I thought you were talking nonsense until I checked for myself. I never realized that DP's were that slow. No wonder Grand AM cancelled with DTM. DTM cars are WAY faster than a GTE car.

Hence the Daytona Prototurtle nick name...

Anybody doing the Grand Am in 8 minutes?

Purely there for SR so I can make B Road for Lotus 79 :D

I believe we do. I was running around with damage and all of a sudden out of nowhere bam! I was tossed into the wall to end up with more damage that could not be repaired. Watched the replay and it showed a puff of smoke at my RR and into the wall I went.

Interesting. I've never had anything like that happen.

Race went official, only 4 DP's but I got a overall gain of 0.83 SR which leaves me on 3.4ish so good for class B!

I don't feel like logging on my tablet to be able to see the link but, do you mind me asking what sort of lap times the McLaren field was running during the race? I am currently running 2:02.3's and am curious if that is a good race time. Seems like the practice sessions show a lot of differnet times being run.

Average time for the top finisher in McLaren was 2.03.757 but some ran faster laps in range you are. The next average was in 2.04's. Most drivers seem to have a fastest lap in 2.02-2.03.

Ok thanks! So, I guess my times are pretty good since I'm sitting on those low 2:02's with highest fuel levels. Maybe the car slows down a lot during the race though, who knows.

Forgive me if this has come up before, but why are the HDP's running below the yellow line around the bankings at Daytona? I suppose its faster, but is it legal?

In other news i finally got my router to work with iracing so i can race again, i hadnt been able to for the past few weeks while i moved.

Was looking forward to race today but I disconnected from the internet again. I called my ISP and they put the blame on my router. My lag went down but Now I can't connect to the internet all the time.

I am loving the trucks, had a bit of a crap race last night, literally half the race was under caution, but today, much better, only 3 cautions and some stunning racing throughout, even got 3 laps in the lead and led a restart which was exciting. So much fun.

My level of anger is at a new high. I can't believe I was making a pass for the lead with 2 laps to go and my internet disconnects. I have no words to express how pissed off I am. I guess I'm going to have to get rid of ADSL as soon as I can. I also am going to have to call my ISP and ask for a new modem. That is the only thing I have not done in the four months.

One guy in the race I was in yesterday said that iRacing responded that it is legal. One thing I noticed though is that most of the people who drove on the apron didn't gain any time on me driving on the banking. In some cases I even gained a tenth or two.

Matty you joining Grand-Am again in about 10 minutes? I need some SR.. I'll be starting my first race in the Mclaren.

I've been absolutely dying to get into a Grand-Am race but being in Japan, it seems like every time I try, it doesn't go official, even late at night. I'm going to try staying up late tonight to get into a race.

I usually do my iRacing in the morning. Like right now. The race I just joined went official.

I wish I could, but that's family time for me. Right now posting from my tablet sitting here on the couch holding my 3-month old daughter. Only time I get to race is late at night or on the rare occasion everyone else is napping but me.

I know the feeling. My 3 year old climbs into my rig when I am trying to race. She won' t take no for an answer! They are great at this age.

Kamui were you in that race? Thought I saw your car? That was pretty intense.

Rockingham? More power to you as I hate new set for there but congrats on leading.

Yep! You followed me for about the first half lap then, not really sure what happened. The start was pretty insane.

First time my teammate and I got a 1-2 finish. We decided to go over the finish line side by side. It was pretty cool.

I have to find pace in the Mclaren still, that was my first time racing it. It was a pretty intense race though, I'll take a top 5.
