Thanks Wardez, I'll look into that when I get back from tossing GT-R's around. ;)

Man I really hope you are the one who makes it! I want to see you running arround the US tracks on ALMS, Grand AM and everything else! I'll be proud to say to everyone, that guy you see there used to beat the crap out of me on the Lexus ISF cup!!!

yea i know, im currently at Class D 2.37. Was up at 2.97 but dropped to idiots crashing everywhere...

Ya i know, that incident was inevitable.

I think youre talking about this Andreas Nie, who did the exhibition interview for inside simracing.

By the way, how can you replay a race without the user interface? I've seen videos without the HUD but cant seem to figure out how to turn it off

Chris

Ahh i see, you have a really good voice and seem like a very good personality for doing commentary 👍

To remove the bars just hit space, but then you can´t switch cameras i think..
Maybe there is a key you can push to change camera angles without bringing up the bars. I´ll look into it m8.

If we get an F1 league started, could you imagine doing commentary? :)

I'm looking for the best set up 2. The Info I got so far is 3x 120Hz screens, i just need the best PC gear now, graphic card i hear is probably the most important as most new pc's have all you need in processor power. I not up with all the latest computer terms, so simply put what i need to take to a sales person whould be handy. On Iracing, starting from scratch, how long whould it take a reasonable skilled driver to get to C class so I can race the v8 supercar series. Thanks in advance hope to race ya soon on what looks to be the best online racing game with a bright future in Iracing 2.0

Not many days at all, it depends on how many wrecks you get caught up in ;)
Sometimes you just want to punch the screen and rage on the mic to the person who wrecks you intentionally but it´s better to stay calm :)

If you really commit yourself i would say 2 days maybe less if all the planets in the solar system is perfectly alligned and nothing happens to you :P

I thought there was a problem with lag between computer and TV, which is a problem with response times when trying to control your Iracing cars especially the faster ones?

V sync should be turned off.

As far as response time PC/TV it depends on the response time of the TV.
I don´t think it´s noticeable really.

Like my screen is 2ms, some screens is 5ms.

To put that into perspective, it takes 200ms for your brain to recognize my facial expression if i were to stand in front of you looking happy or mad for example.

Takes 60ms for the gearbox in the 599GTO to change gears aswell ;)

Sorry Admin, wasn´t thinking about the multi-quote thing, won´t happen again!

Thanks for the suggestion 👍 I did a bit of researching myself and it does seem like the BenQ is an excellent gaming monitor. Fortunately my local Fry's has a couple in stock for $399, so I might try and head down there tonight to pick one up :)

Nice! :) Barely in your budget then, it´s specifically made for gaming developed with guys like Heaton and other Counter Strike Legends who demand serious screens and response times.
Just make sure that you lower the graphics until you get around 100fps (if possible) You will see how big of a difference it really makes.

And lower Brightness and Contrast to 50%, in the beginnind you will be like WTF but the eyes will adjust in the end.

Not trying to be a jerk dude, but 4 posts in a row? Might want to watch that in the future, highly frowned upon. 👍

Do you race in real life? I couldn't help but notice somebody else's post. If so what series? I run Skip Barber Formula series and have been running karts for 9 years. Moving to japan in a half year to race some series over there.

I know, that´s why i wrote this in the last one,

"Sorry Admin, wasn´t thinking about the multi-quote thing, won´t happen again!"

Just did my 35 lap test for the race at Okayama. 1:10's till the last 5 laps before pit stops I get into 1:09's. 1:08's at the end of the race. Strategy is 22Laps to 13 Laps.

I´ve been talking with some quick F1 drivers and they will not do a stop. Just 95L of fuel and go.
Can be worth thinking about since pitting here takes a long time.

Managed a 1.08.025 as PB with an Opt of 07.7 or something. Just have to trust the car more, you think it won´t stick but it will :)

If I didn't have a Driving Force pro and could have force feedback, 900 degree wheel rotation, and pressurized pedals I'm sure I could trust the car more. But I don't.

Press the space bar. Easy! :)

ah man, that simple!!?!??! hahaha ill check it out next replay :D

ah thanks man, yea about the commentary, would love to but acutally i'd rather be in the F1 league myself. What level do i need to be and can i join? But yea, would love to host the commentary :D

Leertaste. :) what is it, shift space?

I will watch you in the next days. :sly:

I´m running the Skipy event in the moment.

I just hooked the BENQ up today...and omg I can't believe the difference! 👍 My consistancy in iRacing (vs. with my old Vizio 42" TV) has dramatically improved (with the FW31) :dopey: Not only that, but within 5 laps I had already taken 2 tenths off my PB @ Okayama. Now I feel like the disconnect and input lag is completely eliminated, which allows me to keep the car on the knife edge without always feeling one step behind. Particularly corner entry and hitting apexes on a consistant basis is so much easier now, and so much more direct feeling (and much less frustrating lol)....not to mention that correcting slides is also a lot easier now.

Thanks again for suggesting this monitor :) And one last question - how do you ensure that the monitor/computer is running in 120hz?

F1 league will be free for all no matter license level Chris, but if you want to run the official one in iRacing it´s A class.

Here´s a 1.08.2 lap, messy as hell and i haven´t figured out the optimal settings for rendering video yet so excuse the ****** quality.

That's a pretty awsome track! Thank's for sharing dude, nice driving looked quite fast!

Ah great lap. Looks like i will need to purchase the F1 + couple of tracks.

Just let me know when you would like me to do a commentary :)

:) I´m glad you took the plunge and bought it, sick screen.
Have you done the brightness/contrast thing?

Also in the screen menu, look up Picture Advanced/ Picture mode/ FPS.

The screen can put out 120fps more or less, it´s not really the same thing but in general you can say that a 120Hz screen manages to show 120fps, 60Hz screen manages 60fps.

To check your FPS in game, when you are in pits press "F" then drive a full lap to see just how much it fluctuates.

It´s fast until you realise that the WR holder has done a 1.06.3 !!! :) I´m to slow.. :(

Chris

It´s a nice car that rewards you ten fold if you get it just right and is just on the edge ;) It´s one of the few cars that you really can´t do anything if you make a mistake, you will sit in the barrier in a split second :)

If we get this league going then i´ll let you know, would be cool to just have some commentary in the race highlight so we can put it up on youtube ;) We just need some more people to join.

Yeah, but Nieminen isn't human so that doesn't count. I did a 1:07.1 but no idea where i'm gonna find eight tenths, that is bloody ridiculous.... I'll upload my hotlap to youtube later on.

Well if anyone is even interested, I'm still taking requests for paint schemes on iRacing. I've now added the Corvette. Still not sure I even know what the hell I'm doing with the Indycar :nervous:
