Played four races in NVIDIA Cup last night and the last one was a win from pole position. I was so excited to get .64 SR from the race(I just signed up Sat. so trying to build up SR).

I'm loving iRacing. Just sucks though playing on a 15 in. moniter(Alienware m15x laptop). I'm used to GT5 on the 60 in. screen.

I'm sure that 60 in has a HDMI port :) Just get an hdmi to hdmi, that's what I'm doing :)

That's genius! Really can't believe I didn't notice that. Can't wait till I get off work now.

lol, that's what i'm doing with my 47". My laptop sits right next to my tv.

I know I've only played this a few times (loving it), but the layout before a race/practice/tt seems confusing. I'm having hard time figuring out the layout. I'll just keep messing around on the site

What do you mean? Just enter the session you want to take part on, after you're done if the session hasn't officially ended make sure you withdraw from it so you can enter any other session you want to.

V8 Supercar Online Series still going strong for the Aussies on iRacing.

Latest article on inracingnews from last night's race:

I was lucky enough to grab the win, really hoping I can take the championship. It'd be a first for me.

And wow, is it just me or have A LOT of people bought iRacing from GTPlanet! Didn't know this many people had it! It's fantastic to see. 👍

Yeah! We definitely need to get a MX5 series going!

Alright so I get home from work and to my surprise the Alienware m15x laptop doesn't have a hdmi port. It does however have a display video port which is a port where a display video adapter plugs in and then a hdmi cable from that to the tv. What the 🤬. A $2300 "gaming" laptop doesn't have a hdmi port.:banghead:

Anyways, I ordered the adapter(only $20) and will be playing iRacing in 60 in. of greatness by the weekend.👍

Tha really really sucks man, hope your adapter gets there soon!
On a diferent note, I'm so glad the Nvidia Cup is back at Okayama! I love Limerock, but it is so easy to find trouble in that track, Okayama=wide=safe=good SR=somewhat good racing!

Pretty happy with myself. Ran my first completely clean race today. Granted it was on an oval in Lanier in the Legends cars, and Lanier is so wide you'd have to try to be in the way, but I'm happy nonetheless. First race there and a clean one all around was fun.

Awwww 🤬!!!!! God damn it, I needed .09 to get to 4.0 rookie but now I am on a track I haven't raced in a month with people that are new to the track. I am going to be so careful :P I also need to set a qualifying time which is opportunity to get that SR up.

I know I can do time trial but I find it really boring so I am giving that a pass.

You'll get it! Just make sure to throw a good qualifying time that will get you a solid grid spot and you'll breeze trough!

One thing I hate about qualifying is that you have to wait 30 mins for it to finish and count your time. I just want to set my 8 laps without missing the next race, thats why I put it off.

Wow, just wow. I went into the race, had a far chunk of incidents, mainly off track and a slight tap on some guys rear end after he came back on track infront of me but the one that takes the cake was a whooper.

I was slowly bringing my times up, I dont let people a lap infront of me pass if they are not within about .5ish of a second, nor do I let them infront if I am down positions cause of a spin or something. This is because my position does not dictate the speed at which I am running the race, I may very well be pulling equal or faster lap times than the person a lap infront of me.

This guy in the race I came out of was behind me, in 3rd I think and I was pulling equal times when I spin in the second corner on the gear 2 downshift. I do the usual, be predictable for the guy behind and lock my brakes so he knows where I am going. He had around a .7 margin to slow up more, go around and avoid an incident. But no, straight into me (no hard feelings, I did lock up infront of him) but then he proceeds to call me a noob, starts hating and being an ass about why I 'blocked him from overtaking'. I then argued that any other racer in the room like the guy in 1st can point out that I let them pass when they get close enough. He went on and on about it, and this is a guy who I was racing with just last night. We were having a good time last night so I find it disgusting that he can go and accuse me of all this crap when he knows that I am a good racer from previous racers.

Not to mention this guy is a Class D racing in rookie races, which is fine but to complain about rookies making mistakes, thats steep. In the end I told him, "You choose to race rookie races, rookies are learning, rookies make mistakes, I am learning, I made a mistake, accidents happen, so be it, I hope our next race is better".

The end results for me are not great, SR went down -.16 but I am fine with it, I was going in with only a few laps practice.

Way to take the high road dude:tup:

As for me, I'll be sticking to TT's for a bit on the Okayama circuit. I don't know if that track is going left, right, up, down:lol:

Once you've done your laps you can 'withdraw' from the session. The 8 laps you've done count.

2 races later and my SR is back up to 3.98, and I am pulling good consistent times on Okayama. Boo yaa :).

Well said man! That should've shut him up and shows you are a good racer!
You are almost there man! Just about to break trough!

that would be fun 👍

How do I know which races I have done and which ones I have not? (like on a console, arcade racer,) they have the whole layout of what races there are and which ones you have done, does Iracing have this? Going to take some time to get used to it.

I am getting better with heel-toe, but I need to make another stand where the pedals are bolted down (and I would like to invert them)

I am getting better with heel-toe,

Yeah man, same as me. Last week it looks almost impossible to achieve but now i enjoyed it ALOT... and even if i'm a bit slower, i really can see the difference. It's just a matter of time before it feels completely natural.

nice, The funny thing is I don't remember if I ever done it in my cars (real life). I might have, being in the moment on back roads, but I really can not remember lol.

the only problem I have is I hit the brake a little more then I want to, and I blame that more on the the pedals just laying on the floor and not hard mounted. I have to do something with the pedals

nooooo they already switch from Lime Rock???? :ouch:

Yeppers they sure did.... Man i hope that iRacing 2.0 helps me improve tomorrow

2.0 is only for the new nationwide car, iirc. the other cars wont get upgraded till august (when my subscription expires :( )

Probably the best deal you will ever get from iRacing if your not a member today.

1 year - $49 !!!!! That´s $4.08 a month!
If your thinking about iRacing, this is the time to hit the buy button for sure.

Sorry, I'm a little confused here! Is this is a standard iRacing membership, or is it some special partial membership that only grants access to leagues? I have been really interested in iRacing for some time now, but I finally got a wheel and have been putting off signing up hoping for a good deal (which this seems to be) but I don't want to accidentally buy a limited membership and have to pay again to upgrade it :scared:

I only ask because the iRacing website has a similar deal on a year membership, but it is $69, not $49? Why would they not offer the same price in both places?
