Guys,

How can I know my total championship points for a course or season?

When I go to my career, I see my stats and points but at the last race I got the points to be marked on red. What do that mean? I read that they do not count but haven't really understood it all.

Thank you.

Go to the series you are running in, click on series stats, select your division, the class you are running in and it will tell you exactly how many points you have and where you stand.

Thanks man,

Got it! Much appreciated...

There's something I don't understand and would love to know,

I had 3 races so far with the Mazda in the Laguna Seca.

Got championship points during the races 32, 56, 33 when 32 and 33 are red, so they do now count?

What I don't understand is when I go to series stats and look for my total points, I see I have only 9 points,

So, how does this calculations works exactly?

Thank you guys!

It takes your best race out of 4. Since 56 is your best, the 33 and 32 point races don't count. If you race a 4th race and do better than 56, then that score will count and the 56 will turn red. If you were to race between 5 and 8 races total, it would take your 2 best races and average them.

As far as only have 9 points so far, the series points/rankings don't update immediately. I'm actually not sure when they update.

At least, that's how I think it works.

Thanks, I hope I got it...

As for the 9 I think I just checked some specific column or something and not total because in total I see the 52 points (and like you said the 32 and 33 are not counted there as they are red).

I think I'll get the hang of it in time, thanks for your help man!

I just got a g27 today and it seems like I don't have to use the clutch at all when shifting. I have auto cluth off and only auto-blipping turned on. I've tried with both the MX5 Cup and the SCCA.

Is the clutch reduntant in iRacing or what?

You can still use the clutch with auto blip on. Just have to calibrate it. Only road cars I really drive are the Mclaren, HPD and F1 so you can use no clutch aids at all and can up and downshift without the clutch. Oval cars I use auto blip, but I still have the clutch working to get out of the pits faster.

Anybody else really looking forward to the Kia or us it just me? I can't wait to drive that and the hopefully race the Cadillac in a series that actually had people racing, I love the Caddy but nobody drives it.

I actually prefer the auto clutch and to use only the shifters on the back of the G27 wheel, makes me change gears a lot faster than using the H stick.

The problem is that the auto clutch is slower. I'm currently practising my shifting with clutch and I'm getting there. It's a lot of fun.

I am, after checking over the schedule several times, the only series that I'll be able to complete 8 of the races needed to earn credits (without buying more tracks) is the Cadillac/KIA series as I'm away on holiday during weeks 4 and 5.

FF with 400bhp should be fun!

I'm pretty excited, I'll most likely be purchasing it. 👍

As someone who always used the paddle shifters playing GT5, making the transition to the h-pattern with the clutch was surprisingly easy. Though I'm still prone to missing the odd shift, grinding the gearbox, or shifting into the wrong gear (like last night, I went into 1st instead of 3rd going into the corkscrew which made ne spin and cost me 2nd).

I am! Been waiting for a real FWD touring car for a looooong time to come to iRacing!
I was pretty sure it was semi auto, but was kinda hoping for full manual.

Oh well.
Yeah, unfourtunately the days of the manual H pattern trannys on World Challenge Touring(what became GT-S) are long gone since 2004 when they allowed the Mazda 6s to run sequential gearboxes...

Also posted in the iRacing Paint Scheme thread.

Here's the sponsor and color adjustments that I will have for next season. The Livery is not decided until I get the paint-able rear wing template.

Real Life Sponsors added to this machine. (Plan Z, Puma Asia, Oktane, Go Designs, With You Japan, and SMR)

Your sponsors actually came on board or you just thought it would be neat to put them on there? Either way that looks really cool, even though I thought the pink from before looked very nice.

Your McLaren looks good, Kamuifanboy, I take it as you applied your F3(?) sponsors to the mclaren but not sponsoring you for iRacing?

Sponsors that I have in my real life racing. Makes sense to use them in iRacing I think lol.

They do not sponsor me in iRacing. Only real life.
