Getting really disappointed with the low turnout in the Grand Am races :(

I feel your pain Clark. i want to run v8 super car, but i know attendance their isnt great. the "alms" like series has very bad attendance as well. that's why i turned into an oval guy. pretty much always great over their with alot of great drivers.

Good grief, what in their right mind possessed them to stick Laguna Seca in the Grand Prix Series calender. It looks like my first drop week may come earlier than I expected as Laguna is the 1st round of the season.

I don't understand how can we put Laguna Seca on a F1 Schedule...

I don't understand the problem.

Well Laguna has killer curbs even for the MX5 which has quite high ride height. The FW31 is practically sitting on the ground. Also the Corkscrew. Now a Formula 1 car would struggle going down there at full race pace, with a full racing setup due to its height once again. Basically the car is going to either be slow and uncompetitive and will sway like a boat, or will scrape the floor on several turns making the car understeer and oversteer constantly.

The attendance for Grand Am has been really good up until this week. I don't really get it. It seems like all the series have taken hits this week.

Aussies usually have good participation at both of these but only a couple of sessions each week. Grand Am is Thursday nights (around midday GMT?) and for the V8s , try Sunday and Monday around the same time , midday - early afternoon GMT. Mondays usually get 2 splits , sometimes 3.

We were just discussing low participation. Just did a race with the most participation I've seen all week (17). Lets just say the level was not very high as myself and the DP winner were about 10 seconds from lapping second place.

Well I got a good race in an then balls up yesterday. Had a spin and was 10s from 2nd (DPs). Caught up to l him quickly and without 20 mins to go I was getting ready to pass and I spun on the uphill left gander after the esses. Race ending damage from what was incident free apart from my previous spin, I'd really go into a rhythm.

Out all day at the BTCC so won't be able to get in any of the high participation races like you guys mentioned :( oh well always next season.

The last day of week 12. :)

Did Gt challange last night. Had no idea Corvette was so much faster than Mclaren. Probably more me than car. I was in Mclaren and was happy to improve SR. Finished at the vack. Curious to know how many hours a week people do Iracing? Practice(

The Corvette is an old GT1 class car, so it's by far the fastest. The Ford GT is a GT2 class car and the Mclaren a GT3. Depending on the driver they run around the same lap times, usually with the Mclaren edging out the Ford just a bit.

I think some of you may enjoy this, Tommy is one of my driving heroes so I really enjoyed his perspective.

Been spun out/failed to avoid accidents in front of me for like 4 straight races today. It would be nice if people could calm down a little when racing. Seriously bad day.

Anyone interested in having a few practice laps roadside, haven't played in a while so trying to get back into it. Any series is good.

Week 13 coming up. Sounds like a crash fest in some of the fun series, gen6 cars running with the street stocks and a road series featuring 5 different road cars! Madness.

It's been a while since I've done any week 13 stuff. It doesn't count towards your SR or iRating does it?
