Two question:
Does anyone here have the Impala 2009 car (The old Nationwide car, not the new COT) and does anyone have an AIM account?
I have the nationwide cars. You get both the old one and the new cot when you buy the nationwide car. I've only driven the old one a couple times. Just once since the NTM and it's much better just haven't had the time to race it or drive it much. I ran the new cot car in the last oval league I was in for 10 out of a 12 week season so I have a little time in that one.
Eric.I think the problem is that they don't have a clutch so they wait to hit the throttle when the light turns green. Have had the same happen in GT Challenge once
RACECARDo you have AIM? I have some painted cars I'd like to send you so you can get pictures and send directly to me. Getting abit annoying sending them via links or that very tricky trading paints program.
Press print screen and copy to your paint program but only when the window isn't full screen
I love the added skill necessary for standing starts in some series, especially the faster cars where you can easily gain a position or two before T1...But I wish we could protest drivers who start so poorly that the field has to try make an emergency lane change maneuver. Has happened in my two most recent Cadillac races. Really sucks when the car in question is 2 rows ahead of you on the grid, so the car between you is able to react in time to just go around, but you're going 70mph towards a 25mph car. You either rear end, get rear ended (from braking), or otherwise get ran over trying to swerve around it. I think the problem is that they don't have a clutch so they wait to hit the throttle when the light turns green. Have had the same happen in GT Challenge once

How long does it take for the support team to change your id name? I sent them an email and the request has been sent through but my name hasnt been changed?
I think it was my internet connection, I joined the next race and only the first 2 guys had qualified, I started 10th and finished 4th as the 2nd car 1 lap down and gained 48 irating and .02 SR.
right now, I'm class C 2.14, If I drop below 2.0 what happens? am I then class d or class c 1.xx?
I don't have a clutch (stock DFGT) and I can still get off the line pretty fast, I put it in 1st and it'll auto-clutch and I just mash the gas when the light turns green
I'm going to post a video in a few mins and I'm not sure what to do, I've never reported any incidents before and I didn't look into the replay to see if it was retaliation. tell me if I should report it or if I Should let it be.
edit:
this kind of upset me but not really my "issue" for lack of a better word, to enter, what should I do?
something quit similiar had happened to me in a cts vr race yesterday even though it didnt neccessarily ruin my race, but my SR.
I spun out on my own and went off into the gravel, when suddenly out of nowhere a "Nick C." came and totally crashed me. When i looked at the replay i saw he was aiming for me perfectly... he was full throttle until he hit me .... even though i was quit a distance into the gravel .... SOF was 2400+.
iracing becoming like GT5 ???![]()
smuffyatfcpiRacing is amazing. Tried the caddy for the first time in a race today and came 3rd. But my safety rating has dropped a lot any help for a noob?
The CTS is massively out of place in the license progression. It should be C class at the very least. You're taking rookies, who have trouble driving a Miata cleanly at the best of times, and sticking them in a very powerful and fairly unstable racing car. Most of them simply don't have the skills to deal with it. And unfortunately there's little incentive for them to learn safe driving skills because they already have access to a great car. Previously they would have had to get out of rookie to get to something like a CTS, which would have necessitated learning a basic level of safe driving.
Disclaimer: Some rookies are completely capable of handling the CTS-VR, but for every one like that I'd say that there are 10 that should spend a couple months racing the Miata first.
The options are:
1. Don't race.
2. Race only in really big races and get yourself in a high split. Requires 2000+ iRating.
3. Drive super defensively. Race like everyone is a complete moron. Trust no one and nothing.
That's it, really. You're in an overpowered car with the least skilled drivers on the whole service. Adapt your driving accordingly. Pretend you're driving in India or something, I hear that's quite risky.![]()
Iracing can't change the class, because since caddilac gave them the car for free (basically) there contract says they have to use it as a rookie class until it ends.
