Anybody want to do the 05:00 GMT Grand-Am@Road America? I'm thinking about trying my first race in the DP not quite sure though..

MTB, sorry man not ready for that race yet! I need about an hour of practice on the DP on that track to go race, I'll just kill my SR if I go in!

It's cool I didn't make it either I had to go lock my chickens up cause my dad saw some rats and he wouldn't do it :|.
 
Supposedly today, the New Tire Model is coming. Have any of you guys updated to it yet?
 
Hate logitech rather use an iphone as a steering wheel holy...

EDIT: Forgot to calibrate the pedals because you know losing internet uncalibrates them haha. So my brake was really wonky and some guy ended up rear ending me

I guess no idea but it's definitely not uncommon for the pedals to lose calibration. It's annoy sometimes having to calibrate them almost everytime I launch iRacing. Anyway you wanna practice Grand-Am for awhile now?
 
Tonight is the first time I blow an engine lol. I passed from the 5th to 2nd gear intead of the 4th, and then POUFF... :ouch: by chance, it was an unofficial race, haha
 
Got mah D's :p! Shame I cant race any of the new stuff till I can buy it next month, sigh.

Sorry, I'm a little confused here! Is this is a standard iRacing membership, or is it some special partial membership that only grants access to leagues? I have been really interested in iRacing for some time now, but I finally got a wheel and have been putting off signing up hoping for a good deal (which this seems to be) but I don't want to accidentally buy a limited membership and have to pay again to upgrade it :scared:

I only ask because the iRacing website has a similar deal on a year membership, but it is $69, not $49? Why would they not offer the same price in both places?

There isn´t two sides of iRacing, one official and one league site.
Very strange that they would write like that because there is nothing that says you can´t join official races.
I think it´s just there because they want people who are running other leagues to come over and get a nice discount.
I personally would just press buy. It´s just a trick.
It´s stupid cheap to not take it imo.

EDIT: i´ve sent them an Email asking them to clear things up. they sure love to twist words over at iRacing.

Thank you for your earlier post Hampus! I just went over to iRacing and signed up for the $49 for one year. Everything looks all set. It tells me I have full access to all the normal iRacing stuff as well. Now I just have to see if my laptop will run it, or if I will be buying a dedicated desktop.

I don't have time to set it up, but everything looks golden as far as the $49 deal goes. Thanks again for posting the link... and I look forward to seeing some of you on iRacing soon.

Guys, at 20.00 GMT iRacing will be up again and the new Nationwide car will be available with the new tire model.
If you want a nice comparison and you have the Impala B right now you can do some laps at Road America with the fixed setup. Then when the new one arrives you can really notice all the differences.

Can you like, translate that to Normal Clock terms because I do not understand that :lol:
 
Why is it always Americans who have trouble with GMT? :)

Easy way to check is this, open google, write your city and GMT after it.
Click on first link and see how many hours plus or minus your city is compared to GMT.
Or UTC which is the proper name to use now.

So as you can see, 20.00GMT for me is +2 hours or 22.00/10pm today.

Its not the GMT that I'm having trouble with, its the "22:00" denotation before GMT(hence why I specifically bolded that portion). I don't know what the hell time that is :p

Oh sorry about that, but i still say what i said :P

24H clocks is the most commonly used time notation in the world.
Here are some info and to the right you can see how it works compared to a 12 hour clock.

It is indeed very anoying!! having to calibrate everything just when warm up is getting started! I hate it!
 
Well I just did my first Grand-Am in the DP. I got around 27 minutes in and I guess gave it too much gas around turn 6 (god I hate that corner) and spun into the wall and it was too much damage to repair oh well who needs safety rating anyway. I was getting pretty mad I was stuck behind the slowest driver ever and lost concentration for a split second. Too bad I didn't save the goddamn replay I almost lost it three times I think? I raged out after the lolipop guy told me he couldn't use his wizard powers :(.
