Yup! It was you, we ran together in one race and I can tell you are a good clean driver by the way you reacted after the spin. I was the light blue car, you spun right before pit entry as I was behind and we rubed. Then you texted "Sorry" at the end of the race you texted 'Not a very clean race for me". You are right some of the back markers on that race were loonies! You were very courteous when we were lapping by, I am very much looking forward to runing with you again man, you are a clean good driver just having bad luck. Try starting from the back or letting everyone trough at the start, that way you'll identify the loonies on turn 1 and will know how and who to race.
Oh so that was you. If I knew it was you I would have raced even cleaner :ouch:. I replayed that moment too and realised after the race that I was on the racing line and instead of saving my own bacon from the wall I should have just rolled into it to get off the track. Instead I locked the brakes (on purpose) to keep heading in a predictable direction. Ahh well. Are you Australian? I generally only get in races with Aus/ NZ players.

But does anyone know why sometimes the champ. points are highlighted in red and sometimes normal?

Example: If a driver competes in five official races in the Skip Barber Series in a given week, the driver’s best three race-point totals are averaged and those points go towards the driver’s season championship points total.

das sind die streichergebnisse. :)

Not really, I'm in Florida. It's just my schedule is kind of weird and my connect time is 1-3 am over here.

I just had a horrible race in the skippys, there was a spinout in the first lap and after avoiding it and trying to get back on track I did not see the person behind me, we collided and I got a 1x about 2 2x and a 4x. Later in the race I spun out and got another 4x, not my lucky day.

Oh ok, thats an interesting schedule you have there .

Lol!! Yeah I get out of class at midnight so I don't go to bed till like 3am...
I'll be on tonight, still undecided on wether I should go with the Skippy or the Mustang, only need 4 races on a class D car to fast track it all they way to C!

I'll be buying dirt 3 today so chances are that I won't be playing iRacing tonight :/.

I'll probably be doing 40lap at a time at Lanier tonight. I just did a race there and the first 10-15laps were rather exciting... until I layed the hammer down! I did have 2 car contacts and one slight brush of the wall, so I got +0.04sr for my win.

question....if you enter a race and someone ****s up your race and forces you to retire, can you go back into the race as a ghost?

You can't, I think the only way you can race as a ghost is in races you are spectating

Hmm, but isn't there a way, if you retire, to go back into the same race *as* a spectator, and then proceed to race as a ghost?

hmm, so im checking my MPR as i type this and it says i need 4 more races or 4 more time trials, my SR is above 3.0 but im not ready for promotion.
Did 5 races and 1 time trial and still nothing... my SR is 3.73 class D

where am i failing?

Chris

You must do now D Class races, not Rookie anymore. :)
Mustang Challenge
Grand Touring Cup
or the Skipy Event.

You can also race to D 4.0 and then drive some of the C licence events (which are allowed for D 4.0 drivers), which would allow you to technically move to B licence from D with the same car, if that is your aim of course.

Otherwise, the Mustang is awesome fun.

Thank you for the hint you guys are awsome!! The Mustang is what I'm racing at the moment and my God am I slow!! At least the racing is clean and fun!
Gonna do exactly what you say dude! Aiming for that B license now!!

noob question perhaps- how long will that indy 500 race take this weekend? 25 laps already seem like alot. I cant imagine how long the rookie indy 500 will take...

nevermind i see its 200 laps!

I want to race with you in those mustangs! But dang $100 for everything in that series:scared::scared:

Well boys, I'm off to go to the Indy 500 and speaking with Sato. Hopefully i get to watch some Indy lights racing and indy practice.

Does anyone know if that Indy Oval will remain available in rookie after Indy 500 event this Saturday? I don't wanna spend $24 for the oval + car and it all goes away after Sunday. I was thinking of just jumping to that Indy dallara and giving it a try

It can really add up, I'm buying the tracks per week instead of just buying them at once. I think I'll just get to the B license in the Mustang and do the Grand Am series instead of the Thrustmasters cup

If you buy them per weekend and end up buying them all it will be more expensive. If you plan on buying them alll then you might ass well buy them all at once. The benefit is that you wil already have those tracks for all the other series. What I do is get my 4 races done with the trackthat's on at the moment, and I only buy that once and just race at the series that has the track that I have. With time you buy tracks depending on the time and money you have. You have no obligation to buy all of the tracks for the series.

The track and car you'll be able to use in non sanctioned races and test mode. P
I don't think they'll use Indy for any rookie races since the track isn't included in the basic membership.

I just bought the track for the week. then if i raised my SR i´d just move up another class to see what they got.

If you have a job, it´s very hard to run every week in a series imo.

Yea I would assume it would be hard to run every week if you had a job. Right now I still have to get off my lazy butt and start applying to jobs so I can start working towards that 350Z I want to get for cruising next summer! :D I think what I might end up doing with this since it's way to irresistible to pass up is to get the tracks that are common with the mustang and run them to get SR high enough to get a C License to be able to drive in the GRAND-AM. That's really the only series I see myself wanting to drive besides the Corvette one.

That's what I'm saying, just buy what you can according to the funds and time you have, buying the whole series of tracks is not obligatory

Yea but if you have a job, buying a track or car doesn´t seem that much aswell so i guess it goes both ways ;)
I see 350Z huh? :) Fine cars that, i just wish they would take the interior och the 370Z and stick it in the 350Z which in my opinion lookes 10 times better on the outside then 370. Either way, hope you get mate!

True, i was so drunk last night i did not even notice it ;) My bad.

Will anyone do some races this week in the FW31 in Spa?

Glad to see there are so many racers here playing iRacing XD
