Its more than likely my setup but forest's elbow my car just does not want to turn in at all, the tires turn into gatorade bottle caps.

Me too. That's where a great lap can easily become an average one for me. I have found slow in , fast out gives consistent results and the best possible run onto Conrod straight. I qualied with a 2.05.3 , almost a second off my PB but I put that down to the weather. Race laps are mostly in the 2.06s but they are low stress , very safe laps.
I've done 2 races so far , 4th (2 inc) and a 2nd tonight (with zero inc) Sitting on A 4.97 SR right now.

On a positive I won my first GT3 race last night!

Ive yet to do a race yet but im down to a 2.03.4 with an opt of a 2.03.0 so i think im ready to qually and do 2 or 3 races. Also managed to practice with Shaun Cole last night for a few laps and he is a little faster than i thought he was.

My iRating has gone from a 2500 to a 2740 this week... Gonna be nice to look at while it lasts!

Bathrust is so frustrating, so rewarding when you get it right, annoying when you mess it up.. But god I love it. Still struggling a bit, you guys are about 2 seconds faster than I am right now, I think I found a proper setup now though so hopefully I can get up with you guys.

Clutched out a top 5 in gt3 at noon today. Snuck into the 2:03.9's but can only do it when im not trying to.

But I am having a blast either way

It works fine. The only problem was that my g27 profiler broke and I had to reinstall it.

Well first race didnt go so well. Got into a pretty high SOF race and running 4th until on lap 10 i got loose starting to come down the mountain and binned it into the wall.

That's happened to me a couple times this week too. Always seems to happen right as you're about to just get into a mindset of "yeah those guys are gone... Let's hang out here and see if I can't put a gap behind me"

I've had 8.1 for a while. Never noticed any difference as far as iRacing goes.

The USB on my Clubsports started acting funny, though, but It's an easy fix.

He had just pass me on the first straight then spun into the inside wall on that blue falken hairpin at the bottom of the hill. the guy in front of him was slow and got loose too but he saved it and that's what caused it I think. I saw you up there and I was like YA BOI! I was running fifth but I caught some grass on the downhill chicane and when into the first tight turn wall. came back to 12th and ran a 2:03.4

Damn! I really wanted to race at Bathurst this week but never really got a chance to get a race in, was actually gonna use the McLaren as I was actually faster in it than the BMW and I'm getting tired of seein BMWs all the time...

I'm down 400 road Ir this season alone because of GT3. Just this week I'm down 100 in 2 starts. Car 10 running 4th with not much time left. BMW in front of me goes wide in the turn before the downhill part. I go by. He tries to dive bomb on the first downhill corner under the bridge. Subsequently sends me tumbling down the mountain as well as himself. Proceeds to blame me for ruining his race...

Next race I'm car 20 running 10th and closing on 9th and 8th. Disconnect. Lose 4 laps

I used Tapani's setup and man you could throw that thing around and it would grip but the car was awfully slow in forest's elbow, just had no turn in whatsoever. But managed to get a 2.03.2 in qually trim which i was extremely proud of, Bathurst though has been the only week in GT3 so far that i have been truly competitive at.

Im amazed anybody has even tried to pass on the mountain since that is certain death, only part i ever saw any passes was from the chase to T2 then everyone formed a line and waited till the back straight.

I tried Soto's Quali set and it was quite easy to drive but, the time did not seem to come so, I then tried Tapani's and it was a different feeling but, much the same type of set. I was too comfortable driving it and it caused me to push too hard maybe.
