The graphics are fine on low, I experimented with it for a while the other day.

I run an older pc, maybe 3 or 4 years old with parts that might have been 1 or 2 years old by then so I can't run everything on high effectively. I can run it on highest but the fps drops to 50 with 1/2 second lockups just randomly and that's not what you want in a full pack. It will fluxuate, getting 60 or 70 fps with less cars.

While that sounds like a smooth number, the higher settings make the loading times 3-4 mins instead of 1-2, so I run mostly minimal graphics to get 120 fps with less lockups, less screen tear etc. It think the game runs 720p resolution instead of the monitors and computers natural resolution of 1080p.

Kind of a random post but I'm just saying the game runs well on an older pc with the right settings. I can post specs later if you want.

same here, i run iracing on my 4 year old acer aspire that was back in the day a rather awesome high end laptop but i can run iracing in 1920*1080 on low with 60fps or so.

Does the job, for the replay i max out the graphics since its ok there

Lee Suk Man, ths clown took me out twice tonight! Both times I was leading the race!
On the 1AM EST race he took me out with a stupid dive bomb attempt on turn 2. On the 2AM EST race He was 3 laps down with me leading by 15 seconds and thi moron comes out of the pits 4 laps down, takes a lapped car(who is still 3 laps in front of him) out with the same dumb move and the next lap plainly drives me off the road!

I need to figure out how to get my voice chat going. I was practicing that Legends Ovals last night. I think some vet thought I was being a prick or something cause I accidently blocked him (funny why are vets driving around in rookie anyways he was complaing though he just lost 200 SR or something so hes bumped back down to rookie). I wish iRacing UI had some sort of voice chat tester where it shows how strong your voice volume is. How come they dont add stuff like to the UI? I guess I'll go into windows and make sure my mic is working proper

Yes I am class C, But I do love the MX5 wich can be a lot of fun to race with the right people, this character was no rookie either her was D 3.59 at that moment, how did he got there is byond me.
You need to get to 4.0 to be automatically promoted in any license level. Voice chat I just don't use it and have it off during the race, so I don't bother anyone and no one bothers me during a race.

At 3.0 you will be able to run a few of the D series such as the Street Stocks, but to get an actual instant promotion you need to hit 4.0 as Jav has mentioned.

I found the street stocks to be a lot of fun, and the racing is usually pretty clean. They don't spin out super easy like a legends car.

That brings me to the question, I am D license 3.3 or so but the street stocks are STILL apparently 'license inelligable'. The were like that when I hit rookie 3.0 and still havent unlocked for D license, its annoying because it looks like a good free oval racing season .

I just looked you up. You're D-3.29 on your road license, but only R-2.37 on your oval license.

I'll admit, I know next to nothing when it comes to computer specs. But, a friend told me this sucker will run iRacing at full capacity with ease. Looking at it, would you guys say he's accurate?

I don't know for sure how well it would run at max settings, but you should be able to play comfortably with things pretty high on that machine.

If you want to wait for the new tire model you should wait probably a half year. It took them a month or two after the date for just one tire model. They say they will have the rest by august but I highly doubt that.

Got my display video adapter and iRacing is sooooo much better on 60 in.

I finally played around with graphics settings last night and the recommended settings from iRacing was not even coming close to the power of my laptop(Alienware m15x). I custom set all the settings to low with shadows off and it was running around 250 to 270fps. I maxed all the settings and I still get 60 to 80fps. iRacing looks great with settings at the max.

Looking to buy a couple cars and tracks. Does anybody have any suggestions? I'm rookie 3.90 road and rookie 3.45 oval as of now and will be getting promotion in a few days. Going to try and raise both those SR ratings some more before promotion day.

Ok, the craziest thing to date happened to me last night on the Nvidia Cup, Started 4 and worked my way to 2nd, was having a great race for the lead with this guy, no contact no nothing, pure clean racing. I got him going into turn 1 as he got a bad last turn, next lap I got a slow last turn and he gets side by side so I conceed the lead with no fight, 3 laps later I miss my braking and tap him spining him arround. I feel auful, I don't move to let him stay in front. But no! The guy goes crazy!! He starts ramming my car! I mean ramming reversing and hitting me! Crashing me into the wall! I feel bad and don't know what to do. Finally he gets going again so I go on, but he wasn't over, now he's stepping in the brakes every time I come near, trying to hit me, running me off. This goes on for a lap till I finally pit and get out. I didn't know what to do, I appologized to the guy but he was ranting like crazy. So I say sorry one last time and left, should've saved the replay but I didn't.
This Psycho costed me .34SR from his crazy psychotic behavior.
Thing is I've raced with the guy many times before and never had a single incident up to now.
Should I try to get the replay and repot him?

Definitely go for the Mustang, then the Falcon, then the Riley DP, and then the Vette. Or you can go the open wheel route and buy the Skippy, then the Star Mazda, then the Dallara and eventually the F1.

I was definitely going to get the Mustangs. I'm not much of a open wheel guy except for F1. I'll have to wait and see where I end up after promotion. That will also factor into purchase a little bit.

From what I've been told, the skippy's are a must have That'll be my next purchase. One thing to keep an eye on is that the tracks are more needed for those series so buying a bunch of cars at once may not be the best financial decision.
I've got a asus g73 laptop and I'm with you running maxed settings at 80 or so fps. IT's fantastic
