I am only about 3 tracks away from owning all content for iRacing and they are 3 lame oval's. I will buy them, there are some cool cars and tracks in iRacing and the thing is they aren't that much money. Plus when you purchase in groups of 3 you get a deal.

Not disagreeing with that. People just have different priorities. At the end of the day, all costs are just added up it is a fair bit, you cannot deny that.

More purchases doesn't work for me because I only have time to race ones series and to be honest, I have other games to play to. If iracing is your only game, then sure, it's hell worth it.

It's been awhile since I did a grand am race but it happens just not all the time, and if a DP hits a mustang, there's about a 90% chance the DP gets taken out too, so it's usually just a mistake

I just did some practice in the SRF, and that is a tough car to initially learn but I'm starting to get the hang of it

I wish this was the case with the HPD's in the Proto/GT series. I don't know what it is, but it's almost like the HPD's get an invincibility mode when they run into the back of a GT car causing them to spin, yet the HPD drives off at normal speed like nothing happened.

And don't you get a decent discount off future purchases once you own all the content?

Yes, there certainly is a big expense if you are just starting out for iRacing. After a couple weeks I wondered what it would be like to drive that Riley Prototype, so I bought it. Then a couple weeks later I thought about getting the Ford GT and I bought that too. Then someone told me if you purchased in groups of 3 you get deals.

Even after I purchased all the GT cars and not even thought about ovals and NASCAR, their staring me in the face was the Chevy Impala, so I bought that and a couple big ovals like Daytona and Talladega and I haven't even raced them yet, I will someday. Really it didn't take that long to accumulate everything, it's not like I got everything overnight. I would think it was almost a year, to me that's cheap entertainment. I would purchase $25-$30 per month on cars and tracks, occasionally I would spend $50 per month.

Other then racing games I play some NHL and Tiger Woods on the Xbox with friends and that's it for my gaming. I have an i7 just for iRacing and a couple of Sim bin titles, rFactor and pCARS and that's it, no one else in the family uses it. I do see your point, especially if you have a young family. My youngest son is 17 years old and he has his own i7 PC and Xbox, PS3.

I guess superbike answered that which I wasn't aware of.
25%

Once you are that close, there is no good reason not to buy the rest of the content.

Ya, I plan on getting the remainder soon, I will get 1 more certificate as well. :)

 that's awesome, are they going to model the backfire or whatever that's considered into it? Do any of the iRacing cars do that now

guys is there anyway to edit the lock to lock wheel configuration?? i feel my wheel is limited. for example when i turn to the right.. when i turn very litle i feel its like the car has turned the steering wheel all the way to the right making it turn much more sharply than i want to.. ? Thankss.. btw im now 4.54 sr shouldnt i be C licence now or do i have to reach 4.99 first?

You have to do 4 races or 4 timetrials in races witch you have to have your D-Class. If you do rookie races and reach 4.99 you will still be a D-Class licence.

Or you can jump into do C-Class races as every C-Class event accept D-Class 4.00 or higher.

About your wheel and lock to lock I have no idea about. But maybe try re calibrate it??

If you hold your mouse on the MPR logo(just on the right of your helmet at the press room page) you can see how much races you still have to complete.

about your wheel: go to options>steering: and change "limit car's lock-to-lock range at speed". maybe it helps.

Recalibrate the wheel (correctly) and see what it does. And what wheel is it?

Edit: "Limit wheel's lock-to-lock range at speed" is mostly for gamepads. Unless its a really low end wheel with not much range at all, it probably should not be used.

who is doing the f1 gp? how many pitstops are you doing? im thinking of only one. starting off with around 136 points of fuel then jumping up to around 240 on my second stint should be plenty of fuel for the final 28 laps

3 Stopper here!

with half a tank its only 2 stops. at 130 pounds i do 16 laps,

what did you qualify at? i did a 1:51.1 (i can go around 1:50 light fuel perfect tires, but i wanted to be super comfertable) i saw people in the 1:47s!

Lol! Sorry! That's what i meant! 2 stops, 3 stints...
Managed a 49.9 in practice right before quali, but ended up wit a 50.1 on the actual quali session. Kept pushing too hard and going too deep on the brakes, overall I'm happy with that time!

Check "degrees turn" specs in the device properties in Windows. Mine sometimes resets to 450 for some reason. Also does this when plugged back into PS3.

Although I have no interest in the F1 car whatsoever, it looks like you guys had fun. Congrats on your win Jeff.

It was definitely fun. Mostly because it was on an F1 track, and glassy smooth. I've driven the F1 a couple of times before but was always fighting to get it around a place with bumps.

i HATE the f1 car. (well not hate) but i have a very hard time driving it. i found a setup online for spa and it has made me love the car. one of the most fun races i have ever had. 44 laps are pure qualifying and pit stops at the last second. i think i will spend more time on the next big iRacing events. it was worth it.

I used Jacob Nielson's setup posted in the weekly race thread. One click less exit locking made it easier on me. Another click probably would be better still. I was having problems on third gear exits.
