love it!! with a custom made PC (I stay steady around 170 FPS) on a 46" vizio LCD tv with surround sound stereo

I'll get to cleaning up the wires later.

Guys I just raced Dion Von Moltke in the Miatas, for anyone who doesn't know him, he races the APR Audi R8 in Grand Am in real life, I didn't even know it was him until after the race, needless to say he beat me, but I was hanging with him for 2 or 3 laps in the beginning. Pretty cool, I always thought pros using Iracing was a load of PR bull, guess not :p

Nice... It's always adds a little spark to the race when a pro comes wandering in. I still remember my first encounter with V8 Supercar driver Shane Van Gisbergen, lets just say I have some work to do if I want to be at that level :scared:

WOOHOO!

Weight ballast is coming for hosted sessions!

So we can finally have a true single class multi-make race! Corvette vs Ford GT vs Cadillac all running around the same lap times is going to be awesome!

Now if they can just eliminate the 3-car limit maybe we could do something like this all in one race:

HPD (no weight ballast)
HPD (with weight ballast)
Corvette + McLaren (one class)
Ford GT + Cadillac (another class)

That sounds like an awesome league to me!

@ Mac K, lol that's pretty cool. I think the pros may use it but only for testing unless they really get bored or something

@ Superbike, they're upping it to 4 cars instead of 3

I just did a quali in the legend and it reminded me of my Quarter Midget days when I qualify, I'd set a blazing fast lap on lap 1 and lap 2 something horrific would happen  one time I set fast time on lap 1 and on lap 2 the car came up in 2 wheels and I blew the wall 8 feet back. this time I set my fastest lap I've done yet, a 1:41.84x and blew the motor up downshifting to 2nd on the uphill to the 90 degree left hander

Any way I changed my setup and popped in the 2:93 instead of the 2:50 rear end to give it the power out of the corner http://www.racesetups.com/view/869

I'm considered a Pro in Japan ^^ And I'm on GTP as well. How does that make you feel??? :D

Hey everyone!
Just finished my first race about an hour ago (00:30GMT Mx-5 at Okayama). Started last, was up to 8th by the second lap, but on the 3rd lap I was hit by a faster driver who tried a clumsy ovetake into turn one. I managed to salvage 13th, 1 lap down. I had a great time though, loving iracing!
I have a few questions, if you guys could help that would be great. When I towed to the pits my crew service the car after the repair, is there any way I can stop this as it lost me a lot of time. Also, for a beginner do you recomend qualifying or starting from the back and trying to stay out of trouble? Thanks!

Nice! Its no joke haha. That what iRacing brings to the playing field.
And Dion isn't the only guy. You should see the list of guys of study/stalk lol.
Simon Pagenaud, Tony Stewart, Matt Plumb, Joey Logano, Jordan Taylor etc. they seem to get on atleast once a week.

Yes you have to use your pit boxes. I can't remember the default keys, maybe F4 for fuel? Find the correct box for fuel and tires and then cycle through them using the arrow keys, and the spacebar key to deselect the check boxes.

if you wait for grid timeout then join, you'll start in the pits, nit all depends on how comfortable you are in slowing/stopping to avoid "the big one." starting in the pits puts you a couple seconds behind the pack

That's awesome Mack! I've been in sessions with Fabian Coulthard, Matt Plumb, Thomas Sheckter and once I tried to join a practice session wich Lewis Hamilton was doing but was full! I think that's the only session he ever did, after that his been completely inactive it was arround the days when he did the trading paints thing with Tony Stewart. Dale Jr is pretty active on the oval side too, if you look for the race of champions in youtube you'll see a lot of real pro drivers that hold pretty respectable license and iRating levels!

So I just had a pretty awesome race in the Legend. I started really close to the front (only one SS Qualified along with me, the only legend) and I let a Late Model overtake me on the straight, He took the guy in front of me out and I almost completely stopped then went for the gap on the inside and I nicked him just enough to get a MeatBall which put me in 4th of 6 Legends and a 30 second gap to 3rd, and sure enough I hunted them down with 1 lap to go and made the pass and finished 2nd:)

Is there no iR or SR in wk13 or was it just because it was unofficial with 31 cars (11 finished  )?

Edit: Nice Run eric, once you got about 12 secs ahead I lost about 3 seconds a lap just paying more attention to the Late Model crowd's argument the one in my first race was a full blown swearing match and then decided to duke it out this race and this one was just hilarious with 2 completely different guys. I'm not sure I like this Late Model crowd........

Edit 2: just tried the iRacing CSP brake rumble program and it's pretty cool, I just wish the rumble was a little more, it's dampened by my foot ironically. Nevertheless it helps a lot :D

I'm liking the service, once you figure it out, it's pretty fun. I just wish people would show a little more respect in the Rookie level, I've seen just about every kind of dirty move in the book today. Trying to keep my safety rating up is hard when others aren't trying to do the same.

This has been a harsh realization for me too, most times they dont even say sorry either. Its so rare for someone to actually admit they made a mistake, so many ego's on the track.

Try starting from the pits and whatever you do don't get involved racing anyone! Leave that for next week when you get to D license!

Lol!! I havent seen him on since.

The Legends car is so much fun to drive on those short tracks, all ive been doing lately is oval races. I got a random +0.57 SR boost so now im well above the 3.00 i need for promotion out of rookie. I didnt think id be doing much oval racing on this game, but its a lot of fun i must say.

It's an awesome little car! Have you tried it on road courses yet? It is a blast!

Every time I do I apologize (which has so far only been once, I actually try and stay clean..) regardless if it was my fault or not.

Dont know if you have seen this yet Jav, but thought you might be interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOriRMFpwsc&feature=player_embedded

Lol! Yeah! That's me on the top comment! Pretty happy about that! We will be playing arround with that function so we can have it down for our next championship wich is looking like Riley DP with Ford GT/Cadillac running one class using the ballast feature on the Ford.

Don't let that discourage you guys! It gets 100 times better on the highe classes!
