ran a little wide and put a tire on the dirt. Instead of doing what he should have, he slams on the brakes and turns sharply right, just as I'm passing him. Went right into my wheel and took me completely out of the race. He must have hit just right to completely destroy my suspension.

Oh well, still loving racing this car. :)

So is the SRF and Mx5 race today, or next weekend? I'm confused...

And nice job smuffy, looks like it was a fun race

Jav i think its coming around, ive been messing with the falcon setup you suggested (the first one) and trying to suit it to more my style and finally some progress. Recorded a 13.2 which is a half second quicker than my previous best. Instead of hugging every turn like a go cart, ive been able to induce a slight oversteer which is what i prefer.

I guess I'm just odd because I have no clue what my style is other than I prefer a looser car over tight as I can adjust to that.

My mom and I went to NASCAR Hall of Fame and they have Iracing simulator there where you get in a car. We were at Las Vegas in Class A Impala to which I had fastest time with 30.475 and I wasn't even sitted correctly. My mom actually did ok for never driving in sim or anything like it with 37. something. Their setup was super tight which made you wait til almost corner exit to get back on the gas but weird thing was the track was banked alot more than it seems in Iracing now.

^I did a richard petty ride along at LVMS, and it is banked a lot! We pulled on and it looked like we were going to hit wall, and then he turned and met the bank at an angle, they limit the ride along to 165 MPH and the ones where you drive to 130.

I purchased the C6R, McClaren, Ford GT and the Honda Prototype today. Drove them all except the GT. The Honda is awesome but the Vette is a blast. Turned some 1.18's at Mosport with some minor tunage to it. Loved blowing by those kids in the McClaren. Now the Honda is just plain sweet to drive right out of the box. I have to say I am really getting excited thinking about Road racing again. @Erik, I linked to your TS server for a few hours and didn't hear a soul. I know i had the right ip cause i saw your name and Ali in the service. Is there another channel others use too? TS seems like such an awesome add on. I just want to be able to us it with some folks. I promise y'all will get a chuckle at my hillbilly accent.

Sweet! I'll try to make it for at least one race tomorrow!

My dad talked about Charlotte going against your gut feeling. We didn't ride in a car though just the Iracing simulators they have but it just seemed the track they used was correct while the version used now in Iracing is flatter (between Charlotte and Kansas banking).

Are you sure you were only running 1:18's? If so you weren't blowing by that many McLarens haha. 1:18's is what the slower guys in McLarens (like myself) run at Mosport.

Yes I'm sure. It was a practice session and the top C6R's were turning .13's. Hey Jack! Don't rain on my parade, I was proud for my first time out. On the long back straight up hill the Vette blows the doors off the others. Plus I have lots of room for improvements. I was proud none the less. Pat my back and say "great job Vince, keep it up" lol

I don't own vegas in sim so I have no clue

Edit: wait a minute, I think I bought it not long ago and just haven't had the chance to run it

Sorry if I made it seem like I was being a buzzkill. I genuinely thought you were mixing up your times or something. Currently the fastest C6's are seemingly in the low 13's and high 12's so being about 5 seconds off your first time out isn't bad at all. I used to really like the Corvette until I got the McLaren, now it feels completely different to me. The fastest McLarens are are low 1:16s and probably some high 1:15's somewhere. So seems like only about a 3 sec difference which is awesome in my opinion. Most tracks have much bigger differences.

How come when doing a race at night, the windshield is already dirty before even starting the race? I just ran the Mustang in Grand Am on Sebring at night, I'm way off the pace.. Mustang isn't to happy on bumpy old Sebring either..

Right
Im on the outside lane at Bristol, the leader is hugging the bottom for the last 5 laps. I get alongside the leader on the outside, but the spotter doesn’t say ‘inside’. The leader then pulls up and clips my front end as the spotter says inside, he spins and I get the win.

After the race I say sorry, but he ignores that and starts to swear at me, saying I’m going to report you, you little 🤬 ect.

Is this my fault or the leaders or racing incident?

Well you said he came up so it's definitely not your fault. Whether it's his or a racing incident could be hard to tell though.

Racing incident. He can report you all he wants, just protest him back for bad language.
