In racing, you got to be overtaken before you can overtake :sly: I suppose you've about had enough of being overtaken :lol:
 
If anyone is looking for any sick NASCAR paint schemes, I highly recommend checking out Mason Baker. He adds several cars a week, with none falling short of incredible. He also does requests.

Whoa!! Those pics look awsome!! Can't wait for it to get here! I already have 1 carbon fiber skin for the Honda and 2 skins for the Ford!! Can't wait!!

I reconize alot of his work, primerily his Gamestop cars. What I'm struggling to grasp is how the hell did he manage to put numbers on some of the cars? I thought the sim usually covered over those numbers with that members rank number.

I have no idea how he does it. They do give you numbers. Unless there's a Joey Logano-type font. I haven't noticed.
 
Numbers you can choose yourself if you want. But if you enter a session with the same number as another person it goes by who has the best iRating. If that´s the same then SR then Corners Per Incident.

Here's what I'm getting at with this: Supposedly, the sim gives you a number and a set of fonts & colors and depending on you irating, it looks like this:

This guy (and seemingly many others) somehow are able to paint thier cars with the number already on them and upload in the game as is regardless of irating, like this:

No, the number you are given is random unless you choose what number you want.
You can change that number in the iracing built-in paint section.

But if you end up with the same number as a person in the session it will count out which one of you gets the number.

Custom numbers might work in "test" session but not in race. There is no limit that you have to reach to create your own number plate etc. Same for all.

This is likely to be the case, the photos are taken in test car mode, rather than practice/quali/race, etc...
 
I've just fount a new adiction! The Star Mazda, I am in love with this thing!! The races are alway full and is great fun racing, everyone is very respectfull and clean(exept for 1 moron), awsome series!

Once I promote to Class C at the end of S2 I shall be racing these bad boys also. They look super fun!
 
what are the best road tracks on this game?

right now I'm in the miata races, but I wanted to know what are some of the must race tracks?

Spa obviously, Silverstone is pretty good but it takes time to get up to speed.

Spa flows really nicely so if you know where the course goes then it's very easy to get up to speed on.

1) Spa
2) WatkinsGlenn
3) Road Atlanta
4) Road America
5) Mid Ohio
6) VIR
7) Silverstone

Don't you get Laguna with your subscription? I did...
 
Wow, my previous race sucked!

This is a video of the opening lap, I got stuck being a snail driver and my frustration boiled, might have gotten the better of my senses.


And this was later on, this guy was in last position, I overtook him, and then on the next lap out of nowhere he decides to fill my mirror up with his front end resulting in the biggest dive I have ever seen in my iRacing career...
 
I just did another race, started in 7th, made it to 1st in the second lap. I stayed there all the way up to lap 22 where the computer locked up for a few seconds, I found myself in a wall. I then limped 2 more laps in 1st place, lost 20 whole seconds on the guy in second, finished second overall.

I really need a new computer, thats a real kick in the balls.
