Hmmm. Been 2 years since I've signed up so I have probably forgot that I did that lol.

Ah it might have been different 2 years ago, sure you could always check on the site anyway right?

I gues we can all agree that iRacing rules :P

Got my first truck win today though :D Working late shifts and I had some extra time before work today so I thought Id just do a quick fixed race for fun and see what happened.
I was battling for 1st throughm the last half of the race. At lap 19 or 20 we had a catuian just as me and the 2nd car was running away from the pack. At the restart everything just resumed to the same pack racing with me in front. Then I made a mistake and fell back a few places, got someone to push me. And then just as I passed the leader someone crashed and there was a yellow flag for the rest of the race xD Man what a race xD

I dont realy speak much on these forums but I read every single word you gues type in xD Just had to share this, it felt so good!

Edit: When I get home from work I might make a short video of it xD

Good race... obviously ;)

But another guy from Vestfold, whohoo!! Good to see you here!

So far, iRacing is the only sim where I actually throw my fists in the air with joy and pride when I end up 2nd. I don't know why but racing this way gets my heart beating faster, as lame as it may sound.

What would you guys say is what makes iRacing this much exciting?

Agree, its the only racing game ive played where im still happy even if im not in the top 3

Had a win at the SM last night, it's been a while since I've won a race. The grid was pretty weak, I ended with a 30 seconds gap to second place. Still it feels good and I glad to finish with 0 incidents.

Good nights and bad nights.

Tonight was a bad night. :(

Taken out in the second lap of the fixed trucks race.

Taken out in the tenth lap of the Proto/GT fixed race by a careless backmarker HPD driver who had no business being in that car.

Nights like these make me want to throw my computer out the window just so I won't be able to play iRacing any more. Oh well, back at it tomorrow I guess.

Tell me about it.. people pay all this money for the service and drive like morons... I'm honestly getting tired of it.

It's the fact that you actually have consecuences, if you put a wheel wrong, if you tap another car you will be punished and while racing that's on the back of your mind so naturally when you hae a good result you really appreciate it!

Yeah, I have never understood this as well. I guess everyone can play the game as they please. Compared to how things were two years ago when I started, I like that there are a lot more members but, it seems like it has brought a long a lot of dangerous drivers. Guess that is just how things go I suppose.

Most of these drivers will be gone when the Cadillac promotion ends and there subscription ends.

I honestly think Iracing needs to look at a few things, I hate getting penalized for an incident I was never involved in. Sure I try to win, but I don't make stupid aggressive moves, if I make a mistake I don't take others with me, and if I go off my line, I don't pull back onto the racing line as someone goes through.. People are just way to impatient, I understand some contact, but it gets a little frustrating after awhile trying to keep it clean, and my fellow competitors can't seem to do the same because they're to impatient to wait and pass another car or they go for a gap that isn't there, etc. It should be mandatory to pass some sort of "license test" before even being allowed on the track. I have the 6 months free from Cadillac, but if I was paying for this service, I wouldn't want people wrecking me all the time and making dumb moves...

I had just a Cadillac race at Laguna Seca and omg what a terrible race.
While waiting for green in grid everyone was like "gl all", "be safe T1", but all was forgoten when lights went green.
I was starting from 4th and guy just behind me wrecked me in T1. I just don't get it why people are so agressive in lap one. There are 24 more laps for love of God.

Not to mention that my front right wheel was damaged and had to pit for over 1 minute which ruined my race.

PS. I'm C class at the moment but waiting before some buying new stuff for C races.

Why not move on to the Grand Touring Cup instead? Racing there is much better and clean! Just remember to quali and you'll be set for some good racing!

I did one already, got spun twice.. My safety rating was 3.61 two days ago, I'm now back to 2.57.. for incidents that weren't even my fault.

are you going to be racing trucks all season? not just daytona? and what time do you run at?

Im not a 100% sure yet. Im going to try and get as many races in as possible in the HPD+GT serries. So the truck serries is my 2nd priority right now, but I hope I will get to race most weeks.

Keep going at it, just try and be more aware of those spinners. Sometimes is better to just take it to the grass to avoid contact.

Funny thing is, I just had a clean race in the Miatas which I also happen to win :p I guess there are some people out there who do know the rules..

It's as simple as that! The further up you race the more rare it is come across the loonies, it still happens but it's pretty rare. Just keep doing the GTC and bump yourself to C license then you'll get a real taste of what iRacing is all about!

And I'm a member of the club now. Got a great race RUINED by an utter stupid 🤬 🤬 🤬 son of the 🤬!!!!

I began first and kept it trough the first 10 laps. In lap 11 I got overtaken when I made a mistake, no biggie. There was this lapped car between me and the first place, and he passed me as well when I lost first position. Then, when I overtaked him, the imbecile swerved me off the track!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

My hard-earned rookie safety rating, my pole position, my potential first win. All gone. Thanks, Matt whatever the damn it is that drives a blue miata and knows nothing about blue flags.

I know how some of you guys feel about getting wrecked on good races. It happens a lot. Even in the higher class series it still happens. You will have to move on. Forget the previous race. Use it to your advantage and out smart the field. Out of all the races I have done on iracing, I maybe have 10-15 clean races. I'm not talking about the no incident races but the field running very clean. The wrecks happen, it comes with iRacing.

CarBastard, That first win will come just stay calm and be smart.

Goosfraba...Goosfraba....

Anyways, I'll keep trying to get it. Thankfully my safety rating didn't drop much, so that's, well, not so bad . Anyways, I'll stand by my ethos: clean driving as much as possible. In fact, when I lost first place because I oversteered coming out of a turn, I prefered to turn the wheel again and lose complete control of the car rather than touch the guy coming to overtake me on the left.

I still can't believe how some people shield themselves with that "Blue flag means this and that" crap. It's common sense! You are lapped, you can't fight for anything, why being an obstacle??? That Hispania Racing Team mentality sucks.

Well, racing in the end. Just wanted to vent a little bit. Back to reading it is then :ouch:.

I completely get your frustration. I hate when people can't play properly and drive with at least a bit of respect.. I spun today, clipped one car, apologized, and then got hit by 4 more cars while stationary off the the track, lost 0.43 safety points, which was very upsetting.. I did however have a funny race today. I was racing the Miatas, running in 3rd and on lap 7 or 8 2nd place attempts to spin out the leader, they make contact, so I back right off, but I was to close already and they hit me, I did a 720 degree spin, had no suspension damage luckily, and went on to win :p
