Those Zolder screen shots look nice:tup:
I don't know why some people think iRacing's graphics are dated. I personally really like how they render their tracks and cars.

Lol, ACTUALLY, my father and I got lost in the parking lot, made a wrong turn, and ended up simply driving onto the track. I wanted to take a lap, since there was no one else on it, but, he declined.
Blaze_409There comes a time in a mans life when he must....KICK his father OUT the car and LAP Mosport! lol.
How do championships work? I had 66 points last time I did a race, now I'm down to 62.. How does that make sense?
The thing with championship points is that if you run the same race over and over you will start loosing points unless you actually improve by winning or placing high on a higher SOF split. That's why the top guys only do 1 high SOF race and that's it for them!
Sorry for those guys but I'll take iRacing's graphics over the uber shinny graphics of GT5/Forza/P-C.A.R.S! All those games somehow end up putting extra strain on your eyes, i don't know if it's the low FPS count I get on them or what, but I can go 3hrs easy on iRacing but after 20 minutes on GT5 or P-C.A.R.S and I can feel my eyes getting tired.
So if I do 5 races on one track, and get a 2nd place finish with a high SOF, and a 1st place with a lower SOF, it'll take my 2nd place result over my 1st place result..?
It'll score the highest points finish.

I just posted my first post in the iracing forum, if I click "watch this topic" is that like "subscribing" here on GTP, and where do I check my topics that I watch?
superbike81The way points work is explained in section 4.6 of the sporting code.
Basically, if you do two races, it will take your highest score and count that one. If you do five races, it will count the average of your top 3. It averages the top 50% of your results.
For the entire season, if you run a standard 12 week series, you get four "drop weeks" which means the lowest 4 scores you have will not be counted towards your overall season points.
Are the 4 dropped weeks like whole weeks or just 4 dropped races? Im confused since I actually haven't ran for anything, and i was sitting pretty decent this first week.
MadRRYes your 4 lowest scoring weeks are dropped no matter how many races you do. They just count your best 8 weeks or less. For example you race all 12 weeks in a season. You score 100 points for 8 weeks and score 50 points in 4 of the weeks. The 4, 50 point weeks would be dropped and you would finish the season with 800 points. They start dropping your worst weeks starting week 9.
Roush_fan_99Less bias = oversteer on entry (because less front brakes and more rear)
More bias = understeer on entry (more front brakes, less rear)
When you mess with it in the garage it tells you what each thing does now after the update, which is pretty handy like when I can't remember which corner and which direction I need to adjust to balance my crossweight
