👍 Glad Ir is getting some more realism in the game. Hopefully, a debris/fluid model will come soonLook closely, they're labeled "flat spot, dirt pickup, grass pickup"...
I don't see those things being implemented in the near future... We will probably see the switch over to DX11 first as well as full weather and Day/Night transitions before those things are even considered.👍 Glad Ir is getting some more realism in the game. Those factors/values are already functional on iRacing, we just don't have access to them. Last year it leaked that there is indeed rain and AI on iRacing but it is limited to commercial/professional and beta testers use, we just don't have access to them yet and there's been no confirmation that we ever will(for AI, rain has been confirmed to be in the works for a long long time). The beauty of iRacing is that rain will actually simulate the proper weather patterns of each track, you'll see rain in one section of Spa while the rest of the track will be dry or drying as well as you'll see the typical rivers flowing across the track just like in real life. It may seem like a huge project but thankfully iRacing is well organized on how they use their resources and every project has a dedicated team working on it.Yeah, I would really like racing in the rain. And time change too! It'll probably take a while to implement them though since adding those in are a lot more work than adding cars or tracks. You have to code it so it can work well for a track, have the tires behave like it's spinning on water...
I'm going to get online here soon. Let me know if you want my tune for the Glen. I'm consistent low 40sWell ive defiantly found the pace with the dp but not the consistency at watkins getting a 1.40.9 but i had a 1.40.5 had i not have spun on the last corner.

I totally agree. It takes the God setup factor out of the race. I generally try to get a balanced setup and fine tune, but there are some people that can fine tune down to perfection with the certain weather conditions, and they get away with it because the weather is static for that week. I simply don't have the time(or want to spend that much time if I had it) practicing a video game to get the perfect tune each week. I can; however, get a stable setup with the time I do have. Then, I can be more competitiveThe real question is, how much more powerful of a computer will we need for this. I have a pretty darn good computer but, even I struggle to get a steady 60fps on some of the newer tracks and newer cars. The spray, rain fall, and dynamic changes to the circuit will surely make that even more computer power needed.
I personally don't see them implementing rain conditions in official series but, I could definitely see it being something used as a league or hosted session tool. Too many members would complain that having unpredictable session weather in official sessions. I'd personally like it because it would require people to make much more conservative setups. With the weather being set, we can setup the car to be best in that condition. We can run a much more aggressive setting on the car because we know what the car will do every lap. But, once we get wind, temperature and air density changes during a race, we would have to switch to a safer more predictable setup. Which is realistic to what is done in real life.
Andrew BakkeThis time, it's Alessandro Balzan
http://sportscar365.com/imsa/tusc/continental-tire-imsa-driver-spotlight-alessandro-balzan/How do you prepare for a track like Sebring, when you’ve never been there?
“I do some simulation work – I use iRacing because it’s very good – and I get some tips from the drivers. Last year we had some drivers that really helped me when Jeff Westphal didn’t know this track but I talked a little bit with the guys and you can find on YouTube, a lot of on-board video and believe me, that helps me a lot. Just for the first lap, to have an idea of what to expect on the track.
I was in your race, in a Rufcan i have it please? my user name is richard hollyday
what's your name? i might remember youI was in your race, in a Ruf
I also remember you from one of my Daytona 2.4 races lol.

Qualify, you're better off gaining the experience and learning spin patterns. So far I'm 2/2 for involvement in 'the big one' in oval racing. Some people can't seem to be able to hold their line. Guess I'm gonna be starting from the pits until I'm out of the rookie.
I did. It's the leading group of rookies that's causing problems for me.Qualify, you're better off gaining the experience and learning spin patterns.
I made it to C class with out racing late models or national impala. I got my D licence and then continued racing rookie street stocks and legends until i got to 4.0SR and then started with the trucks and the open set street stocks. To fast track to c class in oval I have to buy and run at least 4 times the late model or national impala (I think) and 4.0?
