great race. I finished 7th (started in back), very clean. Myself and a couple others kept swapping positions, then towards the end I passed him on the inside on the first turn (miata) and we were head to head into the next turn (left, so now I'm on the outside), we had some worn tires and he faded into me and we spun out. we both kept are position, but had 4 incident points. I still got +0.12. so I'm happy.

great race...............I love iracing!!!!.................and this rSeat lol

Hey All, a bit off topic, but I'm pretty bored with week13 and was thinking about getting rFactor2 this weekend....How many of you GTP iRacers have it and do you recommend it, are you having many issues etc ?
I've never tried rFactor before and I'm not very good figuring out pc issues so your opinions will be appreciated 👍
:cheers:

Everyone is out to get me, I'm telling you:p Leading a race by 10 seconds and a lapped car refuses to back off, he brakes early, then drives right in front of me, I get suspension damage, have to pit, come out in 5th, and finish 5th, lose 0.15 on my safety rating for an incident which wasn't even my fault.. how does that work exactly? :p

Think of SR in terms of "damage repair costs" and you'll understand it a little better. That guy who pulled in front of you most likely won't be paying for your repairs in a real race, so you've gotta take your wallet out and spend some SR to get it fixed.

I don't like the no-fault system either, but it keeps people in check fairly well, so I accept it as-is for now.

rFactor2 has quite a few performance issues currently, but if you have a good system and get the game setup correctly, I actually like the feel of rF2 *MUCH* better than iRacing. I actually feel like I'm driving the car in rF2, I can "feel" the car much better. I like the force feedback and tire model in rF2 much better as well, it just feels more realistic and more connected than iRacing. But remember, rF2 is an open-beta still in the development process, and performance optimizations are normally among the final things to be addressed.

The rookie class seems to have collected all the dirty drivers and kids from GT5, again leading another race, and some idiot hits me (more like destroys me, my car refused to turn at all afterwards) in the braking point on the straight at Summit Point, he was a lap down.. I'd like to say "thats racing" but not when people are driving like complete morons.. I know I'm a bit of a drama queen but this is very frustrating. Its like a battlefield.

I hear Week 13 brings out the loons. Not sure why because a lot of the races people see this behavior in are still official races.

Keep your head up man, I remember back in January I ran into a streak of races where I was getting take out almost every race, since then I focused on safety and iRating and had months of clean racing. You can't choose who you race with, and sometimes things just don't go your way.

I'm just trying to figure out what to drive next season. Lots of good options!

Who all is doing the week 13 Mazda? I just went out and practiced and was able to get 1'24.4 with the stock setup, it doesnt seem to do well in the slow tight area of the track though. At least this time i can try to tune the car and get it to turn, steering response seems so sluggish and doesnt grip well at low speeds.

I think why you see alot of issues with week 13 is on two account, mainly being rookie who have pride issues or lack of common sense trying to battle faster guys period. I will admit I have made some dumb mistakes thinking I could keep up, or just ran out of talent which messed up a few times. I try to be respectful and give up a spot to faster car but don't force the issue which I've seen leaders do causing some rookies to wreck which then pisses both guys off.

I get as frustrated at the wreckers who you can tell do it just for the fun. There is no real way to fix the problem. You also have guys grouped this week who aren't normally grouped together anyway, so that plays into it also.

I am. ;)

I need a better computer, when i enter races that have a lot of cars my FPS drop dramatically. I started 14th, worked my way up to 5th, then the screen got so choppy i couldnt tell what i was doing. Wreck after wreck, finished 11th, argh...

My dad got new tires put on his bmw 5 series, and got a 70$ mail and rebate, it came today and gave it to me. What should I buy? Things I can buy

-wait a month or two and get bodin's t500rs pedal load cell
-buy new headphones
-new keyboard and mouse (most likely sidewinder x4 and some microsoft mouse
)
-uh racing gloves? (running out of ideas)

Help me out!

Get a helmet.. :lol: Speakers might be a nice idea though.

Managed two more 2nd place finishes tonight at Summit in the MX-5, I can smell victory, I want a piece of it... Mmmmmmmm ;)

Loadcell, best investment you'll ever make!

I want the loadcell, but its a long wait until John Bodin will put it on sale he is right now changing the entire mounting system. Probably won't be on sale until august or september, possibly longer. Might as well buy csp's for christmas then :)

Not wrong :drool::drool::drool:

I have a Hosted session up right now for those of you interested in doing a pick up race with the Indy car around Charlotte at night.

How do I get rid of the Iracing banner, HUD, etc while watching a replay?

I really miss iRacing but I need to save some money to build a gaming PC. I'm going to try to get back to iRacing by next summer. I do have a few problems with coming back now. I'm really busy during the winter and spring. Also, my current PC can barely run the game at any settings higher than low. I see people with max graphics and I want to enjoy that also.

How is the new build? Does the tire model still feel the same or do you have to re-learn everything over again?

On topic, when they tweak cars, do they generally announce it or it is just discovered after the update?

As it turns out they do in some cases and not in others. There was a download for the SRF and an obvious difference in the new model - but nothing was mentioned.

Hosted session at Watkins with the Ford GT and Cadillac! Testing out the ballast system, feel free to jump in! 20 minute sprint race after practice!
